finger, really. like i said it happened so fast, now the 17-year-old is fighting for his life. he was shot in the head in the left eye. he was home on the 5300 block of lindbergh boulevard. philadelphia police have confirmed one person has been detained. our crews were there as this young man was cuffed and put into the back of a police van. no word on his involvement another neighbor paul faller said this is the result of bigger problem, that's young people having guns. >> a lot of us need to have is to put the guns away, get some boxing gloves. these kids are too young to get shot. >> reporter: it's not clear what circumstances led up to it, but again, the 17 shot in his eye was shot by his friend who did stay at the scene. reporting live in southwest philadelphia, bob brooks channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. police in delaware county

are investigating a stabbing this noon. chopper 6 hd was in upper darby before 10:30 a.m. no word on the condition of the victim or what led to the shooting. a 22-year-old man was shot and killed following an argument in philadelphia's germantown section overnight. authorities say it happened inside a third floor apartment along the unit block of east penn street after midnight. detectives say one of the men pulled out a gun and killed the other man and took off. officers captured him a short time later. >> all right, the nfl draft days away, tonight the final phase of road closures go into effect as crews continue to work on the parkway. 7:00 p.m., the buyer parkway closes -- the entire parkway closes. nearby residents say the iconic

>> fire investigators are looking for what may have sparked a fast-moving house fire that killed five people including three children in queens new york. the mayor of new york is calling the blaze a devastation of a family. a neighbor driving by saw the flames and called for help. the wood framed home burned so quickly it was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived. mother nature gave firefighters in florida a little help in battling devastating wildfires. 7,000 acres of handle have been scorched that helped firefighters to gain 50% containment in the blaze. four homes and two sheds and two vehicles have been destroyed in the fire. there's concern of burned trees in danger of falling down. police in chicago are on the hunt for burglars who hit a high end store along the famed
