huntington park section. one crash left one person dead and others injured. >> christie ileto is at the scene. >> officers and tow truck drivers are trying to clean up what's left of the scene on i street. earlier this evening was a larger scene, four cars involved in the accident, five people taken to local hospitals and one man is dead. that man was driving this white honda accord. witnesses say around 8:15 he was barreling down huntington park avenue when he crashed. he hit a utility pole. that driver veered into oncoming traffic and crashed. his exact speed and whether he was under the influence is

unclear. his body us with taken to the local autopsy. >> christie ileto "action news." >> now to two fires that took a tragic toll. >> we begin in philadelphia where a woman five months preg was found dead. annie mccormick is live at the scene with details. the fire marshall is calling this suspicious. >> firefighters responded to a 911 call around 7:30 this morning here on the 2100 block pof west susquehanna boulevard.

witnesses describe the deadly blaze. >> it was a bunch of flames. i was in shock mode. i didn't know what to do. >> whoever was in the house, they were getting people in and out of the house. they said someone didn't make it out. >> police confirm firefighters discovered a 35-year-old woman dead in a seng second floor bed. the victim was vi visiting her boyfriend from out of town. the fire marshall returned with investigators collecting evidence and taking photos of two vehicles, both parked outside of the residence. >> the victim is from out of state.

at this point police have not released her identity because they are reaching out to family. annie mccormick, channel6 "action news," back to you. >> now to a fire in the wynnefield section where a couple and their adult son were killed this morning. neighbors say the victims were part of the community for decades. >> today we watched as heart broken friends tried to console each other. >> the home caught fire, police confirm three of the four people inside were killed. >> annie was a beautiful tiller of the community. i was going through my own stuff and she prayed. >> the woman who died went by miss annie. the victims were family, a couple that lived here a long time and their adult son. the couple is said to have

worked to keep the neighborhood safe and help others. >> they ran the diamond club around the corner where neighborhood people gather. >> the senator vincent came to express his condolences. >> so sad. >> his chief of staff lives on the block. >> shirley and cliff hickman. >> she says she's known the couple for years and they'll be milsdzed sbemissed. >> so sorry to see them go. >> a fourth victim jumped out of the second floor. he suffers from a broken leg. no word on what sparked the flames, but we can confirm there were no working smoke alarms inside the home.

bob brooks, "action news." >> a man is in critical condition after police used a stun gun on him during an arrest. police were called to h 34th street for a domestic disturbance. they say the man resisted when they tried to put him into hand handcuffs. he was transferred to temple in critical condition. >> a body was found in the delaware river near where a man went missing. 16-year-old antoine fox disappeared in the water yesterday while swimming with friends. officials have not yet identified the body found hours ago. >> one person was killed during a boat crash.

the hull of the second boat struck the first boat and one of the crew members was killed. the boats were fighting eight to 10-foot swells. >> the guy on our boat said he hasn't seen water like this since 2004. >> it's rough out there. >> after the crash, all of the boats were pulled from the water. a pilot was forced to make an emergency landing near westchester. the exact nature of the h emergency is unclear but the pilot managed to put the cessna 182 down in the field despite losing his left wing to a utility pole before landing. >> temperatures were cooler than average but it was a pleasant day. now we are tracking rain for the

the judge chose allegheny county in an attempt to find jurors less exposed to pretrial discussion. >> cosby says the encounters were consensual. if found guilty he could face ten years in prison. the trial is set for norristown june 5th. >> two more catholic parishes in philadelphia will join effective june 19th. the new parish will keep the name, resurrection of our lord. a shift in catholic population, decline in attendance and a shortage of priests were factor in the decision. >> andy sealy whose battle against breast cancer attracted
