>> reporter: septa this is all sparked by a media posting telling a large group to gather around this station. in the end at least three kids were arrested and one police officer was injured and taken to the hospital. >> got off the "l" and they had a fight up here, there was an officer that got injured in the melee. there was two juveniles arrested for that and there was another fight around the corner and another juvenile was alerrested for that. >> reporter: this all happened around 3:00 this afternoon. students from three area schools were involved about the time of their dismissal. a social media posting said to gather. police were able to stop this from impacting septa, that's according to septa. the fights with police both happened at two different intersections on "o" street. back out here we're told that the injured officer hurt his rib after he was knocked down by students. in the second fight students

in coatsville. this is 28-year-old barry baker of coatesville. he's free on bail tonight. he was wanted for this attack on a man who suffers from cerebral palsy. >> he did run from the police once but he turned himself in today and was arraigned. >> reporter: the da says this is baker sucker punching his victim around 2:30 a.m. we're concealing the victim's face. the surveillance footage is quite clear. the movement is mocked by baker as he enters the store and then this. >> and then when the victim comes back out, the defendant does it again. he's making fun of how the victim moves, how he walks. and then out of no where, the victim is just standing there and the defendant just turns and suckerpunches him right across the face. you can see him bleeding out of his nose. >> unprovoked? >> totally unprovoked. >> reporter: he can be seen

a special ceremony in old city today honoring a local paramedic and a rescue worker who went above and beyond. this was the philadelphia fire department's annual emt of the year. and this year's recipients were charles moore and natasha gonzalez. they were rescued for their extraordinary teamwork to rescue and recess tate patients and in one case they delivered a baby. they were honored as heros.

they found urbansky sitting on a bench. he's being held without bond. >> new video has surfaced showing the moment two boats collided during a race at the jersey shore. the deadly crash happened over the weekend at the point pleasant grand prix. a popular event for professional racers. investigators are trying to figure out of course what went wrong. nora muchanic with the latest. >> the second to last boat. two men were ejected and flew out and were just gone. >> reporter: this was the scene sunday afternoon in the aftermath of a deadly speed boat crash during the grand prix race off point pleasant beach. >> at this point they're bringing two people into the coast guard station. >> reporter: killed in the crash was 38-year-old david rabe of

forkd river. his teammate was critically injured. this is a photo of them right before the crash. authorities say for unknown reasons during one of the races, repeat founder turned and crossed into the path of a both called smith brothers. >> one of the boats was in the air because of rough water and when it came down it basically came down on the other boat. >> reporter: brothers richard smith and peter smith were ejected from their boat which then sank. they were not seriously injured. racers say conditions yesterday were difficult. >> the guy that was running the throttles on our boat says he hasn't seen water like this since 2004 actually. >> reporter: david rabe was the father of three and an experienced racer. his family declined to comment today. attempts to reach the smith brothers were unsuccessful. the boat repeat offender has been wrapped up in a tarp and

in reading, 67 degrees in dover, 64 at the atlantic city airport. it's kind of damp and chilly out there after that recent rain and most of the heavy rain today was in southern new jersey as well as delaware. 2-3 inches of rain in parts of atlantic county, camden county, cumberland county. if you are north and west of philadelphia, close to a trace. it was all about location today. that first round pulling into new england. a brake and then you see a second round down to the south trying to get its act together. another round west of st. louis. so there's very ensettled pattern will continue through the rest of the week. tonight the rain will shut off. patchy fog developing 64 degrees for center city. high pressure is a little too far to the north and too weak too give any sun here for tomorrow. so it's cloudy again. that second system coming in from the south. so the heaviest rain much like today tomorrow afternoon will be south and east of philadelphia. dryer to the north and west. and then at this point it looks

philadelphia. the woman killed in the blaze has been identified by family as tavonia simon love and we have been able to confirm that the owner of the property, anthony eubanks has had issues with that victim. sarah bloomquist is live at headquarters. can we say an arson investigation is now under way? >> reporter: jim, not yet. we're still waiting for the fire marshal to issue a report on the cause of this fire. we're also waiting for the medical examiner to issue a report and determination on the cause of death. we have learned more about the owner of the property. where the fire happened. and a pending court case in delaware county that seemed to indicate the property owner and the victim of the fire had a violent past. police remain on the scene of the fire on west susquehanna
