we expected them to be scared. so that was our concern getting the information out right away to lessen the impact to the public. >> he was conducting a safety drill when he got the word. and they were inundated with calls and they performed a reverse 911 telling people that the message on tv was not true. >> how the mistake was made and how it got out. and educate the problem we need to be prepared for events. your family should have a plan in place. >> back out live the investigation continues, we can tell you that county leaders say that this problem did not ridge nate with them but likely with the state. we are waiting to hear back from the state at this point. but the good news in all of this is that it's a mistake and no lives were ever in danger. >> no doubt that is the good

news thank you. turning now to the latest developments from manchester, england. authorities say it's becoming evident that the suicide bombing suspect was part of a terror network. british investigatored carried out several raids to root out possible accomplices in monday's attack during it's ariana grande concert. five people are detained including the brother of the suicide brother. salman abedi's father was also arrested in libya. >> it's clear there is a network we are investigating and as i said it continues at a pace an extensive investigation is going on and activity taking place across greater manchester as we speak. >> 22 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in the explosion. ariana grande announced today she has canceled concerts for

the time being. and people around the world are standing with the victims in solidity. governor chris christie had flagged lowered to half staff. offering the state's deepest sympathies for the victims. and south jersey jury is still deliberating the fate of a young father and the death of his young son and they came forward with questions. john rawlins live with what the jury needed to know. >> reporter: hi brian, they wanted to see and hear from the development he was not heard at the trial but was seen and heard at court via recordings. they wanted to see and hear the recordinged again. >> the jury asked to hear again the 911 tape where david creato first reported his son missing in the morning of october 15th, 2015 and see the entire video of

creato's police interrogation made earlier that morning. a distraught creato reacted with sobs when they told him his body was found. >> no. no. >> prosecution contends this is just theater. the state nature rates that the father killed his son in order to maintain a romantic relationship with a young woman. she testified at the trial she considered breaking up with creato in part because she was upset with the 3-year-old presence when the couple spend weekends together. the case is circumstantial. no evidence or dna or video. they asked for reasonable doubt did the prosecution prove its case. >> probably or could have or might have, what happened. more questions than you have answers because you can't be

approaching broad street that is now cleared out of the way, coming south of penn's landing speeds in the 30s and 9 miles per hour on 676 southbound and merge with the 42 freeway southbound and as you head to king of prussia and towards the mall and the schuylkill expressway the northbound lanes taking out the left lane. coming north of chester brook just 15 miles per hour there as emergency crews remain on the scene. in delco a crash along sprawl road close to baltimore pike and the state of delaware blocking the ramp from philadelphia pike and the claymont interchange to go south on 95. that ramp is out of commission, lets grab the ipad and do the commuter report and a crash along the boulevard northbound side inner lanes close to somer dale avenue and it's causing slowing in the area. and 20 minute delays now on all the septa regional rails.

president trump is in brussels this afternoon. as he continues his first trip abroad since taking office. earlier he was in rome for a private meeting with pope francis can was described as cordial as they exchanged gifts.

70 in philadelphia and cooler at the shore in cape may and temperatures 62 degrees, satellite and radar, shows that this very active storm pushing through kentucky and the ohio valley. you see the tornado watching popping up in parts of virginia and north carolina. we won't see severe weather but a good amount of heavy rain here. we'll track it with future tracker 6 at 2:30 in the morning heavy rain south of wilmington and bright colors on the radar and even thunderstorms early in the morning 7:00 a.m. that pushes into philadelphia and all points to the north so a very slow start to the rush tomorrow and it starts to break apart south of philadelphia and we are not done with the rain once it stops in the morning because more scattered stuff will pop in the afternoon at 6:00 and heavy hitting thunderstorms will redevelop as the energy rotates around the low. half inch to inch rainfall totals, but lancaster and wilmington over an inch, that could be the thunderstorms that develop.

plastic surgeons off for a mid drift makeover. and officials in chester county say that two counselors at a rehab facility overdosed on the drug that they are helping addicts kick. >> reporter: it involved a potent combination of heroin and fentanyl. the facility is located in a wooded area, up near the makeshift no trespassing signs. eight people were living there recovering addicts and two counselors. they worried something like this would happen but never like this. tom hogan knew something was out of the ordinary when he received a call about a drug overdose on a sunday. >> that is sad but not that unusual. so why are you calling me? >> it's the two counselors at the halfway house that overdosed

and died. >> it was the six recovering addicted that found the counselors in two separate bedrooms. in a twist of irony the addicts tried to help them about nasal doses of narcan. and they were pronounced dead. >> they came back positive for heroin and fentanyl. it's incredibly deadly and we don't even let our police handle it. that is what killed the two young men. >> they found used needles and these heroin bags stamped with skull and cross bones and superman logos. >> it's part of a rural community in chester county something that neighbors protested before the permits were granted two years ago. they say they have empathy for the addicts but question running

that police believe may have robbed the public bank branch twice. located on the 8,000 block of frank ford avenue. the suspect walks into the bank at noon and demanded money and police believe that the same person robbed the same bank on january 4th. anyone with information is asked to call police. pennsylvania is one step closer to complying with the nation's real i.d. law, lawmaker as proved a bill giving residents the option to get a new drivers license or i.d. for standards enacted before 9/11. without the law pennsylvanias would be forced to use a passport to enter federal buildings and fly anywhere starting in january. the bill is heading to governor wolf's desk and he will sign it. some young students in philadelphia are encouraged to think about their future and possible professions it's career

day at southwest academy charter and leaders wanted to make the day fun and careers that would have a lasting impression on the kids and dancers talked about their training and work and showed off their moves and local firefighters came over and gay them an up close demonstration of how it works and what it takes to respond to dangerous situations. philadelphia's mayor spent the morning on the stage showing off his vocal skills. ♪ ♪ is that him? he sounds good. mayor jim kenney joins students for a few songs for the girard academic program in philadelphia. after the sing along they had a chance to take mayor kenney and talk to him about their love of music. how about that? >> more talents we are finding out about. time to head back outside to longwood gardens where they are getting ready for the big return of the main fountain garden.

new tsa screening require manies are being tested that could target large electronics. abc news learned the changes that will be rolled out later this year requires travellers to remove electronics bigger than cell phones and some food items from their bags and place them in bins to be screened separately. they say it's not in response to a specific threat and not related to the electronics bands from the middle east. but in an effort to keep the lines moving. all right time now for big talkers we begin with the controversy swirling over a pregnancy punishment.

want but can't take back. crash. several of them this afternoon and this one is on the end of the ramp from the roosevelt boulevard extension route 1 southbound to go westbound on the schuylkill. the good news is we don't have the accident a whole lot longer. the tow truck is in here and getting ready to toe away the vehicle and slow from the boulevard to ridge avenue trying to get on the schuylkill because of that crash at the end of the ramp. but the slower speeds are on the northbound side and didn't help us out since last we spoke an accident on the northbound side of wissahickon that is now gone and extra heavy coming off the schuylkill this afternoon on the northbound side of the boulevard extension and plenty slow on 955 miles per hour on the northbound side by the ben franklin bridge and we are watching a crash on the northbound side of 202 heading to king of prussia and that is cleared out and slowing on the southbound side. speeds in the 20s because of the ongoing construction on the ramp from 202 southbound to the 30
