breakthrough in breast cancer, and what to look for if you suspect your teen of using drugs. that's next. >> delaware valley's leading news program with jim gardner. >> it is wednesday night. the big story on "action news" tonight is breaking news from media delaware county where police have converged on a cvs on baltimore pike. dann cuellar is live. what's happening there? >> jim, we have a large contingent of law officers that surrounded the cvs store. media police including state police are on the scene. initial reports indicate some time around 9:00, they received word of a robbery in progress. when officers arrived, the robber realized he had nowhere

to go, tried to stage a standoff, then tried to hide in the store. he is now trapped in an upstairs storage room. police have evacuated everyone from the store and with the place surrounded, he has nowhere to go. police say they have all of the time in the world and hope at some point the fellow will come to his senses and give himself up peaceably. he has no hostages. he's in there by himself in the storage room. they are going to wait this one out hoping he will come to his senses. we'll keep an eye on this, jim. dann cuellar, "action news," wphl-17. >> we want to show you storm tracker radar and the blob of green from the south will make your morning commute unpleasant if not worse. that's the first of a one-two

restaurant. a bartender was arrested across from radner high school. edward of bridge port sold cocaine to undercover officers four times on the job. health officials closed the restaurant to check whether drugs were stashed inside. >> 21-year-old dante robertson is in hospital after being shot in a home invasion in sick letterville. it's hardly the first time he's come to the attention of police. live at the hospital, annie mccormick. annie? >> jim, several years ago he was charged in the death of a 12-year-old girl. it shook the town to its core. tonight members of the family are disturbed hearing about the newest arrest and unrelated crime however they are not surprise.

>> today camden county authorities charged the 21-year-old for a violent home invasion, the same man charged in the autumn 2012 killing in clayton new jersey. autumn's father says the court shouldn't have let robinson out when he did. he was charged with his teenage brother justin. the young girl was found in a garbage bin after she went to the boy's home to buy bike parts. >> in 2013 dante was released after pleading giltdy to an obstruction of justice charge. just after midnight monday, the camden county prosecutor's office says robinson broke into a home. off camera the homeowners say

four or five men beat and terrorized them. the homeowner shot him to protect themselves. >> in the memorial park in clayton, the family gathered, autumn's father vowing to be in the courtroom for the case. >> i'm going to tell the judge, don't let this happen again. you have him again. keep him there. you know what he did in the past. what makes you think he will stop doing this. >> the camden county prosecutor's office won't release further detail in the home invasion case including if the assailants are out there. he faces charges of aggravated assault to endangering a child. once released from hospital, he will go to jail. back to you. >> thank you, annie. this is president trump's tweet

exclusive access as to how to train for life and death crisis in the sky. chad is here with a special report. >> how did you get access? >> we have producers. they granted us access. global aviation is a primary target. after a five year hiring freeze, the administration is increasing the ranks of air marshalls to keep you safe in the skies. we go inside the training of recruits. >> this is a simulated bomb attempt with paid actors. >> for federal air marshalls, there is little room for error in the sky. >> we have to keep the training realistic, dynamic. our paid role players help us out in that area a lot. >> it's one of the most unique

critical of the air marshall program in previous years. some call it out dated and understand necessary. there hasn't been a hijacking attempt since 9/11, but a ban from six middle eastern countries last month has new concern that our skies may be vulnerable. they'll stay out of the politics and train to keep our public safe. >> we could be on a flight anywhere in the world. >> we have seen it often, unruly patients on a flight. air marshalls don't generally intervene in such situations. they wouldn't say how many have been hired and cited cfltality.

we are getting echoes over maryland. the rain is falling over washington d.c., pushing north so it will be here by daybreak. philadelphia, 60 down from a high of 72, four degrees below normal, cool and peeks of sunshine today. allentowning 61, cape may, 56. the system i'm tracking, one low through the ohio valley. this forms another low, triple point low over us pulling in the moisture and brings the potential for storms late in the day. they'll be scattered but strong. the morning rush, this is when we get the steady rain. use caution. there could be ponding on roads. steadiest rain around 6:00 in the morning. the commute will be the toughest by 8:30 clearing out with scattered showers throughout the
