gloucester county. officials say the propane is coming from a rail car parked in austin court in logan township. residents living within a half mile radius is asked to leave their home. it's up clear how much has leaked out so far. we have learned that this leak as forced police to close exit 10 on i-295 southbound. and logan police are handling the evacuation of nearby homes. stay with channel 6 "action news" and 6abc.com for the updates on this breaking story. turning to accuweather a rainy morning is giving way to a damp afternoon. as we look live outside. sky 6 hd showing you trying to show you the gloomy view of the ben franklin bridge, it's a soggy thursday for sure. meteorologist, david murphy is here now with the latest from accuweather. keep the umbrella handy today david. >> there is a little bit a lull

now and later on in the afternoon and evening some additional thunderstorms are headed our way and most of the rain that came through at times in the morning commute. has now passed up to the north and you see the yellow that was bothering us earlier it's now rain in the northern suburbs. right down to the south that is what is coming next. we see a thunderstorm down south of the delmarva and that sort of activity we expect late in the afternoon and in the southern suburbs and the evening hours in philadelphia. it's a struggle to bounce the numbers up with the thick cloud cover and the moist atmosphere in place. down in the south we see in dover we spiked to 71 degrees, 66 in millville and we expect the milder air late in the afternoon pushing into philadelphia. here is where numbers are going. 63 by 2:00 and 68 by 4:00 and going for a high of 70. if we hit that we see it late in the day at 5:00, and we dip into

the low 60s by 10:00. and you see how i am posting the chance of thunderstorms into the evening hours, look out for thunderstorms, the national storm prediction center has our area in an isolated risk for a thunderstorm. that would mean that anything that does form at least here or there in the region would have the possibility of producing strong damaging winds and some hail. the word to the wise if you hear thunder you head indoors on the lower floors and hopefully most of you miss out on that. a slight chance of a torn here in the wide yellow areas into the virginias, a small chance and another reenforcing almost in that. also coastal flood advisory for the second straight night. minor flooding in high tide between 7:45 and 8:45 in the ocean front and later than that in the back bays and in these minor events move your cars later this evening. i'll track the storms later in

locked himself inside of the building. jeanette reyes is at the store in media where the suspect finally surrendered. >> managers took the time to talk to employees here about the incident yesterday. quite a different scene this morning or this afternoon just 12 hours ago the place was flooded with police and s.w.a.t. teams. one by one this morning customers showed up to the cvs along the 200 block of baltimore avenue only to find it was closed. a sign said so but no specific reason was given. i saw the cars here and was wondering if you were open. >> confused customers were shocked to hear that their neighborhood cvs was the scene of a two hour standoff less than 24 hours ago. >> it's not an average night in media. >> media police received a call of a robbery in progress and

authorities identified the suspect. and he was dressed in all black with a black mask and allegedly walked into the store demanding cash from an employee. and no customers were there at the time. >> it's crazy. i didn't think that anything would happen in media. he forced the employee into the bathroom, and one employee had the presence of mind to call police. officer as rived before the suspect had a chance to leave the scene, he first exited from the rear and after seeing police he rushed back inside only to try to leave from the front doors and seeing police there too. he surrendered to police after a two hour standoff. his weapon was found inside. >> it's the reality that we wake up with every morning. in a statement cvs pharmacisy said in part we are grateful for the fast response of law enforcement and nobody was

harmed during the incident and offering counseling to any store employees as a result of this difficult ordeal. >> the employees managed to be safely evacuated just before the standoff. we are told that just minutes ago mr. hudson was arraigned and facing serious charges in connection to this incident. reporting live in media, channel 6 "action news." thank you. jurors are still trying to reach a verdict in the trial of a haddon township father accused of of killing his young son. yesterday they asked for a replay of video shown during the trial. and prosecutors say that creato killed his 3-year-old son brendon to stop his then girlfriend from leaving him in 2025. creato says that the boy wandered away from home. eight people are in custody in connection with the deadly concert bombing in england. and they found enough materials

breaking news coming into "action news," delaware authorities are on the scene of a helicopter crash in newcastle. the crash was reported just before noon, just a few minutes ago. this is the 100 block of quigley boulevard. no word on injuries. we are working to get information. a helicopter just crashed on quigley boulevard. stay with us for the latest updates. health check this noon, if you sleep for newer than six

a view shows you precipitation pushing past bethlehem. it's ground clutter down on the radar, if we took the signal down low you consee that detailed view of the light rain pushing past lehigh valley airport. looking outside we have the action cam out earlier and the ducks -- i don't know what they eat? earlier you see the rain falling on our highways, by ways and waterways and that is pushing out of here now and the ducks are drying off a bit. the temperatures, it has been a struggle to get out of the 50s and now just 60 in philadelphia. winds 6 miles per hour. and a long slow climb to the afternoon high and we probably won't top out until 5:00 this afternoon. it's one of those light days. however down south you see that dover continues to shoot on up there. 75 in dover and we expect warmer air to push up closer to

philadelphia. allentown stuck in the 60s down to the cool ocean water, future tracker 6 shows you in the afternoon little rain and mainly cloudy skies and a couple of sprinkles and showers possible and in the afternoon and evening we'll be on the lookout for another round of precipitation and in this case it could feature thunderstorms, some of these as they pop up could be strong gusty storms and if you hear a rumble of of thunder i want you indoor the lower floors. at 9:30 this pushes away from us, and the cape btibility of those storms being high. 65 is the high in the lehigh valley. and down the shore we are looking at gray skies and damp conditions and maybe a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening in the south and evening tidal flooding, it's
