news" is the violent day in delaware county and the search under way for the gunmen responsible. >> the first shooting happened just before 8 o'clock a block away from chester high school. by 12:30 police were called to four scenes including were one that sent officers scrambling for cover. dann cuellar has the latest. >> a 35-year-old man is accused of using a camera on his shoes to take inappropriate pictures of women. jeffrey wilson was spotted suspiciously following a woman and her daughter at a shop rite in upilton. investigation police found wilson was using a hidden camera attached to his shoe to tphotake of female shoppers. police want to know if there are more victims. if you have any information please call hamilton police. >> traffic on southbound 295 was a tough go this afternoon a t square road exit shutting down

all lanes for a time. no injuries were reported. the cause of the crash still under investigation tonight. camden is continuing its push to demolish vacant and abandoned buildings in the city. officials want to get rid of these eyesores to pave the way for redevelopment. nora muchanic has an update on the efforts to rid camden's neighborhoods of polite. >> reporter: heavy equipment is demolishing an old medical office on the 1200 block of kaighn avenue in camden's gateway neighborhood. the city is using a 3 million-dollar state loan to clear away vacant and abandoned commercial properties like this. >> we're struggling and working hard to rebuild camden and so this is a step forward to clear this site that will hopefully attract development to this particular site. >> this building has been like this for several years now and we're trying to bring some new businesses here to the city. >> reporter: in the last year and a half the city has knocked down about 600 vacant houses. what officials call the largest demolition project in state history.

phase three of the program focuses on vacant commercial buildings. police say all of these abandoned structures are magnets for crime. >> we're eliminating places for prostitutes to go. we're eliminating the places for them to stash their drugs or to sell drugs. we had fires because they were in there doing the dru it just untracts the indesirables to your community. >> reporter: reverend anderson built new affordable homes behind his church when a row of abandoned houses was knocked down several years ago. he hopes to put more in the lot where this building is being demolished. >> we put 10 homes up and put homeowners in the homes. the crime dropped by 80 percent within a year. >> this is going to give opportunity to build structures, new structures. >> it does give more opportunity for development. that is a good thing. >> reporter: officials say these commercial demolitions are another important step in the ongoing effort to turn camden around. in camden, i'm nora muchanic, channel6 "action news."

elizabeth was carrying hir favorite stuffed dog maggie through atlanta georgia's airport last month when she left it at the gate. well maggie once belonged to her mom. it was her mom's favorite toy, too. and hasn't been seen since. the heirloom dog was last wearing a dress with reindeer print as seen in the picture. a hundred dollars is being offered by the family for its safe return. >> philadelphia firefighters spent the day educating families on the importance of fire safety. they went door to door along the 2500 block of north water street in kensington making sure everyone home was equipped with working smoke detectors. they installed first alert smoke alarms wherever they were needed. in the last few weeks there have been several deadly fires in the city. >> from the court to the garden members of the 76ers were busy today. 250 sixers and employees volunteered to revitalize camden's children garden. they did that landscaping. they took a break and were treated to a show by the sixers entertainment team.

a whole community and w cannot stand for it. >> reporter: that happened at 7:50 this morning. then at 9:18 another shooting between men in two cars at ninth and kerlin. that left a man in a mercury grand marquis hospitaunshot wounds. as police investigated both of these incidents believed unrelated the high school was on lockdown os a -- as precaution. >> we're going give the all clear at 10:45. then there was a call for shots fired around 10:57. >> reporter: then at 12:28 this afternoon police were attempting to stop a man with a gun when gunshots were exchanged. >> subject leveled a weapon at a police officer who went to stop him saw him with a gun in his hand. there was brief foot pursuit. then shots were fired. >> reporter: no one was hurt and the man was taken into custody. police think the second, third and fourth incidents may be connected. from officials today a desperate plea for help in ending the onslaught of violence. >> it's more important than ever that the people of chester come together to help us end

russian interference in the u.s. elections contained "nothing concrete, only assumptions." when asked about the fingerprint ip addresses allegedly belonging to russian hackers putin said those could have easily been rigged and couldn't stand as credible evidence. putin also called the idea of any collusion between the two countries "some sort of hysteria." >> eyewitnesses say man armed with an assault rifle and gasoline barged into a casino at resorts world in manila the philippines when the robbery and attack were over, 35 people were dead. police say the gunman filled a backpack with more than $2 million worth of casino chips, then started setting the gaming tables on fire. the victims died of smoke inhalation not gunfire. in fact, many of them were found in a bathroom where they had gone to try to hide from the gunman. the suspect was later found dead at a neighboring hotel in an apparent suicide. authorities believe he was a robber not a terrorist.

the trump administration petitioned the supreme court to allow trump's travel ban to go into that effect. it blocks foreign nationals from six muslim majority countries from entering the u.s. a federal judge decided in march that part of the ban likely violates the u.s. constitution. the fourth circuit court of appeals affirmed that judge it's decision last month. in its filings the white house asked the nine u.s. supreme court justices to look at the ban and consider the legality of the executive order. in world news tonight with david muir much more on the philippines casino attack and the travel ban as well as the pushback against the u.s. leaving the paris climate accord. you can watch all of that following "action news" at 6:00ly. >> back here a south jersey teenager is behind bars tonight accused of murdering a woman in hamilton last weekend. 18-year-old josé garcia was identified through surveillance video. authorities say he stabbed 48-year-old brenda garzio behind the 900 block of south broad street last sunday evening.

officers rushed to the area after receiving calls about screaming and found her body. the motive for the crime is still unclear. garcia is now charged with murder. a new castle man was arrested on weapons and drug charges after parole officers conducted a probation check at his home. the officers went to check on 60-year-old earnest anderson at his home in the unit block of dallas road. investigators say they found a semi automatic gun with more than 70 rounds of ammunition as well as marijuana cocaine and drug packaging materials. he is free tonight on $10,000 bail. pap state police say a package containing illegal drugs may have been mailed to a delaware county catholic church. staff at saint cornelius parish in chadds ford say they opened mail addressed to monsignor gregory palante. they contacted police when they discovered what they believed to be illegal drugs. investigators florida and to release -- plan to release their findings on monday.
