>> a pleasant good morning to you, 7:00 a.m., saturday, june 3. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." some breaking news. police know who they are looking for in the vicious attack on philadelphia city councilman this week. a man was shot while sitting on his front porch and right now police are searching for the suspect. a new place to call home arc bucks county family is handed the keys from habitat to humanity. those stories, but first, outside we go, you have an umbrella out there. >> reporter: i know what you're thinking, don't worry i didn't mess up your weekend. we have showers right now, but it will clear up by afternoon and it will be a nice start to the weekend. what you're seeing in front of you, a lot of this when we first went on the air at 5:30 a.m. it

was in the lehigh valley only. you can see how quickly it's moving. the lehigh valley is drying out already, there's clowth -- clouds and a few spritzes and sprinkle, that's about it. we're seeing showers from the city westward to the pennsylvania turnpike to lancaster county. it's racing off to the east-northeast in the next couple of hours. most of what you see here should be gone. clouds will lift and we'll see sunshine. the day planner look for morning clouds and showers breaking for afternoon sunshine. by 11:00 a.m. we're holding on to the clouds, but the skies are brightening at that point, 72. 3:00 p.m., mostly sunny skies, 77 degrees, if you're heading to citizens bank park looks good for the phillies game taking on the giants. jersey shore same thing starting out with clouds, atlantic city south you'll probably stay dry or brief spritz or sprinkle, from ac north there could be a quick-hitting shower.

70 degrees by 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 67. as you can see we have a couple of showers out here right now, but the afternoon promises to be much, much better. tomorrow is just the opposite. we'll start out with sun and we look at the radars closely late in the day for more showers that will build in. i'll be back with those details and the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast in a few minutes, gray. >> 7 old -- 7:02 a.m., police mutt a name and face on the man who stabbed city councilman david oh. 24-year-old shawn yarbrea, he used to live on thomas right near councilman's oh's home. >> attempt to commit murder, robbery, simple assault, aggravated assault. recklessly endangering another person. he is a fugitive. we consider him to be armed and

extremely dangerous. >> at this point, police believe he maybe homeless or living from home to home. we're told the councilman is recovering at his house. more breaking news to tell you about this morning this time coming from bucks county, the pennsylvania turnpike remains closed in bensalem because of a fatal crash involving several vehicles on the westbound side of the turnpike. turnpike shut down between bensalem exit in and the willow grove exit on the westbound side of the turnpike. there's no word when it will be reopened. we'll stay on top of this all morning, stay with "action news" for delays and information. a gunman who shot and killed a 16-year-old boy as he walked to school any city of chester is still on the run. the victim was on his way to chester high when he got into an altercation and that's when he

was shot. the teenager was found dead at 11th and parker streets before 8:00 a.m. he was described as a good kid. his shooting was one of four incidents involving gunfire in the city of chester yesterday. officials have plans to step up their efforts to combat the violence. >> every police officer who is currently working from every division, inside personnel, records room they are out on the street. >> reporter: authorities do not believe the killing is connected to the other incidents. but they said it is possible ther incidents are related. police are questioning three persons of interest and have recovered two guns. police in southwest philadelphia are searching for the gunman who left a 24-year-old man critically injured. "action news" learned the victim was sitting on his the problem porch in the 2100 block of gold street when the gunman ran down

the street and started shooting. the victim was hit in the imroin imroin -- groin area. vladimir putin is blaming the democrats for the hysteria over the russian hacking over the presidential campaign. he insisted that the russian state never engaged in hacking. he said there's no proof that russia is responsible for any hacking. u.s. authorities said there's not only evidence, but proof of him trying to influence the white house. there's possible ties between trump campaign and russian government has taken over a special probe involving paul manaford who was forced to resign over questions of his business dealings in ukraine.

the day, they lower and thicken and eventually give way to showers. the showers threat is north of the pennsylvania turnpike during the afternoon hours. by evening as the warm front pushes through, all of a sudden we get into a squall line here, again a lot of this looks to be north of the pennsylvania turnpike. look at the oranges and the reds popping up here. drenching downpours and cloud to ground lightning strikes and gusty winds. the storm prediction center has not issued anything they are not too concerned about this, i don't like how the model is starting to portray this. this is late in the day after 7:00 p.m. or so. rainfall totals with the drenching downpours, again north of the p-a turnpike, what would have saw there is a good half inch to an inch of rain north of this line, the lehigh valley poconos, far western suburbs sunday night you'll see the down downpours. you'll see clouds and showers,

recovering. breaking news out of bucks county. pennsylvania turnpike is closed in bensalem because of a fatal crash involving several vehicles on the westbound side of the turnpike. turnpike, again, shut down between the bensalem exit and the willow grove exit on the westbound side of the turnpike. there's no word on when that section of the turnpike will reopen. stay with "action news" and 6abc.com for the latest information. 7:33 a.m., new information to tell you about this morning, medics rushed a south jersey firefighter to the hospital after he was hurt battling a fire this morning. the home caught fire on south 10th and if you -- furman stree. everyone got out okay. the injured firefighter was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. an outbreak of gun violence in chester claimed the life of a teenager who was walking to school.

[sirens] >> every police officer who is currently working from every division whether it be inside personnel, records room they are out on the streets. >> reporter: the sense of urgency was pap -- palpable for police in the city of chester. it began with 16-year-old football who was walking to school when he was gunned down around 10th and fulton. >> this is a horrendous loss of life. this is devastating that a 16-year-old child could be walking to his high school and be gunned down. the smoke had barely cleared at 9:18 another shooting at 9th and curlin. men in two cars shooting at each other. one drove himself to the hospital. all this happened near the high school which was on lockdown and then it happened again. >> unfortunately we were going
