about russian election hacking. >> 25-year-old with the unusual name of reality winner accused this morning of mailing a top secret nsa report to the intercept, a website that then published what appeared to be a redacted version of the document. winner worked at a government facility in augusta, georgia, where she held a high-level security clearance and describes awe russian military infiltrated a software company that dealt with voter-related information ahead of last year's presidential election. >> winner's arrest is the first criminal leak case under president trump who pledged to crack godown on leaks as have other republicans. >> when you have classified information, you cannot put that out there just because you think it would be a good idea. i want people in handcuffs and want to see people behind bars. >> so, apparently this contractor -- >> congressman jason chaffetz said stopping leaks is a bipartisan matter and the obama white house was tough on leakers taking at least eight to court. we'll have more on reality winner on "good morning america" but first we want to turn our

focus to london and the mayor of london overnight taking and firing back at president trump. >> in a new interview sadiq khan said it's time to call out the president and call off his upcoming state visit. this morning, the feud between president trump and london's mayor is escalating. >> the time to respond to tweets from donald trump i don't have time for. >> reporter: it happened when the president attacked him on twitter over what he said following saturday's terror attack. >> londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. no reason to be alarmed. one of the things the police and all of us need to do is make sure we're as safe as we can be. >> reporter: seems the president took those comments out of context writing, quote, at least seven dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and mayor of london says, there is no reason to be alarmed. the president later called the mayor's explanation a pathetic excuse. abc's jon karl pressed the white house about the comment. >> the president directly misrepresented what the mayor of london said.

>> i don't think that's actually true. i think the media wants 0 spin it that way. >> you think the mayor was saying there's no reason to be alarmed by an attack on his city. you think that's what he was saying. >> i think the point is there is a reason to unbe alarmed. >> reporter: they're trying to scrap an up coming state visit. >> i don't think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the usa in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for. >> some other british lawmakers are now calling on prime minister may to cancel the president's state visit. so far no comment about the feud or the visit from may. now, all of this as we're getting new details about the london terror attacks. let's start with the newly released security video that shows the heroic efforts by a restaurant manager and patrons trying to keep out one of the attackers who tried to get into the front door. >> police have publicly identified two of the three terrorists and revealed that they had been aware of one of them for several years. abc's lana zak has more.

>> reporter: authorities have known for years that 27-year-old khuram butt followed sharia law in britain. the suspected terrorist was even featured in a british tv documentary called "the jihadis next door". >> we always ask ourselves should we have known? could have have been prevented. >> reporter: they named two of the three suspected terrorists. butt, a british citizen born in pakistan and 36-year-old rachid redouane of libyan or moroccan descent both come from this east end neighborhood in london. on saturday night police believe they carried out their murderous intent and watch as a manager holes the door against one of the knife-wielding terrorists savi saving lives but others would be lost. among them, canadian chrissy archibald and james mcmullen. >> our pain will never diminish. it's important for us to carry on with our lives in direct opposition to those who would try to destroy us. >> reporter: that sentiment at the core of this nation's spirit

and echoed by london's mayor. >> as a proud and patriotic british muslim, i say this, you do not commit these disgusting acts in my name. >> reporter: british authorities confirm in addition to being aware of butt they had a tip from a neighbor to an anti-terror hotline about the threats he had been making in response, britain's top counter terrorism official says they need to radically change. >> british officials are tracking 3,000 would-be terrorists so they have kept their hands full. lana, thank you. breaking overnight isis is claiming one of its fighters is also responsible for a deadly hostage standoff in melbourne, australia. the gunman held a woman hostage and killed another man before dying in a shoot-out with police. three police officers were also wounded. the gunman had been acquitted seven years ago of plotting a suicide attack in sydney.

he was paroled in november for crimes unrelated to terrorism. back in this country president trump is accused of undercutting his own administration with a series of tweets about his stalled travel ban. the president now says his revised executive order limiting travel from six predominantly muslim countries is watered hi department saying it should have stuck with the original order. then you had kellyanne conway'ss comments won't help get votes for the ban in supreme court. but last night mr. trump was back on twitter and that's right he sa ban for certain dangerous countries, not some politically correct term that won'ts protect our people. and the white house in the meantime, has confirmed that the president will not use executive privilege to try to block former fbi director james comey from testifying before congress on thursday. comey is expected his private conversations with the president. lawmakers want to know ifpresid

newman was fired from the company which makes awnings for rvs and campers in april of this year. he was arrested in 2014 however after an altercation with another employee but was never charged. bill cosby is back in court for day two of his sexual assault trial. the comedian once known as america's dpad is charged with drugging and assaulting a woman 13 years ago at his home in pennsylvania. during opening arguments the prosecutor urged jurors to focus on the man, not the fictional characters he's created. cosby entered the courtroom monday with one of his tv daughters by his side. >> i'm showing up in a manner that if it was reversed i would want someone to show up for me. >> cosby's attorney asked jurors to view him as a flawed man not a fallen celebrity. dozens of women have accused the comedian of sexual assault but this is the only criminal case against him. well, criminal charges will now be filed against a white las vegas police officer in the death of an unarmed black man. kenneth lopera is expected to

face manslaughter charges after he fired a taser at tashi brown and punching him and putting him in a choke hold during last month's incident. yesterday brown's death was ruled a homicide and he is free on bail. two men were charged in that deadly oakland warehouse fire. the prosecutor says that ghost ship warehouse founder derick almena and his associate max harris knowingly created a firetrap. the prosecutor says it was illegal for them to use a warehouse for music events and other social gatherings. 36 people died in the fire in december. we're seeing stunning new images of the little boy who became a symbol of the suffering in aleppo. you might remember seeing him bloodied and dusty in an ambulance after a devastating air strike. he looked quite different in an interview by a pro-government channel in syria. there he is all cleaned up and seemingly in good health. his family is still in aleppo. this is the first time he had appeared public since he was

harvard crimson" reports a group of ten students accepted to the class of 2021 and meeting on the college's official facebook page created an alternative page full of memes containing provocative and derogatory images and captions. the content too offensive to show with r-rated memes poking fun at topics like the holocaust, sexual assault and targeting ethnic groups. >> i think it was the appropriate response. harvard is a safe community for everybody and this kind of behavior has no place in our community. >> the students nowadays don't realize what they think is private will become public. >> reporter: admissions even posting on the class of 2021 facebook's group description that they have the right to withdraw an offer of admission if an admitted student engages in behavior that brings into question his or her honesty, maturity or moral character. adrienne bankert, abc news, cambridge, massachusetts. a new study fine babies

sleep longer in their own rooms and looked at a 4-month-old baby sleeping by them alfs after 45 minces more of uninterrupted sleep and found nine months they sleep uninterrupted for 40 minces longer and 20 minutes longer overall. the study corrects a study by the american academy of pediatrics which recommends sharing a room for a year to reduce the risk of sids. check out this wild scene on a street in china. a small audi cuts off a dump truck causing both to lose control and the truck tips over, buries the audi in gravel and the truck falls onto the car. all of this happened right behind a few workers who then helped the driver get out of his vehicle, believe it or not, everyone got out of this one okay. apple is hoping not only to catch up on consumer electronics but instead to once again take the lead. >> its new smart speaker, the home pod is a voice activated device that uses siri. besides planning music it will control other devices in your

home but it'll cost almost twice as much as amazon's echo. apple also announced major updates to all its macbook laptop, faster, brighter and have more memory as we as storage. apple's updating all of its operating systems, a new feature says do not decision turn while driving and will block almost all notifications while you're moving. it can respond automatically saying you're busy driving and you'll reply later. >> that's nice. all right, in sports now, the nashville predators broken 1-1 tie in the stanley cup final in game four last night against pittsburgh, nashville went on to a 4-1 win to even up the series at two games apiece. the series, though, moves back to pennsylvania thursday night for game five. sir charles liking it. oklahoma beat florida 7-5 in game one of the women's college world series. the game took 17 innings. that's the longest game ever in the women's college world series. almost 5 1/2 hours.
