good afternoon sara is off and the big story on "action news" is breaking news from the city's point breeze section. police say a man was shot and killed by the person trying to repossess his car. it happened at 18th and dickinson streets bob brooks is live with the details. >> you had a repo man with a gun and a man who didn't want his car towed. and that man has been shotted. this is the scene at 18th and dickinson. you see all kinds of police officers out here. what we have had confirmed by police. you see the repossession the pickup truck came to the scene not long ago to toe the main evan behind it. the woman was inside of the van and got out and started to yell at the repossession guy and an argument happened and the

woman's boyfriend was called and he showed up here to the scene and he was armed and there was an exchange of gun fire and we hear that 19 shell casings have been found at the scene and at one point the boyfriend that came here to the scene started to pistol whip the repossession man. then by the repossession man's account. he heard glass shattering he assumed he was being fired at and that is when he started to shoot at that boyfriend that showed up to the scene. again, that man shot in the chest and the arm and he was rushed to the hospital but has since been pronounced deadism want to bring another live look out to the scene. this is 18th and dickinson. we got here to the scene but limited details. both guns are recovered and i can tell that you. the repo guy is cooperating with the investigation and a dog in the area has been shot as well.

a philadelphia police officer that left a man dead. the police commissioner says that the officer shot the man in the back while he was running away. katherine scott is here with the latest. >> reporter: police do have surveillance video of what they believe is the final part of that incident. the man being shot by an officer as he is running away but right now police are looking for more cameras and more angles trying to glean more details about what happened beforehand finance that final shot followed by the officer followed department protocol. >> emotions ran high in hunting park last night. a fatal police involved shooting at 6:40 p.m. on the 4200 block of whitaker. >> he didn't bother nobody. >> he is your grandson ma'am respect yes. >> a gun on the ground and a dirt bike nearby.

>> he spot aid man recklessly riding his dirt bike, he initially stopped him to drive more safely and that the man ignored the officer and began walking away. >> he grabs the man by the waistline and feel a handgun, a violent struggle followed. and a witness corroborated the account that the police officer told him not to take out his gun. >> it was fully loaded and he pulled away from the officer be that is when the officer initially fired twice and police believe the man was hit then and then he started to run away and surveillance video shows as he rounded the corner the officer fired a third shot striking him. there is no question from the witne witness's standpoint that the officer had a right to show but we don't know about the other

round fired. >> the man that died was in his 30s and that he was known to police, as for the officer, he is taken off the street while the investigation continues, that is department protocol. >> katherine thank you. we learned more information about a fire that consumed a home saturday night here in falls county. that 33-year-old abraham cana threw a fire work into the carport of a home on the 500 block of stevens road and it started a fire. and four teenagers are facing charges as well. the police say that the five stole fire works from the food market earlier that evening and as they were walking home from the store they started to light off the fireworks. >> he did not intend to start the fire at the house but still that is what happened. what do you think is going to happen when you throw something like this at someone's house.

upper 70s for allentown and coast in cape may 73 and beach haven 68. >> here is satellite 6 along with action radar we have the coastal low and a westerly win and because of that temperatures are responding as you get the westerly wind down sloping east of the appalachians, it compresses the air and warms it as the surface. for that matter as we get into the first half of the weekend tomorrow. the heat will start to build, high temperatures today into tomorrow will be into the 80s and the humidity will stay in check but we have this ridge of high pressure that will slowly be working its way eastward as we get into the second half of our weekend and into early next week. so a cooker is coming starting sunday and lasting through tuesday, dangerous heat on the way, mid-90s likely and the record highs are possible as well. increasingly humid conditions across the region. and something to keep in mind yesterday a high of just 72 in
