couple of weeks, people were getting upset with that. this is your spot, if you want relief from the heat head to the jersey shore, a nice sea breeze kicks in each day over the weekend and monday and tuesday, as well, that will knock the temperatures down. mid 90s in the city, around 80 for the jersey shore. let's look at the numbers this morning, 65 in philadelphia. allentown, 62. poconos, 61 in millville. cape may, 66. brigantine, 66. satellite and radar we're starting out with clear conditions you can see there's not much going on over new jersey and southeastern pennsylvania, if you look a little farther to the west, right in the center of the screen we have clouds and showers that's a small disturbance pushing through the northern portions of pennsylvania this morning. a couple of showers near kutztown and leesport, all this moving due east encountering dry air over top of us right now. a lot of this will fizzle out. we'll see clouds and maybe a

of their officer. david jones of germantown was shot in the back at hunting park and whitiker avenues on thursday. the officer said jones was stopped for driving a motorbike recklessly. jones ignored the officer and he grabbed jones. >> it was a violent encounter, initially. this individual pulls a 9-millimeter out which was fully loaded. the officer and witness warned jones not to pull out the gun, the officer fired hitting him, he began moving away with his back to the officer, that's when the officer shot him again. commissioner ross said jones never fired a shot. a witness said jones never said a word. department policy allows the police to shoot a suspect. commissioner ross hopes the videos provide more context

about the entire incident. philadelphia police officer williams has been arrested for an incident at a bar while she was off duty. investigators say she pointed a gun at made threats during a confrontation in january on the 4800 block of north broad street. 27-year-old williams, turned herself into authorities yesterday, she has been with the department for seven years. now to the showdown playing out in washington, d.c., president donald trump said he is willing to testify under oath about his conversations he had with the fbi director james comey. the president dodged questions about whether their private exchanges were taped. the house intelligent committee is giving the president's legal team two weeks to handle over any recorded conversation also. the senate judiciary

committee is asking for memos that comey gave to his friend, comey said the memos shed light oned private talks with president donald trump. he turned it over to a professor so he would share it with a reporter, president trump's legal team is calling for an investigation into comey. >> the defense will begin its case in the bill cosby sexual assault trial on monday, the prosecution rested yesterday. the jury heard more experts -- exerptss. he testified that he stopped using quaahludes. despite his states he would not take the stand in his own defense, a spokesperson said this is a possibility. >> if there's a trial and we have to come up with our counter moves and plan, as well.

if he does testify he is going to be subject to cross examination, a long cross examination, a cross examination which could potentially open the door to other accusers. >> the trial could wrap up next week, cosby faces up to ten years in prison if he is acquitted. a major reoh, oh, if he is convicted. a green park deck between walnut and chestnut streets would be built over i-95. the estimated cost, $225 million. the william penn foundation is putting up money for the project paying for the landscaping on the deck. >> that noise from so-called rumble strips in mullica

township, gloucester county is the subject of a debate. in the last few months, he has been rattled by what he said is an intolerable racket. the department of transportation installed the rumble strips on route 77, 20 feet from his door. >> you can hear it in the house, it shakes the house. >> reporter: a study from the department of transportation found center line rumble strips can reduce accidents by 45%. the study suggests reducing the noise is possible by varying the design. delaware state fair is holding their annual job fair. they are looking to fill security and ticket scanners and maintenance positions for the fair. applicants must be 16 years old.

temperatures this afternoon. all that changes starting on sunday. let's take a look at the radars here, we'll get a closeup shot of storm tracker 6 live. we have showers approaching from the northwest. this is the western portions of berks county and lancaster county, lehigh valley over my shoulder. this is mainly north-central pennsylvania. every now and then we see a steadier shower as indicated by the yellows. all this is racing off to the east, it should be over the poconos in the next hour, hour and a half. it is encountering drier air as it pushes into the delaware and the lehigh valleys it will fizzle out before it reaches the ground. 80 degrees, the normal 81. we started out at 65. the normal low, 62. temperatures, 61 in pottstown. bethlehem, 63. warminster, 64. center city, checking in at 65.

scene. more breaking news to tell you about this morning, a driver is charged with dui after hitting a drexel university student. the injured woman is in the hospital this morning with critical condition. she was hit by a lexus overnight as she tried to cross 38th and market in university city. excuse me, the car we are told stopped, the driver was taken away in handcuffs. police say the student was walking against the red light at the time that she was hit. happening this morning, philadelphia police are trying to determine if charges will be filed against a repo man involved in a shooting that left another man dead. shots were fired at 18th and dickenson in the point breeze section. a woman began to argue with a tow truck driver who was trying to repossess her minivan. she called her boyfriend, he was armed with a gun.

the boyfriend pistol whipped the driver, the confrontation accelerated, the tow truck pulled out a gun and killed the boyfriend. >> it was like firecrackers, people screaming and running away from the scene. a dog was caught in the crossfire and died. the tow truck driver is claiming self-defense and is cooperating with police. this man chelsea outlaw of minquadale is charged with a shooting that send a 6-year-old boy to the hospital. this man opened fire tuesday afternoon at the corner of 6th and spruce streets in wilmington. deshawn banner, the child was hit in the head and is in critical condition at a. i. do dupont hospital. he faces several charges.

city will honor joyce craig today with a mural. she died december 9, 2014. the first woman firefighter to die in the line of duty in philadelphia. the mural will be placed at the lawncrest library on rising sun avenue. the mayor and fire commissioner will be at the unveiling today. president donald trump is firing back against james comey block buster testimony on capitol hill. he said the former fbi director is lying and said he is willing to testify under oath about their conversation. president trump made brief remarks in the rose garden yesterday. he accused of him lying during his sworn testimony to congress. the president said he never asked him for a loyalty pledge when he never pressured him to drop any investigation. president had this to say about the existence of tapes of their conversation. >> do tapes exist of your conversations with him.
