a fatal shooting by one of their officers. david jones of germantown was shot in the back at hunting park and whitiker avenues on thursday, the officer said jones was stopped for driving a motorbike recklessly. commissioner richard ross said jones ignored the officer and that's when he grabbed jones. >> it was a violent encounter initially. the individual pulls a nine millimeter out which was fully load. >> the commissioner said an officer and witness warned jones not to pull out the gun. the officer fired hitting jones, jones moved away with his back to the officer and that's when the officer shot him again. commissioner ross said jones never fired his shot. he never said a word, department policy allows police to shoot a fleeing suspect. jones' family said he was not angel, but he did not deserve to be shot in the back.

commissioner ross hopes the video provides more context about the entire incident. investigators say officer williams was arrest for pointing a gun and was involved in a confrontation. she turned he, -- herself in yesterday. president trump said he is willing to testify under oath about the conversation with james comey. the president godged questions whether -- dodged questions whether their private conversations were taped. the house intelligence committee has given the president two weeks to hand over the tapes if there are any. senate judiciary committee

is asking for the memo that comey gave to his friend a columbia law professor in his testimony on thursday. he said the memo sheds light on his private talk with the president. he turned it over to a professor so he would share it with a reporter. trump's legal team is calling for an investigation into comey. bill cosby begins his case monday. jury heard testimony. the 79-year-old detailed how he gave quaahludes to woman with whom he wanted to have sex. he stopped using that drug for that purpose. meanwhile, despite his public statements that he would not take the stand in his own defense, a spokesman said that it remains a possibility. >> you know this is a trial and we have to come up with our own

counter moves and plan, as well. >> reporter: if he does testify he is going to be subject to cross examination, a very long cross examination, a cross examination which could potentially open the door to other accusers. >> we're told the trial could wrap up next week. cosby faces up to ten years in prison if he is convicted. a major reconstruction project that will connect society hill to penns landing in philly is moving forward. governor wolf said the state and city are working together to pay for the project project. it calls for an 11-acre green park deck between walnut and chestnut streets. it will be built over top of i-95. the estimated cost is $225 million. the will yam penn foundation -- william penn foundation is putting up money fore the project paying for landscaping on the deck. delaware state fair is

shot and killed a man yesterday while trying to pick him up for a mental health issue. it trigd -- triggered a street protest. the man walk away to t store, ts opened fire after it was discoved carried two knives. the shooting comes weeks after a jury acquitted a tulsa poleghtee fatal shooting of an unarmed black man. we're learning aboutma sent and killed three co-workers at a pennsylvania supermarket. brandy stairs certainty that message -- sent a message to a woman. she reached out to stare when she saw the message, but the bloodshed was carried out.

crossfire and died. the tow truck driver is cooperating with police. this man, right here, chelsea outlaw from minquadale is in jail in connection with a shooting that sent a 6-year-old boy to the hospital in critical condition. he hoped fire at 6th and spruce streets in wilmington. the child who was hit was shot in the head. he remains in critical condition at ai dupont hospital. he faces first degree attempted murder. the city of philadelphia will honor a fallen firefighter lieutenant joyce craig with a mural. craig died battling a fire on december 9, 2014. she was the first woman firefighter to die in the line of duty in philadelphia. that mural will be placed at lawncrest library rising sun avenue. mayor kenny and the fire commissioner will be at the unveiling of the mural later this morning.

spring. here's a beautiful shot in cape may. this is the relief over the next few days, if you don't like the heat and humidity that will start moving in tomorrow and monday and tuesday, the escape is at the jersey shore where the sea breeze will keep you in the upper 70s low 80s through the duration of the heat wave. 66 in philadelphia. trenton, 65. brigantine, 66. cape may, 68. wilmington, 64. dover, 63. we have the slightest breeze out of the west/southwest 3 to 5 miles per hour. the reason why this is important, because a light breeze allows a sea breeze to kick in. these winds will strong out of the west at ten to 15 miles per hour. the sea breeze would never have a chance to kick in. because the winds were lighter you'll get the wind off water. that will cool the beaches down. satellite and radar showers pushing through the northern sections of the state of pennsylvania this morning. all this will fizzle out, looks

like we'll stay dry in the philadelphia area. just a couple of clouds maybe a spotty shower in the afternoon. maybe it's a 20, 25% chance. surface maps, the big players area of high pressure, heat-pump high, a bermuda high. once the winds hit the coast shifting out of the west/southwest the heat pours in here. temperatures in the upper 90s. 89 humidity levels fairly low, 6 to 65. by the time we get into monday and tuesday, it builds and builds and builds. monday and tuesday, high temperatures both days ranging between let's say 94 and 96. dewpoints at least in the 65 to 70-degree range. you combine the two, there's a little equation you do here you get a number feels-like temperatures the result would be anywhere from 98 to 100. i'm not sure what the heat advisory criteria is maybe a heat advisory issued monday and tuesday.
