richmond where a mother and her son were run down. the mother was killed. annie mccormick joins us live from the scene with details. annie? >> walter, three family members were standing on the sidewalk when an suv jumped the curb and plowed into them. two of them were hit, one killed. police remain on the scene. that silver suv according to police is the striking vehicle. it happened just before 9:00 tonight. a 39-year-old mother is dead and her nine-year-old son in critical condition. this is video of the driver taken into custody in hand hand. police believe he was on drugs and found evidence of that in the suv including needles. they went on to the sidewalk,
