within the last half hour the jury in the bill cosby sex assault trial says it is deadlocked. this is video of bill cosby leaving the courthouse just minutes after the jury spoke with the judge this morning. they told the jury to return with deliberations. they were working to come up with a verdict for 30 hours now. jeanette reyes is following the trial from the very beginning and joins us in montgomery county with the latest. >> reporter: well, interestingly enough this morning was very quiet and suddenly an hour ago we heard that the jury was being brought back into the courtroom. telling the judge just minutes ago we learn that they could not come to a unanimous decision on any of the three counts that cosby is charged with. the defense asked the judge to declare it a mistrial and he would not do that.

and told the jury it was their duty to try to come to a verdict. and go back and try to come up with a verdict. listen in. >> visibly tired and less cheerful than previous days, bill cosby arrived for yet another day of deliberations. a crowd of onlookers and fans and media were noticeably quieter as the famed comedian went through a familiar routine a walk of about 100 yards from his suv to the courthouse. the sequestered jury asked a total of six questions most around his civil deposition in which he admits to drugging his accuser andrea constand. after all the questions were heard twice, last night after taking their job for taking their job so seriously and noticed their obvious fatigue

and sent them to their hotels forest before another possibly long day. this morning curious crowds gathered and grew antsy and some we talked to long stopped guessing what the verdict could be and seriously questioned if there would be one. >> there is two sides to the story and they can't decide which one to go with. >> do you have a guess as to which way they may go? >> it's a hard verdict to reach. the guy is at the end of the his life and it's pretty much a life sentence. >> there is quite a bit going on right now, a live look at the steps of the courthouse you understand that bill cosby's spokesperson andrew wyatt is speaking to the media and cameras are rolling they consider this a win for now. they were eluding earlier and previous days that the jury may not be able to come to some sort

abc has more. >> reporter: this is the ballpark police swarmed when a gunman started to shoot at republican lawmaker as they prepared for a charity baseball game. despite the grim practice the game is still on tonight at national park. gunshots blaring non-stop at this alexandria ballpark wednesday morning just 8 miles from capitol hill. 26 republican members of congress practicing for a charity baseball game tush turning into the intended targets. >> i was just a sitting duck out there. >> i hit the first ground ball to steve and we heard this pow. the lone gunman sending a bullet into the hip of steve scalise critically wounding him. >> he is in some trouble and he is a great fighter and will be okay we hope. >> the house whip had two agents

that fired back at the shooter from behind an suv. both officers injured but saved many lives. the suspected shooter, 66-year-old james hodgkinson now dead. now fbi scouring his illinois home. he was in the area for a couple of months, living out of his van and had a long history of anti-trump and anti-republican rhetoric but didn't alarm those with him at the local y mexi ymca. >> a calm person and never talked politics i would not have suspected it would be him that did what happened. >> two others were wounded and today authorities are back out here at the ballpark analyzing the crime scene. in alexandria, virginia, stephanie ramos, channel 6 "action news." >> "action news" reporter wendy

saltzman will be in washington for the congressional baseball game for charity tonight. she will have live reports from the national park where the game will be played beginning at 4:00 this afternoon. the special council appointed to investigate possible russian meddling into the russian election is looking into whether or not president trump obstructed justice. robert mueller is looking at the interactions with fired fbi director james comey and trump's response to the russian investigation. he is expected to speak to the director of national intelligence and former nsa executive director. a spokesperson for to president trump's attorney says it's illegal and inexcusable. and a car smashed by a wrong way driver on sewell road in philadelphia summerton section.

police say that the car was parked with the two victims inside when it happened at 3:45 and the driver backed up and then took off. a 32-year-old won and 37-year-old man were taken to the hospital in critical condition. two drivers were hurt when their wars collided at roosevelt boulevard and cotman avenue. a suv and sedan crashed into one another and the force of the collision caused the sedan to crash into a light hole. no word on what caused this accident. turning to accuweather now we are enjoying another nice day with a break from the humidity. we are taking a live look outside at cape may via sky 6 hd, and the sun is shining brightly and few clouds at all. enjoy for now temperatures will be on the rise yet again. david murphy joins us with the accuweather forecast. >> the other side of the story, i wish i didn't have to tell. lets concentrate on today.

at 6abc.com. in london police say the death toll that happened at an apartment complex there has increased to 17 people and they expect more. dogs will be used to search the rubble once it's secure. experts say that the blaze was highly unusual because of the speed in which flamed engulfed the tower. we are learning more about the gunman in that deadly shooting at an ups facility in san francisco. that 38-year-old jimmy lamb who opened fire and killed three co-workers and then turned the gun on himself and filed grievances for working overtime and asked to be relieved of working extra hours and specifically other drivers, two others were wounded during the attack.

fuel gushes from the wing of an airplane and on to the runway of the airport the start of an italian vacation for many people. the passenger took this video from his seat on board an american airline flight, you see the fuel pouring out of the wing and on to the ground below. it's not sure what caused the leak and the passengers were put up in a hotel and rebooked.

increasing clouds tonight and 64 and a late spotty shower around and tomorrow is a transition day a warm front starts to come at us and increases the cloud cover and probably triggers a shower or two and i can see the humidity levels starting to rise as the front pushes through and behind it hazy, hot and humid conditions building back in gradually owe through the weekend. in the morning when you wake up we may have something to show you here on stormtracker 6 live double scan it looks like the better chance is in the afternoon and mixing in with showers a couple of thunderstorms this latest model run is active with downpours around the region and some other model runs not so much. and tomorrow evening some of this going on. i can't vouch for the exact placement that changes with each model run and you get the idea. tomorrow during the day and even at night. we could at least at times have showers around. the exclusive accuweather
