it's june 21st, time for great viral videos "right this minute." rescuers rappel down a cliff to reach a stranded hiker. how a golden retriever got stuck in a hillside. >> needs to be retrieved. the bride's about to toss the bouquet, but then -- >> she walks over to one of her ladies. >> see why that is only the first surprise. one idea can change the world. let it be yours. >> nat geeo is chasing some geniuses. >> there are original thinkers around the world just waiting to be tapped. >> we've got christian, oli, charity, nick, and gayle breaking down the best on the web including a woman on a

mission while her husband's at work. >> she decides it's time for a change. >> the time she finally takes matters into her own hands. red rock set in ireland. the irish coast guard has been called in. but they're not doing a rescue in the water. they've got their climbing gear. somebody's got to climb down 15 feet. >> doesn't sound like much. >> it is if you don't have two arms, two legs, and aposable thumbs. that's marley. when you first look at marley, you're thinking it's a golden retriever. is he playing hide and seek? >> he needs to be retrieved. that's the issue. >> marley was walking on that cliff with his owner. and he slipped and fell. they had to be called out. now the rescuer is giving him some water. they just lower marley down to the beach which is where i think marley really wanted to go. but here he is being reunited with his owner. i still think it was a game of hide and seek he didn't clear
2:32 pm
with mom yet. >> you can't be mad at that face though. >> well, what's the bill for the rescue? is the owner on the hook for this or are we going to be like, oops, my bad. >> there's no indication they're going to charge the owner for the rescue. maybe it's good training for them. >> how you doing? you ready to get out of here? thieves are everywhere and it seems that nothing is off limits. if it ain't nailed down, they're going to take it. this guy at a pet store in mexico sticking his hand in the fix tank here when he finally grabs one. sticks it in his pocket. he's not done. now he sees another fish in a different tank he's got his eye on. >> no. >> oh, yeah. grabs a net this time. scoops the fish up. >> he's going to kill these things. >> sticks that fish in his pocket as well. and strolls on outside. that's where he cameras picked him up out there he's smart
2:33 pm
enough to know that fish need water. grabs a little container. scoops up water out of that outside pond area there. i'm not sure how these fish would really survive. they're delicate creatures to just throw them in your pocket and dump them into water that might be a different temperature, different ph balance. who knows if he picked up salt water fish or not. the guy's got fish for brain. especially when you find out that the store was able to get the fish back after a witness tipped them off. we're going to move to china for another disheartening video. folks are in the park feeding the pigeons. when a woman notices that little bird. grabs it and just trots off into the distance. >> where's she going with the bird under her arm? >> i'm just going to fill in a few other details and you guys can fill in the blanks. reports say police are familiar with this woman. they know her to be a local homeless woman. they've chased her out of the park before and you figure out

2:35 pm
and it looks like the bride and groom and the rest of the people in the party are all about this. she says yes and they seal the deal with a kiss. and i'm sure their wedding will be just as fun as this reception looks. now we head on over here with adam and sheila. now, that's sheila in the passenger seat. and that's one of their friends. if you'll notice, adam set all of this up to have their friends and family line the street with signs. apparently they met at a fourth of july barbecue a few years prior. even though it's june, this is the same person who drove sheila to the barbecue, the same street. >> that's clever. >> she's overwhelmed. as they get to the last house, their parents has the sign. they head to the back yard where she met her man.
2:36 pm

they essentially want to crowd source solutions from the geniuses out there. if you're looking for an example of what i'm talking about, take this one. this guy keenan, he identified a supply chain problem in africa specifically for medical supplies. ten months of rain a year and they're dirt roads. basically everything is getting literally stuck in the mud. they came up with a pretty cool idea. >> we get an order from a doctor by text. we put it into the zip. essentially you're firing it. >> oh, my gosh. it'll fly automatically out to the site. we'll send a text the package is about to arrive. and then fly back. >> wow. >> people are sort of seeing problems and it takes that interesting brain to come out with an interesting solution. people at home are interested in this. they should be. not only can you help the world
2:38 pm
but they'll also award $25,000 to the winner in each category. >> this is inspiring. >> live via skype we have friend of the show jason. what was the genesis of this genius idea? >> it is inspired by the new scripted series that nat geo has called "genius" about the life of albert einstein. they decided to create this campaign as an offshoot of the series. and the idea is there are counterintuitive thinkers, original thinkers around the world just waiting to be tapped. then let's invite people to make a one-minute video of how they would solve one of the issues. and then submit it. we have a website. i believe it's natgeochasinggenius.com is the website. we'd love to get people submitting for july 31st. >> on it. >> thank you, guys.
