so. >> to developing news out of new jersey where where the government is now shut down. chris christie has called for a special session of the state legislature to begin in less than two hours after an agreement was not reached on the state budget. lawmakers had until midnight to reach a deal. no deal. this is the first time it happened under governor chris christie. he tweeted i have issued an executive order to maintain the protection, safety and well-being of the people of new jersey. christy said he will not sign off on the state budget unless democrats agree to the plan to take surplus funds from horizon blue cross and blue shield anticipate use them for drug treatment programs. 89 leader of the democrats said he cannot do that because it's bad for policy holders.

the governor tweeted the unnecessarily stalled budget process is inconveniencing everyone living in and visiting our state. >> he is holding the budget ransom with the 24 members that abstained and those are the members that shut down the government at this point in time. >> governor chris christie called the legislature into a special session at 11:00 a.m., the shut down could have an impact on your holiday plans. we'll explain more on how that happens at 9 democrats want to raise in connection with taxes in delaware, to cover 385 million-dollar short fall, but republicans say they won't

do it without imposing spending limits. we have breaking news this morning [shots fired] >> people were forced to run for cover when shots broke out inside a nightclub in little rock, arkansas. 17 people were shot and more injured when they were trampled when they tried to escape. one person was in critical, but upgraded to stable. there was no immediate information about a suspect or any arrests. a 22-year-old man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times in the stomach in southwest philadelphia around 11:15 p.m. on lion street. the victim was rushed to penn presbyterian hospital in critical condition. so far there's no word on a motive. in the city's overbrook section, a 19-year-old is in critical condition this morning after an attempted robbery that

police say led to a shooting. police tell "action news" the crim was approached by an -- the victim was approached by an armed suspect on 7500 block of wood crest avenue around midnight. the gunman took off. the manhunt continues for the person who shopt -- shot a teenage girl in the head on a chester county road in a case of road rage. this is the man police are looking for. police say he was driving a faded red pickup truck at the time of the incident. the family and friends of bianca roberson are mourning the loss of a teen with a bright future. jeff chirico has more from westtown. ♪ >> reporter: with candles in hand dozens gathered for a vigil for bianca roberson. hugs and tears and friends and family shared about the promising life cut short.

>> she was a great human being and what happened is unspeakable. >> reporter: family members watched from the balcony from the home where they got the news wednesday. bianca roberson was killed a victim of apparent road rage. >> it's surreal. i can't pick up the phone and call her and text her and come over and see her. >> i expected so much greatness in her. i'm trying to so hard not to be angry. >> reporter: bianca roberson's mother spoke for the first time. >> i don't know who did this, i don't know who stole my baby from me, i don't know why they would want to steal my baby from me. i want to thank everyone, family, friends, strangers, neighbors. >> reporter: police released a sketch of the suspect he allegedly shot bianca roberson as they tried to merge into the same lane on the 100 bypass. bianca roberson's car crashed into the tree, blurry images

picking her up on june 9th. he visited online forums, abduction 101 and perfect abduction fantasy and planning a kidnapping. overnight nevada became the 5th state in the country to legalize marijuana. they can by up to an ounce of pot. 60% of the sales are expected to come from tourists. it's illegal to light up in public places, that includes casinos, bars and passion. there's a 10% tax on marijuana, it is expected to bring in $60 million over the next two years. meanwhile, holiday festivities are in full swing in the birth place of independence.

see heat and humidity. today we'll see clouds out there, but tomorrow, monday, tuesday, look very, very nice, lots of sunshine and clouds mixed in, high temperatures. unfortunately that's the hand we've been dealt this morning, a lot of cloud cover out there. spritzes and sprinkles across the area. but no steady rain falling at this point. most of the activity up to the northwest across upstate new york and western portions of pennsylvania. a couple of clouds across the delaware and the lehigh valleys, more stuff off the coast of the carolinas. there's a cold front approaching from the west, the air is soupy and tropical unstable. as the front interacts with the soupy air we could get a line of thunderstorms developing of hot and humid, highs near 90. showers and storms develop between the hours of 4 and 7:00 p.m. or the main events pulls through here.

jersey state history that the government has been shut down. the first in 2006 under jon correspond seen. house speaker -- corzine. house speaker refused to vote on the bill that would give the state the power to dip into the surplus of horizon blue cross and blue shield for drug addiction programs. >> i urge the members that support this budget will come and vote for the budget because it's a good bucket and a budget that needs to the get on the governor's desk. it's going to impact residents of the state of new jersey. >> the shut down means that nonessential services will be closed. prisons, state police and casinos in atlantic city remain open. if you have plans in the garden state this holiday weekend, first all 42 state parks are closed that includes liberty state park in the shaddow of the

statue of liberty. and state beaches. you can find a list at 6abc.com. you should know if this continues through monday there will be no courts and you will not be able to renew your drivers license. in pennsylvania a last-minute spending bill is awaiting governor wolf's anything this morning. it pasted the house and senate by wide bipartisan majority. it is far from perfect. there's still a 2 billion-dollar short fall. lawmakers have to come back next week to debate other options. governor wolf said he will not hand over voting information as part of an investigation into alleged voter fraud in last year's election. the panel is looking for ways to suppress the vote. governor wolfed said the state cannot cooperate with the panel,

but they can purchase the information available to the public. new this morning it was a busy night for firefighters in pennsauken, camden county. they bathed a fire that damaged a home on horner avenue. it took firefighters 30 minutes to get control of the flames. nobody was inside the home and investigators are trying to determine just how the fire started. water crews are on the scene of a water main break in west philadelphia. around 6:00 water was pouring on the 6000 block of haverford avenue. thousands of gallons of water spilled on the street and caused part of the road to buckle in front of the 19th street police district. no word on when the street will will reopen. we're learning details about the doctor that went on a shooting rampage in the bronx in new york city killing one

person. henry bello threatened to kill his colleagues after being forced to resign amid sexual harassment allegations two years ago. investigators are trying to find out why went back to the hospital and shot one woman and injuries 6 others. nurse rs ran into action to help save lives. >> they secured family members that were visiting they brought them into the bathroom and closed shower curtins and stayed there until all was clear. heroism in the face of at terrifying moments. the doctor that was killed did not know bello, the other are expected to survive. faa is trying to figure out what caused a fiery plane crash on one of the country's busiest highways south of los angeles, the pilot declared an emergency

shortly taking off from john wayne airport. he called saying he had engine failure. the pilot and his fiance were on board. they were pulled from the crash by an off duty firefighter. president trump said to repeal the affordable act and replace it later. he said if lawmakers were unable to pass the bill repeal it and replace it at a later date. mitch mcconnell said while the current healthcare bill was challenging, he had no interest in the president's strategy. young philadelphians mark the next chapter in their future. they are determined to make their mark on the city in an

this front slides in in time for the 4th and knocks the humidity levels back down again. fourth of july could be the nicest day in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. future tracker 6 looking at a mostly cloudy sky through late morning. one or two pop-up showers or thunderstorms possible, it's kind of hard to pinpoint where they are going to form. let's say everybody fair game during the late morning hours into the first part of the afternoon. lunchtime, peeks of sun and thunderstorms around. we get into the afternoon hours here comes the line developing to the west and marching through philadelphia at 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. once it approaches the coast the air is more stable and the whole line disappearance. one or two showers survive, but we're not looking at a strong line of thunderstorms for the jersey shore. here's what we're expecting, showers and thunderstorms late in the day, 4 to 7:00 p.m.
