bloomquist is off. in the news residents in wilmington delaware were brought to the street by the sound of grinding metal and shattering glass overnight. and tonight is the night where president trump has his meeting with vladimir putin. and it's a dreary end to the work week. the rain was really coming down a short time ago and it's wet and cloudy out there now it's a different story for the weekend. meteorologist, melissa magee, is here with the first check of the forecast. >> happy friday. >> happy friday to you. as you take a look outside sky 6 hd is out there a mostly cloudy skies and moisture is starting to move off to the south and east and you can see it on stormtracker 6 live double scan radar there in south jersey, we'll go in tighter to get a closer view of what we are looking at. see the showers moving into south jersey for southern

burlington county. and atlantic city and cumberland counties as well. we'll track the moisture moving to the east this afternoon. as far as the temperatures are concerned it's warm and very humid. philadelphia 73 and 71 in trenton and allentown 76 and along the beach, beach haven 76 degrees and cape may 77. we'll push in tighter, on satellite 6 along with action radar we look at the dew point numbers they are in the upper 60s and lower 70s. any time have you dew points that high it's quite warm and quite oppressive and uncomfortable outside. philadelphia 69 dew point and 67 in allentown and few points in cape may are in the lower 70s. here is satellite 6 along with action radar we are drying quiet right now in the city and points north and west. and tracking showers down in

sound track from the transformers movies. >> we heard revving of an engine and screeching of cars. >> when calvin went out side this is what he saw. dozens is vehicles belonging to neighbors were smashed including his yucon. and this ford f-150 was ramming cars and when the police arrived the male driver was hitting official cars. >> he got out of the cars he was indifferent to what had happened and did not acknowledge the vehicles, he said someone was after him and he was drying to get away. he is identified as 23-year-old nicholas massy and he is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving. and one car was this $100,000 maserati. the owner says it was totalled.

police have toed the damaged vehicles away. police tell me at this hour that massy is issued an array of charges for his conduct last night and he is released nobody is reported injured here. live in the brandywine section of wilmington, delaware, channel 6 "action news." >> all right vernon, thank you. officials are working to fine out what killed a person found lying along elkton road in newark this morning. a person spotted the body and called police. the decease person is identified only as a male. today an 18-year-old girl shot and killed in the suspected case of road rage is laid to rest. services for bianca roberson are being held. she is a graduate of ruxton high school and set to attend

u.s. mint in philadelphia is on behind straight he leave after a noose was found on the chair of an african-american colleague. according to the mint workers union the employee created the noose with rope that is used to seal coined bags. it shows the employee walk across the factory floor with the noose in his hand on june 28th. they have launched an internal investigation after receiving complaints from african-american workers. he is only identified as a white man. the man is charged after his 9-year-old baby was found with a hype determinic needle in her leg. 35-year-old steven welsh is charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child and endangering another person. officers were called to green lane in the city's manayunk section of philadelphia.

medics gave the child a dose of the reversal drug known as narcan to revive her and she was taken to chestnut hill hospital where she is in critical condition. >> an underground fire knocked out gas service to several dozen customers in gladwyne, montgomery county. the blaze broke out near conshohocken state road and officials tell "action news" that the fire was sparked by a tree branch that fell on wires and that spread to a gas line that when underground. no injuries were reported and peco says that one point gas service was knocked out to 120 customers in the area and utility crews have restored power for most of those customers. we have to alert septa rail users to the fare validation proceed airs. beginning monday july 10th, passengers that travel at temple and jefferson and 30th street

typhoon earlier in the week. and a search for survivors going on following an apartment building collapse in italy. brick by brick police are looking for eight people believed to be buried in the rubble. witnesses say they did not hear an explosion at the time of the collapse. a train was passing by but too soon to say what caused the collapse. an airline passenger is in court after assaulting an attendant. they noticed the male passenger pacing and then made a move toward an exit door in first class. and the flight attendant approaching the man and got punched by him and other passengers retrained him. >> we broke bottles of his head and he threw me like a rag doll. >> we got a code 3 for a serious

fight. the flight attend and and another passenger were taken to the hospital and the fbi is now handling the incident we'll have more on the scare in the sky and a second incident coming up in the next half hour. a photo of a baby with what looks to be a pierced dimple is sparking debate on social media. anita posted this photo of her 6-month-old daughter on facebook, at first glance it looks like she has a diamond pierced to one of her dimples but it's pasted on the photo and not real. it has been shared 13,000 times on facebook and she says she has received death messages. and she is a strong advocate against piercing children and was meant to spark discussion on the topic. >> check out this unusual video of a bear that broke into a

meteorologist, melissa magee is at the shore eating ribs. a big barbecue championship at the shore this weekend. >> that is right all weekend. if you are at the shore there are a couple of showers we are tracking, here is stormtracker 6 live double scan you can see the showers are pressing out of philadelphia, but they are moving down into south jersey, we'll go in tighter and you can see the rain there from surf city all the way down to hammonton and mays landing and if you travel along the the garden state parkway same thing into atlantic city. and heavier pockets of rain in millville and as you get closer to the coast along route 49, we are tracking the moisture throughout the early afternoon hours and we'll get a break and there could be pop-ups as we get into our friday evening. we'll show you the picture outside sky 6 hd we are down the shore in cape may, well showers haven't reached the shore just yet folks are enjoying a beach

day mostly cloudy skies and dew points on the high side and the umbrellas are up and people are out and about. 73 degrees in philadelphia. north and west in allentown 76 and 78 in lancaster, poconos 73 degrees. at the coast in cape may 79 and dover in the upper 70s. but the dew point numbers are in the 70s. so it's quite uncomfortable and very oppressive air mass overhead. a 69 degree dew point in the city 70 in wilmington and 79 degree dew point in dover. it's down right uncomfortable and more of a tropical air mass. here is satellite 6 along with action radar we have showers overhead now press into south jersey and these move off to the west and another line of activity off western pennsylvania and this works its way eastward into the early evening hours and could pop off a pop-up shower and a rumble of

thunder. a damp start to our friday and clouds and sun and late day breaks of sun and high temperature of 85 degrees, overnight tonight an evening shower is likely and either wise partly cloudy and 73 in philadelphia for the overnight low with the westerly winds here is future tracker 6 later on today at success we have the showers along the coast pressing out of the city and points to the north and west but as we get into the early evening hours, we track the line moving on through. a couple of showers will be overhead in allentown and into reading, by 9:00 if you are out on the town a couple of showers are likely and we get clearing and gradual improvement over the weekend. down the shore a few sunny breaks and high of 83 and saturday a land breeze with i westerly win today. high of 87 and sunny and pleasant on sunday and high of 81, in the poconos as we kick start or weekend today early rain and sun and high of 79, afternoon shower likely and 76

for the high and bright and pleasant on sunday with a high at 75, here is the exclusive accuweather forecast. a damp start today with late day breaks of sun and humidity is up there high of 85 and warm and turning more humid on saturday and a high of 88 and thundershower likely tomorrow but the pick of the weekend is sunday, a nice day sunny and 85. and on monday it looks like we could find clouds and sunshine but a nice day a high temperature of 88, sun sun to clouds and high up to 90 degrees, 85 on wednesday and 88 as we get into next thursday rick. we start off kind of crumby but it gets better into the weekend. nice to start out crumby. but a light at the end of the tunnel. >> and a large youth soccer team
