>> good morning it is 6:00 a.m., saturday, july 8. gray is off, i'm nydia han. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." two teens are among the wounded in a triple shooting in philadelphia overnight. a floor collapses leaving a mother and four children stranded in a feltonville home. a witness describes the scene as neighbors answer the call for help. the rain is gone, replaced with a beautiful, warm, summer-like day. meteorologist chris sowers is here with all the accuweather details. can't say enough about it. >> reporter: i was going to say you summed it all up there. it's a nice morning, decent amount of sunshine, it's sticky

with the dewpoints up to 60 and 70s. humidity will drop down in the afternoon, low 60s today and low 50s tomorrow. forecast for today, with an approaching cold front, the generally idea is for a warm day, high temperatures in the upper 80s close to 90 decreases, but the humidity will be sliced in half this afternoon. 89 degrees in philadelphia. millville, 90. dover, 91. allentown, 87 degrees, toms river, 88 on the boards in atlantic city, 86 and lancaster 87. going hour by hour what we are expecting. look for a mix of sun and clouds in philadelphia. there's a chance of a spotty shower or two, nothing widespread, but one or two locations could pick up that shower later on. future tracker 6 we're look at

nothing more than combination of is sun and clouds. here comes the broken line, spotty showers by 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6 and 7:00 p.m. working out to sea with the passage of the cold front. on a scale of one to ten, it's an 8 not a bad day. tomorrow a beautiful day, lower humidity levels, monday arena tuesday, the weather is nice, comfortable side, but we introduce the possibility of thunderstorms as we get into tuesday. i'll be back along with the details in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. nydia? >> chris, thank you. new this morning, a shooting in philadelphia's strawberry mansion section has wounded three people and two of the victims are teens. they told police someone opened fire on them as they were crossing the 1900 block of north 31st street early this morning. a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg and 17-year-old shot in the shoulder. the 25-year-old man shot in the back was critically injured.

police are looking for the shooter and trying to figure out the motive. and chopper 6 hd was over the scene of a feltonville apartment building now slated for demolition after the floor of a second floor apartment suddenly gave way trapping a woman and her young children inside. "action news" reporter, jeff chirico has the details. >> it's scary, because i didn't know what was happening. >> reporter: neighbors described tense moments as a family became trapped in a collapsing home. chopper 6 hd over the scene as fire crews responded to west rockland street near the boulevard. part of a second floor fell stranding a mother and four children upstairs. >> i heard her screaming out the window, help me, help me, help my kids. >> neighbors jumped into action. >> i ran around the back, she had the babies out the window, i climbed up the tree and started doing the best i could to help her out. knowledge perched in the tree he

grabbed and lowered each trial. grandmother said her 24-year-old daughter was injured when she jumped on a mattress below. pgw spent hours trying to cap a gas leak to shut off service to the building l&i deemed unsafe. red paws relief took in four dogs, the frustrated tenants say the building was not properly maintained. >> how can a person own something like this and have people paying rent every month. >> reporter: this grandmother is counting her blessing that this didn't end in tragedy. >> i'm grateful that i have neighbors on my block that loves us enough to help us. >> the red cross is helping those who were displaced, but officials could not say how many people were affected by this. i reached out to the owner of the proper, but my calls were not returned. >> feltonville, jeff chirico channel 6 "action news."

informant cannot be removed from the video. a fatal fire in bensalem was ruled an accident. it started in the home in the live -- living room. 39-year-old was killed after running into the burning home to save her pets. 30-year-old nicholas massy has been released from jail after being charged with ramming a dozen parked vehicles in delaware. he started the rampage on west 14th street at 12:30 a.m. he slammed his ford pickup truck into one vehicle after another including a $100,000 mazerati. >> it was not a sideswipe type of issue it was full blown ramming, backing up, ramming, accelerating push the car from the street on to the sidewalk. >> witnesses say when police

arrested him he showed no emotion. they say he told police someone was chasing. massy meantime faces several charges, reckless endangering and leaving the scene and driving without insurance. police in delaware are looking for the driver of involved in a deadly hit-and-run, the body was found yesterday morning, a passer by discovered his body. new jersey assembly speaker vincent creato sent a letter to chris christie saying state employees should be paled for the state government -- paid for the state government shut down. you probably remember this, the government spent sunday on island beach even though the shut down prohibited the public from being there. a bill produced yesterday would

this afternoon. so much so you can open up the windows and enjoy fresh air as we head into sunday. quickly before i get into the forecast, i wanted to show you the pictures that were sent in to me from the viewers from yesterday's storms. look at this, as you look at the left-hand side of the screen, you can see the leading end of the gust front sent in by linda out in andora. this is cherry hill, new jersey, sent in my kathy, you can see the leading edge of the gust front with the cooler air of the thunderstorm. here's another nice shot, williams town, new jersey, sent in by michael. that's the leading edge of the gust front or shelf cloud that pushed through marching through the viewing area yesterday evening. it cooled things down briefly, but upped the humidity levels a little bit. in the long run everything will feel better as we head into the

a 19-year-old man was driving a honda when he hit another car. the impact caused both vehicles to lose control and smash four park cars. both drivers were taken to the hospital. police say the driver of the honda admitted to drinking before getting behind the wheel and faces dui charges. this morning, president donald trump has met with british prime minister teresa may, the visit is one of many scheduled today as president trump wraps up meetings with world leaders at the g20 summit in germany. president trump sat down with prime minister, during the sit down he said he will make a visit to the uk. he made remarks about the meeting with russian president vladimir putin. brian clark has more on that meeting and the protests president trump's meeting has sparked. >> reporter: outside, protesters went head to head with police in the streets of hamburg. inside trump and putin went

service to the buildings. l.and i.deemed it unsafe. the red cross is helping those displaced residents. a man is in serious condition after jumping off a septa train in southwest philadelphia and suffering a severe head injury. the man was lucky, he got first aid from a handful of people on the train who knew what they were doing, a pediatrician and two nurses and middle town assistant fire chief. >> i may see them on a train soon until that time i wish them luck for the great work they did. >> the victim panicked after he realized he was on the wrong train. he had a boarding pass on him for a flight to chicago he was not going to make. >> a philadelphia discovery has philadelphia police concerned this morning, someone left a noose in a tree. the man on the left tossed the

noose into the tree. the incident is being investigated as a hate crime. police don't know who the target might have been. last week an employee at the philadelphia branch of the u.s. mint was accused of turning a noose into -- rope into a noose and leaving on a black co-workers chair. he has been displayed -- placed on administrative leave. funeral services for bianca roberson were held at saint paul's baptist church in west chester yesterday. family and friends are struggling with the senselessness of her death. >> i'm pissed, i am mad, i'm like, why, it doesn't make any sense at all. everybody wants to shoot everybody, why? >> bianca roberson had just grawted -- graduated from high

school and planning to attend jacksonville university this fall. david desper was charged with her charge. four mentally disabled adults were held captive in a philadelphia basement. one is speaking out about her ordeal. chad perdelli has her story. >> reporter: the scars on her are evident her forehead bears the marks where she was hit with a pistol. >> he hit me with the metal bed. >> reporter: while her bones may have shattered her spirit never wavered. >> i was thank to god, i'm still beautiful and alive. >> reporter: her ordeal began in 2001, linda weston kidnapped the 20-year-old saying she was taking her to go baby-sit. she dragged her to a basement and changed her to a boiler.

breeden who has a mental capacity of a ten-year-old would be joined by other mental disabled adults. weston would steal her disability checks. >> she endured a concentration camp existence for 11 years. >> reporter: this is her attorney. breeden won a 45 million-dollar default judgment against weston but likely never see a dime, weston will likely die in prison. breeden focuses on her art and her three children two born in captivity. her young errs lives with her in kensington. >> when you talk to her and know her you understand she has this unshakeable optimism.
