"action news" reporter trish hartman is there. dann cuellar is live in bensalem township where police are searching another property and have just taken someone into custody. trish, let's begin with you. a lot to talk about. what are these late developments. >> reporter: well, jim, the bucks county district attorney has said this has been like finding needles in a haystack. they're following strong leads and resources from all over bucks county are being used to find these four men officials say they now believe that will foul play is involved. on day two of the exhaustive search for four young men, investigators focused on several locations in solebury township including a field on upper mountain road off of route 202. >> we dedicated a ton of investigative resources there. we're not exactly sure what we

are going to find there but we're pretty confident that the investigation is proceeding in the direction that we believe that it would. >> reporter: a tented area was set up near a backhoe on the rural property. this is all part of the search for 19-year-old dean finocchiaro of middletown township, 19-year-old jimi patrick of newtown, 22-year-old mark sturgis of pennsburg and 21-year-old tom meo of plumstead. patrick has been missing since wednesday. the other three have been missing since friday. there was also heavy police activity in bensalem today as police searched a house on wayland circle. this all started yesterday when investigators spent hours searching a property on aqua tone road in solebury township, the family of mark sturgis says his car was found in peddler'sville lidge in lahaska. the families of the four missing men are still hoping for a positive outcome.

>> they're very prayerful anxious and fearful but they maintain some hope. i think that is the position they want to stay in at this point. >> reporter: we learned 20-year-old cosmo dinardo taken from the home on why land circle in bensalem has been charged with possession of a firearm and is being held on $1 million bail. police have not said if dinardo is connected to this missing persons case. the next planned update from the district attorney is set for 11 o'clock tomorrow morning. we're live in solebury township, trish hartman channel6 "action news." jim. >> of course the suggestion is he might be. let's switch live to "action news" reporter dann cuellar in the 9900 block of wayland circle in bensalem. dann, police are focusing on that location looking for some answers to this mystery. >> reporter: that's right, jim. this search continues to expand with authorities now combing through a home here in the 900 block of wayland circle. "action news" has confirmed that the home is owned by

sandra dinardo. she and her husband also own a farm in solebury that was being searched with heavy equipment by the fbi earlier. and she owns a home in the 2800 block of aqua ton road in solebury that was also being searched on sunday night. for the record, she and her husband have not been named as suspects in the case and authorities would not say if they have questioned their son cosmo in connection with any of this. but "action news" has now learned that cosmo has been taken into custody for an unrelated weapons charge dating back to february. his bail has now been set at $1 million. so, it's apparent authorities don't want him going anywhere while they sort this thing out. and clearly there was a reason why authorities are focusing so much attention on properties owned by the dinardos. authorities say they're not exactly sure what they're going to find here at this home but ostensibly they're looking for any physical and or forensic computer and telecommunication evidence that could shed light on the

"action news" reporter sarah bloomquist has the story. >> reporter: this was the scene at the packer of a marine terminal shortly after 12:30 this afternoon. officials say a worker operating what's called a top loader or a top pick accidentally knocked a stack of shipping containers. one fell onto a small white pickup truck below. the 52-year-old man inside was pronounced dead at the scene. >> accidents happen so this as far as i know is a accident that happened.

>> reporter: ray is a longshoreman who declined to give his last name. he says he worked alongside the man who died and the man who was operating the equipment which ray says looks just like this. it lifts and moves the large containers carrying cargo from around the world. >> i knew the gentleman and he was a very good friend friend of mine as far as coming to work every day, seeing him, you know. so, some guys, you know, have different reactions, you know. i had my moment. i've gathered myself a little bit now and it probably will come and go. i won't see him no more. >> reporter: ray told us the man who died was working as a so-called checker moving around the marine terminal counting storage containers and monitoring ongoing operations. in the aftermath of the fatal accident, police, fire and osha responded to the scene. trucks were turned away at the gates as the investigation got under way. >> operator, too, and i was told he started throwing up. he was having -- 'cause i know

him. he's the type of guy, i got to know him he's very -- family guy, you know, care about people and, um, i don't know how -- i don't know how you recover from something like this. >> reporter: the name of the 52-year-old victim has not yet been released. this pier was closed immediately following the accident. it is expected to open for regular business tomorrow morning. in south philadelphia, i'm sarah bloomquist channel6 "action news". >> now an update to a weekend murder in norristown. investigators charged santiago andre for killing man who robbed him. police say the 29-year-old chased the thief and tripped him on the 200 block of dekalb pike yesterday morning. he allegedly picked up the robber's weapon shot and killed him. that man identified as kristen green. ville fond andre surrendered and was charged with voluntary

manslaughter. more evidence in the preliminary hearings of 16 penn state students in the dench fraternity pledge timothy piazza. chad pradelli is live in belfont pennsylvania. chad much of the focus today on the texts that fraternity brothers sent to each other during the maelstrom caused by piazza's death. >> reporter: jim, those text messages are troubling. if you listen to the d.a., she says some show the coverup some show the panic that set in with fraternity members. as timothy piazza sought for his life prosecutors say pledge master daniel casey texted his girlfriend it's over. i don't want to go to jail for this. in another text, defendant carry dibile texted a fellow fraternity member it's not the fact that he drank. he drank because we hazed him to, main word being haze. tom kline represents timothy piazza's parents. >> they're and crushed today.
