dinardo is back behind bars. there he is. this time on five million dollars cash bail. it is wednesday night and the big story on "action news" tonight. breaking news in bucks county the search is intensifying for four men and grim happenings in solebury have developed an audience across the country. "action news" reporters walter perez and gray hall are on this story tonight. lets begin with walter perez with the latest on the search scene. >> the size and scope of the search scene in bucks county is nothing short of jaw dropping but the headline is the rearrest of the person of interest in this case. >> it was 6:30 yesterday evening when 20-year-old cosmo dinardo posted bail on an unrelated weapons charge and left the bucks county jail. less than 24 hours later he is back in custody. >> this is for receiving stolen

property and theft of a 1996 nissan maxima. that is owned by thomas meo. he is one of the four men reported missing last week in bucks county and district attorney matt weintraub says the alligation goes further. >> we allege that cosmo dinardo attempts to sell meo's vehicle for $500 to a friend whose identify we know but are protecting in the court document sfwlz what make its more disturbing is that meo is diabetic and in the car they found his medication and a diabetic kit. they say he would not likely survive with those items. day four in the search for the four missing men in bucks county and weintraub says that while investigators are trying to connect the dots he feels good about the direction that this case is moving. we'll find something for sure i have no doubt of that. no doubt of that.

>> reporter: weintraub announcing that several pieces of new evidence is recovered in several locations including here at the 90 acre site owned by the dinardo family. walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> walter thank you. lets take a look at bensalem police officers arrested cosmo dinardo earlier this afternoon. chopper 6 hd was overhead as officers escorted dinardo into the buck county jail. we go live to gray hall at the district justice office in buckingham township. gray, the release on bail last night raised more than a few eyebrows but tonight back behind bars with a $5 million cash bail it's likely he will stay there for a while. >> as you know the last bail released his family was able to

pay $100,000 on that case and this was taken off the table the judge setting the $5 million cash bail the highest she says she has ever set. >> and cosmo dinardo is in jail. he faces the judge in a video conference but that the hearing did not center around the disappearance of the four men but the theft of one of their cars. they allege that he stole tam as meo's car and tried to sell it to a friend for $500 and was found at the property belonging to dinardo's family in solebury township. they argued that the da knew with this theft and should have brought the charges up beforehand but they wanted something to keep dinardo in jail because he was already in jail for firearms charges.

dinardo's attorneys fought back arguing he was not a flight risk or threat. saying he does not have a passport and no prior christmas nat history in the end the judge sided with the da's office and set the huge $5 million cash bail assuring dinardo will be in jail for sometime. >> back out live a preliminary hearing current charges set for july 31st he is locked up in jail unless someone can come up with the $5 million cash. gray hall, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. we just now have received the statement on behalf of dinardo's parents. it says as parents mr. and mrs. dinardo sympathize with the parents of the missing young men and are cooperating in every possible way with the investigation being conducted by law enforcement. the mysterious disappearances

and his name not released so far. and that he may have gone nuts from a drug known as wet. >> a.j. wright tried in vein to rescue a murder victim this morning. the crime went down in crescentville at 7:00 a.m. the home of rosalind wick was n invaded by a man that beat her with a hammer and stabbed her four times in the neck. wick's daughter escaped from the house and appealed to wright to help. >> he came face-to-face with the mad man. >> i go to the door the guy slams the door in my face, boom i'm trying to get in the house. >> she was stabbed multiple times and other things found at the crime scene but definitely

the wounds to the neck were the cause of death. >> wright heard the violence attack behind closed door and then silence and saw him flee out the window. >> he ran across the grass to his family's house and locked both the doors and jumped out another window again. >> police have the name of the suspect but they are not releasing it so far. the han musn't is intense and neighbors are in shock of the ghastly murder who was about to become a grandmother for the first time this summer. >> a great lady going to church every sound and a big influence on the community. >> there is a $20,000 reward posted by city hall if you can help find this man's whereabouts. i'm vernon odom, channel 6 "action news" at police headquarters in center city.
