drowning neighborhoods and a shopping plaza. emergency responders evacuating residents. in wisconsin, a state of emergency declared. the extreme weather also hitting the east. record rain causing flooding in buffalo. >> i got water all the way up to past my chest on my shirt. >> reporter: it was a race against time for rescuers near buffalo pushing this car to dry land. >> the water came when i got out of the car, the water was up to here on me. i'm still soaking wet. >> reporter: in this house by a creek rescuing an 83-year-old trapped inside her home surrounded by water. >> within a half hour the whole place was surrounded. >> reporter: and the not so good news here the river is already at major flood stage and it's expected to continue rising slowly through tomorrow. david. >> just stunning images from that drone camera. thank you. now severe moving into the east as well. >> the front that sparked all these storms is finally going to be on the move and it will

squeeze even more moisture out of these clouds so we have flood watches still posted for eastern parts of ohio, west virginia and new york and as this storm begins to push off to the east and all this humidity comes up a severe weather threat on top of the rain across the delmarva peninsula including philadelphia and potentially a tornado or two all throughout the afternoon. >> thanks so much. breaking news from overseas. a deadly terror attack near one of jerusalem's holy site, dramatic footage there you're looking at showing the shoot-out with police and abc's james longman has all the details for us this morning. good morning, james. good morning, amy. yes, two israeli policemen were killed in east jerusalem this morning. they were attacked by three palestinians who fled the scene. take a look at this dramatic cell phone footage that shows one of the attackers fighting with israeli security before being shot. the attackers were shot dead by police inside the holy compound which is known to muslims as haram al sharif and to jews as

temple mount killed at one of the holiest sites in the world. the attack happened before friday prayers which have now been canceled. that hasn't happened, we believe, since 1990 which has made the whole situation more tense. incidents around there have stirred up rage in the past but authorities on both sides are doing their best to keep things calm. amy. >> all right, james, we appreciate it. thank you. david. we turn to major headlines out of washington this morning. president trump on his way back to the u.s. after celebrating bastille d answering tough questions on the world stage from our correspondent and as the russia investigation does ramp up, the top democrat on the senate intelligence committee hast don has been asked to provide documents and speak with the committee. of course, the battle over health care hitting a breaking point revealing a new dftdy fac opposition from members of their own party. much more on that in a moment but first let's get to our senior white house correspondent cecilia vega on the ground in paris where the parade.

good morning, cecilia. >> reporter: 2k5i6d, good morning to you. i should say bon jour. president trump was here center stage on the champs-elysees and seemed to be enjoying this parade that happened here, a bunch of military planes and tanks but he is on his way home where that controversy over russia awaits. president trump having the time of his life at bastille day. ♪ pointing at the show with the first lady. laughing with the french president but not of military might on the cham champs-elysees or dinner at the overshadow those mounts questions about his son's trump tower meeting with a russian lawyer. at that press conference alongside the french president we asked, mr. president, your fbi nominee said if someone in a campaign got an e-mail about russia like the one that your son don junior received, that they should fbi rather than accept that meeting. is he wrong? also, were you misled by your

team in not knowing about this meeting? >> my son is a wonderful young man. he took a meeting with a russian lawyer, not a government lawyer, but a russian lawyer. it was a short meeting. it was a meeting that went very, very quickly, very fast. >> reporter: but in nose e-mails don junior agreed to meet with the russian government attorney who wanted to provide the campaign with information that would damage hillary clinton. president trump coming to his son's defense. >> and nothing came of the meeting. and i think it's a meeting that most people in politics probably would have taken. >> reporter: the french press pouncing on president trump's past paris bashing. >> you were implying at the time that paris was not safe anymore. those are very strong words. would you repeat them today? >> you better let me answer that one first. that's a beauty. it's going to be just fine because you have a great president. you have somebody that is going to run the country right and i'm

got along this time. >> well, they have that big dinner last night right there inside the eiffel tower. you could see both first couples sitting there together and it went on for, look, they really seemed to be getting along now. handshakes before they departed. very long ones again and president macron wrapped up his bastille day celebration by saying the u.s. and france will never be separated. >> all right, well, you said bon sure. i'll say merci. >> reporter: au revoir. >> that's good. let's ask about what cecilia asked during that press conference. she asked about don junior. we heard the president say he met with a russian lawyer, not a government lawyer and most would have taken this meeting. is that going to be the white house defense, the trump campaign's defense as we move forward on this and are we going to hear don junior testify? >> reporter: certainly is very consistently what donald trump is saying. he said this to reporters on air force one. he said it in the interview with reuters and at the press conference so clearly his belief is that anybody would have taken

this. it directly corrects what his own choice for fbi director said, if you have -- if a politician, a senator, anybody in politics hears an offer like that, he would want that politician to call the fbi and let them know what was going on but, david, you know, as for the russian government attorney, the e-mails that don junior received to set this meeting, it was a meeting with you and the russian government attorney who was flying over from moscow. these will be questions for don junior. he is being asked to testify. chuck grassley, the republican chairman of the judiciary committee, wants to see him soon, he wants to actually start hearing from people next week. >> next week. >> paul manafort by next week. >> very soon. in the meantime, some breaking developments on the ban this morning, a judge and a ruling in hawaii. >> reporter: yes, this is the travel ban, a employee, another employee for the president on this. the supreme court upheld the travel ban but said that there could be exceptions for people who have a bona fide connection with somebody in the united states, this judge has expanded the definition of a bona fide

connection to include niece, uncles, cousins, pretty wide, grandparents, a pretty wide definition. >> jon karl, great to have you in person. >> great to be here. >> amy. >> as the president returns from his trip abroad he is tweeting about the new health care bill saying republican senators are working hard to get their failed obamacare replacement approved. i will be at my desk, pen in hand but this morning, that bill is seeing new signs of trouble and mary bruce has all the latest from capitol hill. good morning, mary. >> reporter: amy, good morning. well, senate republicans have this new health care bill, but the same old problems. opposition from within their own party. this new bill was supposed to help bridge that deep divide in the gop but right now this bill still doesn't have the support to pass. big question this morning looming over capitol hill, can republicans finally get the vote? >> this bill is better than the other bill. i don't know if it will get 50 votes. >> reporter: senate republicans thursday releasing their latest health care bill. >> so, senator, what do you

think? >> i don't know. i'm going to read it. >> reporter: to win over moderates on the fence the bill keeps some obamacare tacks on the wealthy and puts aside $70 billion that could help americans cover high premiums and gives $45 billion to help fight the opioid epidemic but still in the bill deep cuts to medicaid initially projected to be nearly $800 billion. a big problem for the hold-out. >> we're still working on ways to ensure folks who are currently getting coverage under expanded medicaid have options. >> reporter: to sway conservatives, the new bill would allow insurers to offer cheaper bare-bones plans that don't cover essential health benefits like mental health treatment, maternity care and ambulances. this morning republicans have no room for error. already two say these changes don't cut it. and with those two senators already a no, gop leaders now need every single other republican to get on board for this bill to pass. just one more no vote would sink

this bill and, david, gop leaders are still hoping to move to a vote next week, but right now it's unclear if they will have the votes to even have that vote. >> all right, we'll see you on "world news tonight." mary, thanks. breaking new details in the pennsylvania murder mystery involving four young men who vanished. the dogs who discovered them buried 12 feet down, new reporting on the suspect. making a sudden confession. abc's eva pilgrim is outside the courthouse in doylestown. good morning, eva. >> reporter: good morning. this is where it happened. cosmo dinardo confessing to the d.a. to killing those four men in exchange avoiding the death penalty. dinardo giving every detail dropping a new bombshell, saying he didn't act alone. a stunning confession in the murders of four men missing since last week. >> i'm sorry. >> reporter: 20-year-old cosmo dinardo admitting to the crime just hours after police announced that the body of 19-year-old dean finocchiaro and other remains were found on his

family's farm in a makeshift grave. >> he confessed to the participation of the commission of four murders. >> reporter: authorities digging at the 90-acre dinardo family land for days searching for finocchiaro, 21-year-old thomas meo, 22-year-old mark sturgis and 19-year-old jimi patrick. a local catholic prep school confirming that dinardo and patrick both attended school together. >> in exchange for that confession, mr. dinardo was promised by the district attorney that he will spare his life by not invoking the death penalty. >> reporter: diplominardo telli authorities where he buried the bodies and abc news learning three bodies were buried in one location. a fourth in a separate grave. the news comes as new images surface of cosmo dinardo pointing a pistol. sorts telling abc news dinardo posted the photos in a group chat where he told friends he wasn't worried that dean finocchiaro, one of the four

missing men, hadn't turned up. dinardo has been known to police since he was 14 years old. recent court documents show that dinardo had a history of mental illness and had been involuntary committed. prosecutors saying during his recent arraignment that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. friends telling philly.com, dinardo routinely sold guns and had talked about weird things like killing people and having people killed. dinardo has not yet been charged with murder but we expect those charges will come soon. amy. >> indeed, all right, eva, thanks so much. turing overseas to the americans vying for glory at wimbledon. venus williams now in the finals eyeing her sixth wimbledon singles title and 29-year-old sam querrey from california beating defending champ andy murray heading to the semifinals and abc's paula faris is here with all the action on the court. hey, paula. >> hey there, it is an exciting time right now for american tennessee. if you're trying to learn a little more about sam querrey,

falling more than two stories onto a concrete floor wednesday. in this 911 call obtained by tmz, an assistant director on set describes bernecker as barely conscious. >> do you know if he's needing from anywhere. >> yes, it's coming from his nose. >> is he able to talk. >> no. >> reporter: he suffered a head injury so severe, reportedly, he had to be trpded by helicopter to a level one trauma center in atlanta. it's not the first time they've had to shut down due to injury. in 2013 one walker ended up in the hospital after being run tr. bernecker is a veteran stuntman and fight choreographer who worked on a number of projects including "the hunger games" an marvel's upcoming movie "black panther" and his girlfriend posted john deserves to be seen by every neurosurgeon and doctor there is until one sees the life we all know he has in him and bring him back to us. this isn't fair. >> amc is calling his accident tragic. a spokesperson for sag after

fr -- aftra said they're investigating. an exclusive on o.j. simpson as the fallen athlete tries to secure his freedom at a parole hearing next week. some of his accomplices in that robbery that ended up landing him in jail are speaking out about that night. abc's deborah roberts is here with the story this morning. good morning, deborah. >> reporter: most of the guys caught up in that robbery with simpson have paid dearly and lost family bonds, jobs and homes. they've rarely spoken at wleng about this ordeal until now. in fact, one is speaking to us for the very first time about that chaotic night that sent their golfing pal to prison. in less than a week o.j. simpson will plead for his freedom. >> i've not had any incidents despite all the stories and tabloids. >> reporter: after a parole hearing where he won a partial victory he's try forego a full release. simpson convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping after a botched attempt in 2007 to

reclaim his personal memorabilia. >> i thought i was confronting friends and retrieving my property. i didn't mean to steal anything from anybody. and i didn't know i was doing anything illegal. so i'm sorry. i'm sorry for all of it. >> reporter: now some of the men with him that night tell abc news they have regrets. >> he asked me would you go with me to be my security? sure, i'll go with you. little did i know that it was going to turn into what it did. >> i say, so, o.j., what if they call the police? and he looked at me and he used a four-letter word that starts can "f at ends with "k the police. what they gonna do? take me to jail for taking my own stuff? >> mr. simpson asked me to show my gun and look menacing. >> so o.j. says pack up all the stuff and let's get out of here. >> reporter: audio from that room indicates simpson never expected serious charges.

>> it was a strong arm robbery. they came in with guns. >> it was all funny to him. he just, you know, kept saying no guns. just say there wasn't guns. >> reporter: count one conspiracy to commit a crime, guilty. count two, guilty. count three, guilt. >> reporter: he would be sentenced to up to 33 years in prison, some feeling the tough verdict was really a payback for this -- >> we the jury in the above entitled action find the defendant not guilty of the crime of murder. >> reporter: his 1995 acquittal in the brutal slayings of ex-wife nicole brown and her friend ron goldman. >> i'm not here to try and cause any retribution or any payback for anything else. >> reporter: simpson's longtime friend dr. henry johnson has visited him in prison. when did you see o.j. last? >> about two months ago. >> did you talk about the parole hearing. >> yes. >> is he counting on this? is he hopeful. >> yes, he is. very hopeful.

>> do you think he's prepared possibly not to be paroled? >> yeah, i think he is. he has to be. he's a realist. >> reporter: this morning we're getting details about that hearing. officials tell us o.j. will appear in front of the board via video conference and a decision could likely come that very same day. now, people closely watching this case say it's possible he will, indeed, be paroled. some don't know he was actually already paroled on some of those charges a few years ago and the word we get, david and amy, is that he's been a model prisoner at lovelock. >> as you heard he's prepared not to be paroled? us in case. in the meantime, you talked to these men part of this robbery. they've got some pretty strong feelings, anger in it. >> anger but interestingly some say they don't want to see o.j. again but feel he has served the time for this particular crime and most of them seem to feel it is probably likely he'll be released but what they think about him getting out of prison we can tell you a little more tonight on "20/20."

or a high dose or you need a high frequency of exposure so when you look at all of those things, you know, that's what people have to look at from a rational scientific perspective. >> and what's in question is something called a thalate. talk about how that impacts or could possibly impact a negative health problem. >> we've been hearing about it for some time. something we refer to as a potential endocrine disrupter. in route row exposure and affecting sex development, there's a lot we don't know about it. we definitely need more research but to be clear, this is not just about thalates, the environmental protection agency identified over 10,000 such chemicals. they've only screened a fraction of that. so it really speaks to the scope of the problem. >> how are these compounds found in mac and cleeheese? >> it's widespread and really not just in mac and cheese but if all foods including seafood,

we are back now with diy sun protection. we all know sunscreen is a must but what should you do if your child till comes home with a painful sunburn. dr. whitney bowe is here. welcome. >> thank you so much. >> okay, now tell me about some of this stuff. everyone has it in their pantry. >> first i just have to reiterate. the best thing you can do for your kid protect them from the sun in the first place. right, so studies show that bad sunburns in childhood actually increase their risk of skin cancer down the road so is enou spf of 40 or above throughout the summer but that being said, you find yourself in a situation where your little one has had a little too much sun. you can rely on your pantry to ease the pain. very first thing, you want to offer your child some liquid ibuprofen, an adult, take the pill but it reduces pain, swelling, inflammation associated with the burn, tylenol won't do the trick.

after you're done with that, wash it down with some coconut water, sunburns can leave us dehydrated so it's so important to rehydrate and the electrolytes in the coconut water are key. >> okay. >> now this looks like breakfast but i'm guessing it's not. >> it does. one of the things i love for days one and two after a burn is oatmeal and pretty much everyone has that in their pantry. look for instant oatmeal. if you don't have instant -- >> instant is best because it's fine and powdered but if you have regular oatmeal throw it in a food processor and grind it down, combine a little bit of that with some honey, a couple of drops of water and what you'll get out of that is. >> paste. >> a paste-like consistency and what avery would you mind? avery from the audience over here, can you 2k3wi6 me your little arm? >> okay. perfect. good job. let me have you. >> turn towards the camera a little. >> right there. >> and you want to basically just use this spread it on the

skin. >> do it somewhere where it won't get it is a little messy. leave that on for about ten minutes and then you're going to rinse it off with cool water. another great less messy way to ave tube sock, white cotton tube socks, fill that with oatmeal and throw it in your bathtub and by the time you get in you get all the benefits without the sticky pieces landing on the skin. >> okay. avery, you're doing a don't eat it. tell us about this milk. >> so i love milk for days one and two after. throw whole milk, ice cubes and washcloth into a littlethis, ju and then you take that and drape it directly onto the burn. it will leave a film of healthy fats and proteins and speeds up the healing pr >> that's great. thank you very much, whitney. dr. whitney. we'll send it back over to rob. >> all right, sara, the rain picking up a little bit here.int
