>> a pleasant good morning to you, 7:00 a.m., saturday, july 15. in the news this morning, disturbing revelations from two cousins who hit behind bars charged in the grisly murders of four men in bucks county. armed crook force employees of a pizza store into a freezer as they make off with the night's earnings. strong storms bring down trees and power lines and flash flooding. outside we go to meteorologist chris sowers with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. a steamy start to this saturday

morning. >> reporter: this, as we talked about earlier, this might be the worst of it this morning, we're talking about dewpoint in the low to mid 70s. everything is nice and still, there's no breeze, it's very, very sticky. downpours yesterday let's take a look back what happened yesterday, thursday we had the tornado warning in bucks county. that line of severe weather dropped into south jersey yesterday afternoon, produced flooding downpours and gusty winds. woodbine, 3.20 inches of rain. millville, 2.88. dennisville, 2.85. harass -- harrisonville, 2.6. quarter size hail reported in buena vista, but hammonton, ping pong size hail. west chester there was damage.

now, as we take a look at storm tracker 6 live we set it in motion, one lone shower in the pine barrens of western ocean county. lots of clouds this morning, increasing sunshine as the day goes on, and less humid, 87 degrees. the comfortable air will not last long, the humidity increases monday, another heat wave is on the way, oh, boy. i'll have the details in just a few minutes. i'll let you know the details and when it arrives. >> look forward to it thank you for the update. 7:02 a.m., it is the end of a murder mystery in bucks county. two suspects gave the gruesome details on the deaths of four young men. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: the disturbing case involving drugs and murders and

burials by two cousins left many in disbelief. >> we'll never know why it happened, but it makes you sad. >> it's peaceful here, very tranquil, it's something you wouldn't think of around here. >> i'm shocked, i'm shocked that anybody could do something like that. >> i wouldn't want to be their parents, i feel sorry for the family. >> reporter: the painful and graphic cases detailed in cosmo dinardo made public, he diamond out sean kratz ass as his accomplice. he was arrested. he tells investigators he agreed to sell jimi patrick 4 pounds of marijuana for $8,000. when patrick had $800. he offered to sell him a shotgun instead he shot him and used a backhoe to bury the body. he agreed to sell dean

finocchiaro marijuana, but picked up his cousin, they took him to the farm where he shot him in the head. he meets up with tom meo and mark sturgis. the car was left at his parents property and they head to the farm where kratz is working. he shoots him in the back and falls to the ground screaming. he is shot as he runs away. cosmo dinardo runs him over with a backhoe. all three were put in a pig roaster and buried under ground. the motive for this? >> i'm not sure we can answer that question. >> reporter: one thing they are certain of they would have never found jimi patrick's remains if they had not made the plea deal with cosmo dinardo. >> we found him i don't know that we would have ever. >> reporter: weintraub said the

victims' families showed tremendous strength as they worked to bring their loved one homes. >> i hope i'm never in their shoes, if i were i hope ink handle -- i can handle it with the courage and dignity. in change of cosmo dinardo's confession away spared the death penalty. in new hope, bucks county, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> "action news" learned that sean kratz was already in trouble with the law before his arrest. the 20-year-old was due in court next week on outstanding burglary charges in philadelphia. kratz had twice been arrested for break-ins in june 2016 and february 2017. he was in court early thursday for the february case. later that night he was taken into custody and charged with three counts of murder and related offenses. the community is invited to a vigil of healing to remember the four men killed in bucks county. it will be held tomorrow night

at the garden garden of reflectn lower makefield at 7:30. we'll get the information to you as it comes into the newsroom. we have background on the case on the 6abc app including court documents outlining the tragic events that happened in the case. torrential rain caused flash flooding in parts of south jersey. take a look at this video here. in sea isle city, people were scene wading through the water that was knee deep in areas. boy, that would not be fun. cars got stuck and had to be pushed to drier land. in bridgeton crews worked late clearing a mudslide after pearl street flooded. a video shows cars that became submerged. the driver got out okay, but the cars were towed. crews are expected to the scene this morning. >> we went down to look, there were three cars stuck in five feet of water all the way up to the windows, yeah it was crazy.

in millville, strong winds knocked over a tree on south second street taking down power lines and blocking a portion of the road for hours. happening right now, the search is on for a pair of armed crook who held i happen up pizza store overnight and locked employees into a freezer. police say the two armed robbers burst into the dominoes on the 1200 block of delaware street in new castle at 2:00 a.m. they demanded money from the worker at the counter. other employees ran to help when they heard the commotion. the suspects forwarded all workers into a freeze when they took the money. president trump is spending this weekend at his new jersey golf resort after celebrating bastille day in paris. controversy is surrounding his son don junior, a russian

lobbyist who was a soviet military officer was at the meeting and reported to have ties to russian intelligence, the lobbyist told washington post, lawyer left behind documents for the trump team, but did not say what was in the documents. the justice department is appealing a federal judge's order that allows refugees working with the resettlement agency into the u.s. the u.s. district judge expanded the list of u.s. family relationships that refugees and visitors from 6 muslim-majority countries can use. that ruling could help 24,000 refugees vetted, but barred by the 120 freeze on admission. this morning there's hope for frantic brides after a nationwide bridal store abruptly closed its stores, many women showed up yesterday outside the store there in cherry hill and watched as employees boxed up

so glad you stayed with us, emily got the care of her life, 4-month-old son started overheating as the flight sat on the tarmac during a heat wave. they got ice for the boy and let him cool down. but when she got back on the plane, her son's body went limp. his mom wants to make it a requirement to list how hot a plane can get while it's idle with passengers on board. right now that's not a requirement. a 9-year-old florida boy is

really bad days, not only were we talking about highs in the upper 90s, all the severe weather we had. yesterday we had severe weather and a couple of times earlier this weekend we can thunderstorms and gusty winds and heavy drenching downpours, we're looking at a gloomy image on on the other side of the delaware river looking at the camden waterfront. it's extremely humid out there, very, very uncomfortable. dewpoints all the way up into the 70s. temperatures are in the 70s, as well. we'll take a tour across the region. 671 degrees in allentown. 73 in reading. 74 in philadelphia. millville, 73. dover, 73. the general idea for today we'll start out with a lot of the clouds and patchy fog this morning, we'll see an increase in sunshine as the day wears on. hour by hour, 3:00 p.m., 85 degrees, mostly sunny skies at that point. 5:00 p.m., 86. nice sunshine out there.

chilling details a cousins sit behind bars this morning charged with killing four men in bucks county. they have grisly descriptions of their alleged crime. gunfire erupts at a birthday in strawberry mansion. one man at the celebration is rushed to the hospital in critical condition. plus improving conditions, we'll dry out after vicious storms wreaked havoc across the delaware valley.

more on those stories, but first let's turn our attention to chris sowers outside, the weekend is here -- >> reporter: doesn't look too good right now. later this afternoon it will look better, the sun will peek through. more importantly the humidity leaves will drop off a little bit. with that said, we have work to do, dewpoints presently in the low to mid 70s. actually, yesterday it was a little bit higher at this time, but there was a little bit of a breeze, but right now we're not seeing anything, the air is stagnant. 72 in philadelphia. wilmington, 73. again these are dewpoints. millville, 74. lancaster, 70. dover, 73. in order to get into the comfort zone those numbers need drop down in the upper 50s low 60s. 74 air temperature in philadelphia, millville, 74. wilmington, 75. atlantic city, 75. cape may, 73. kalen town, checking in at 71.

satellite and radar look toward the left-hand side of the screen you can see clear conditions that's an air mass that is nice and dry and comfortable for this time of the year. that will be rushing in after lunchtime. that will lower the dewpoint temperatures down. forecast for today, starting out with clouds in philadelphia, immediate surrounding suburbs, increasing the sun as the day wears on. forecasting a high of 87 in the city. for the jersey shore, a little bit of a land breeze developing, high temperatures in the low 80s. same idea starting out with a lot of the clouds and gradual increase in sun. 1:00 p.m. temperature on the sand, 83 by 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, brighter with sunshine from start to finish. monday it all changes with more

humidity and thunderstorms some could be strong to severe. i'll be back with the details in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> time 7:33 a.m., funeral preparations are underway for the four young men who were brutally killed in bucks county. officials say a pair of cousins confessed to killing all of them. cosmo dinardo and sean kratz told the police in detail about the grisly crime. in and around -- cosmo dinardo is accused of killing jimi patrick and burying him if a single grave. dean finocchiaro, tom meo, steve scalise were found in a common grave a mile from where patrick was buried. >> we the ground under an old oil tank that was converted into a cooker, 12 1/2 feet down. >> drugs played a role in the murder, both cosmo dinardo and kratz had a prior run in with the law.

kratz was in court on a burglary charge the morning he was arrested. meanwhile, loyola university in maryland where patrick finished his freshman year is planning a memorial mass when the students return in the fall. the president released a same time saying -- cosmo dinardo and sean kratz are behind bars this morni know, they are at two separate locations until after the hearing that will have at the end of the month. the bucks county assistant district attorney said they are operated for safety reasons. >> it's typical in criminal case where co-defendants are charged there could be danger to them or other prisoners, we move a prisoner to another prison in

order to assure the safety of them as well as other prisoners. >> "action news" has learned that the prosecutors consulted with the families of the victims before making a deal with cosmo dinardo to not seek the death penalty. the community is invited to a vigil of healing to remember the four men killed in bucks county. it will be held tomorrow night at the garden of reflection in lower makefield at 7:30. 7:35 a.m., strong storms swooped into the delaware valley flooding roads and knocking down trees. the damage was widespread across the area, however south jersey bore the brunt of the storm. jeff chirico takes a look at all the damage. >> it was calm and it just got crazy out of nowhere. >> reporter: this was the scene in sea isle city, torrential rains turned streets into rivers. this paddle boarder had the ride idea, but these guys got

stranded in the flooding and had to be pushed out. the rising water was no obstacle for this pizza delivery guy. strong winds knocked over this tree on south second street in millville blocking the road for hours. nearby the rain caused emily drive to flood. the front yards of several homes were not spared, either. in bridgeton, crews worked late after a mudslide hit pearl street. the cars became submerged, the driver got out okay and the cars had to be towed. >> we went down to look and the cars were stuck in three feet of water. >> reporter: crews will have to return to sure you mean the embankment -- sure up the embankment to make sure this doesn't happen again.

jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." >> gunfire interrupted a celebration in strawberry mansion. it happened s.a.t party was wrapping up -- it happened as the party was wrapping up around 2:15 a.m. a man saw another man approaching him with a gun in his hand. he went back inside and tried to prevent the gunman from entering. that's when the suspect opened fire. the victim was shot three times and had to be rushed to temple university hospital in critical condition. the suspect ran off and remains this morning on the run. a man right now is in critical condition after being shot in the head at a philadelphia gas station. this happened around 10:00 a.m. sunoco on erie avenue in the nicetown section. the victim was standing outside the store as two armed men approached him. the victim ran as the crook opened fire hitting him. the bullets shattered the door of the mini mart no arrests have

been made so far. gloucester county police investigating a late-night shooting on the 1100 block of spruce street in paulsboro. 11:30 p.m., someone opened fire hitting the male victim in the leg. the victim was taken to cooper hospital and expected to be okay. happening today a mural dedication will takes place to honor a fallen philadelphia police officer sergeant robert wilson iii was killed when he confronted two armed thieves at a gang stop in 2015. he was an 8 year veteran at the 22nd district. the tribute designed by artist david mcshane is located on baltimore avenue. atlantic city boys and girls club received a boost all thanks to the big concert on the beach featuring pink. live nation and the mayor presented the kids with $30,000 check. one dollar from each ticket sold
