rescue crews pulled him from the waters of the schuylkill river. it was around noon when the child fell into the water. family members including the boy's father jumped in to find him. police and firefighters quickly responded. police shutdown kelly drive as the search played out. on the banks of the water, people comforted each other, seeing a glimpse of hope when firefighters and police found the young boy. later today, adults playing along the river banks with children reacted. valerie franks, three and 5-year-old great grandkids stayed close to her after hearing the news >> they don't know danger. they don't know danger. >> alex harrison became extra vigilant thinking about what the family must be going through. >> it's sad, when we come out here as parents you don't think about your child falling into the river. it's sad. i feel bad for the family. >> reporter: according to

getting out of her car at new york and atlantic avenues. the driver has been apprehended. the woman was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. three employees of a domino's pizza in new castle were locked inside a walk-in freezer early this morning when a pair of thieves helped themselves to the restaurant's cash. police say the two arm men 2004sed their way into the restaurant on 1200 block of driveway street about 2:00 this morning, no word how much they took. one employee was treated at the scene by medics. a birthday party in the strawberry mansion section took a violent turn when an armed man opened fire. police say the party along the 2700 block of west york road was winding down about 2:15 this morning. when they say man approached the suspect inside a house there. the man tried to hold the door shut to prevent the gunman from entering but he made it inside, opened fire and hit the victim several times. that victim was then taken to temple university hospital in critical condition. no further information about the case has been released at this

time. another shooting overnight in the city's nicetown section ended with a man badly injured. the victim who's not been identified at this time. was walking across a sunoco gas station parking lot when two arm men approached. he ran and they opened fire striking him in the back of the head. the victim was taken to temple hospital. where he remains in critical condition tonight. so far, no arrests have been made. a touching tribute to a philadelphia police officer who died in the line of duty has been unveiled in southwest philadelphia. dedicated this amazing mueller honoring sergeant robert wilson iii. looks over the 6300 block of baltimore avenue. he was killed in north philadelphia buying a for his young son. the family was on hand and they say they're grateful to the city and to the people of our city. >> it's mixed emotions all the time. the but anything for robbie, we're here. we miss him every day. just, any, you know, gesture of,
