we did peak at 96 degrees at 4:30 in the afternoon and well beyond the normal of 87 degrees and this is day three of what could be a week long heat wave. excessive heat warnings those are the pink counties here wilmington philadelphia and trenton. that is in effect until 8:00 p.m. tomorrow evening. the rest of the area in the orange is heat advisory remains in effect this evening until 7:00 p.m. basically not much of a difference between the advisory warning most areas are topping off in the upper 90s to near 100 and surpassing 100 from lancaster, wilmington and millville and the atlantic city airport. that is how hot it feels right now, lehigh valley coming in at 95 degrees. we are tracking some nasty storms that sparked a couple of tornado warnings in new york state. this coming in from the north and west and could clip the northern area as the line holds

are looking for as the search want is sealed. this is a disturbing story for many people in this area of the philadelphia suburbs. when a 43-year-old professional woman an average wary was reported missing, it's not sure if we walk add way from her life her child and her job if she did herself harm in some way or if someone tried to harm her. >> detectives and forensics arriveded today with a search warrant. police were initially allowed in the house when anna was reported missing in april and since then anna's husband who hired an attorney has not allowed entry. he has not spoken about his wife or the effort of anna's friends that handed out missing posters. they asked for information about

on that thank you. philadelphia police are searching for the man that they say stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her mother in south philadelphia overnight. the mother died and the 21-year-old daughter is in critical condition. the 24-year-old ex-boyfriend was enraged over the recent breakup they say just before 2:00 a.m. the altercation began next to the home of 2700 block of daily terrace and spilled out into the street and neighbors ran for help and called 911. >> there were the young man helping them and brave enough to help her. they were just saying help help, she is dying. >> well, police say they know who the suspect is and where he lives and now they have to find him. >> this afternoon we getting a first look at police body cam video of septa officers firing shots at the armed gunman in kensington. a picture here it's a screen grab of the suspect, 37-year-old jose lebron taken from the dramatic shootout taken on the

body cameras. charged with attempted murder along with a list of other charges just filed this afternoon. officers initially responded to a shooting on the 400 block of east somer street. one officer was tending to a victim as other officer as rived at the scene they say that lebron emerged from a nearby home and pointed a gun at his own head and then the officers -- >> hey! put it down! put the gun down! >> just a flash of the shooter but you hear the officers yelling drop it, drop it. it's obvious that something tense is occurring, a firearm was recovered. >> and police say that that gun has several .40 caliber rounds in it, and lebron is in stable condition. and the victim that brought police to the scene in the first

place is said to be a 48-year-old woman shot in the neck and she is listed in critical condition and that woman lives with lebron and septa police tell us that they wanted to get the video out there so the public can see and hear what played out and what prompted the officers to fire shot. all about transparency today. >> stunning video. all right. today authorities returned to the solebury property owned by cosmo dinardo's family. a large amount of officers were searching the farmland. matt weintraub says police are making sure they did not miss evidence before releasing the crime scene back to the dinardo family. it's unclear if they found anything today and the 20-year-old dinardo remains jailed after admitting to killing four missing men.

one of those four murder victims were laid to rest today and family membersp friends of tom meo gathered in north philadelphia for the funeral. the mass was held and a memorial for one of the other victims. 22-year-old mark sturgis is scheduled for today from 7:00 until 9:00 tonight. investigators say that two men found in a lake in cumberland county were brothers and it appears they both drowned while fishing. chopper 6 hd was overhead as crews responded to crystal lake in vineland. the victims are identified the vargass from bridgeton. they were fishing they believe and went fish and and one got in trouble and broth drowned when the other tried to help. coming up john mccain's

west and some of them will survive in our northern counties and sparking some severe weather binghamton and just to the north of williamsport and scranton a watch box in effect. and most of these will fall apart and most will clip the areas around the poconos and 7:00 near allentown and you can see the line breaks apart as we get into the late evening hours at 10:30, and could be a surviving downpour or rumble of thunder or thunderstorm north of philadelphia and trenton into ocean county and moves away for the rest of the overnight hours. future tracker 6 temperatures, 91 philadelphia at 10:00 mountain morning, same for millville and dover and 90 degrees first thing in the midmorning hours and 80s at the shore and afternoon hours tomorrow. once again it feels like the upper 90s to near 100 and lower tomorrow due to a little bit of drier air trying to be mixed in from the upper atmosphere.

we are all feeling it the heat and humidity and the excessive heat warnings in effect now in philadelphia and trenton and wilmington extend through the day tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. and advisories for the northwestern counties and southern new jersey and delaware. they expire at 7:30 this evening. but the problem here with this particular heat wave is how long it will last. just a reminder, heat is the number one relate said killer in the country. our bodies cannot handle being
