that's the first thing, near his two youngest children. if that is granted, he'llable assign -- be assigned to a florida probation officer. >> he should have no problem supporting himself. he receives a pension from the nfl, reported to be $25,000 a month, which he has collected the entire time he has been in prison. it is expected he will walk free in the first week in object. the murder verdict was october 3rd, 1995. possibly walking free some 22 years after. new developments from the white house after president trump's legal team is reportedly seeking to discredit the russia probe by looking for potential conflicts of interest. they're said to be investigating the investigators hired by robert mu robert mueller. his president has asked about his power to pardon aides, family members and himself. he said mueller would be crossing a red line if he looked

into family finances. the white house doubled down but says he has no intention of firing mueller. >> that should mott be viewed as a threat, as a warning to what this special counsel should or should not be looking at as it relates to the president's family's finances? >> the presidente preside's mak that the special counsel should not move outside the scope of the investigation. >> in the meantime, jeff sessions says he is not planning to resign after a blistering rebuke by the president who blasted him for recusing himself from the russia investigation. but sessions says he loves his job and plans to continue doing it as long as appropriate. despite the criticism, the white house says the president still has confidence in sessions. and one more note, as senators continue to investigate russia and possible collusion, the chair of the senate judiciary committee says they will be

subpoenaed if they do not cooperate. jared kushner has agreed to speak to the senate intelligence committee on monday. breaking overnight, a deadly earthquake striking the kohl's of turkey and parts of groois. the greek island has been hit hardest, two people have been confirmed dead and more than 100 injured. dozens now spending the night in the streets. a small tsunami has also been reported. the streets of venezuela's capital city were eerily quiet for much of the gay, shut down -- day, shut down. demonstrators clashing with police, leaving at least two people dead. the president's constitutional re-write would create an authoritarian-style state. the u.s. has threaten the maduro with possible economic sanction if he goes through with his plan. two tornados touching down in western new york, south of

>> all this amid new reports that the president's lawyers are working to undercut the investigation by looking for conflicts of interest among mueller's investigators. here's abc's megan hughes. >> you will not resign? >> reporter: questions swirling about whether the nation's top cop, jeff sessions will be stepping down after this from trump to the "new york times." >> how do you take a job and then recuse yourself. if he would have recused himself before the job i would have said thank, jeff, but i'm not going to take you. >> reporter: attorney general sessions shaking off questions for now. >> we love this job, we love this department, and i plan to ten to do so as long as that is appropriate. >> reporter: in addition to sessions, president trump slamming rod rosenstein, james comey, andrew mccabe and special prosecutor robert mueller, the man tasked with investigating

russia and possible collusion with the trump campaign. sources saying it is rife with conflicts. and investigators could kosross red line. >> is that a red line? >> i would say yes. >> reporter: democrats quick to accuse president trump of overreach. >> the president can't start drawing red lines. mueller has a right to investigate this. he reports to the justice department and not to the president of the united states. >> what we're seeing is obstruction of justice. criminal intent unfolding almost as a textbook case right before our eyes. >> reporter: the congressional investigation also heating up. the senate intelligence committee will interview jared kushner in private monday. donald trump jr. and former trump campaign manager, paul manafort have been asked to testify next wednesday. >> they don't voluntarily come, they'll be subpoenaed. >> reporter: the president didn't rule out firing prosecutor mueller. democrats say that would provoke a firestorm of outrage.

it could result in congress renewing a law designed to protect independent counsel. kendis, erielle? the government has ordered exxonmobil to pay a fine for violating sanctions on russia. they are accused of disregarding the sanctions in 2014 when rex tillerson was the ceo. they signed eight contracts with a russian oil executive who was black listed following the annexation of crimea. exxon, which is worth nearly $400 billion is challenging the fine. senator john mccain, recently diagnosed with brain cancer has a message for supporters. in a tweet he expressed appreciation for the support. he promised his sparring partners in congress, though, that he will be back soon, so stand by. despite the news, mccain not skipping a beat, issuing a statement criticizing the trump administration for ending a program aiding the syrian opposition.

he also had a message for his good friend and fellow senator, lindsey graham. >> how's his spirit? how is his mood when you talked to him? >> well, it was better than mine. he has called me three times this morning. no more woe is me, lindsey. he is yelling at me to buck up. so i'm going to buck up. >> buck up, senator graham. mccain's tumor has been removed. but doctors say there is a chance it could return. it's the same form of tumor that killed ted kennedy and joe biden's son beau. doctors saying, though, that mccain's underlying health is otherwise good. for the first time in nine years, o.j. simpson is waking up this morning that he will be a free man in october. >> simpson appeared before a nevada state parole board insisting that he has been a model prisoner, never getting into any trouble. >> the vote was unanimous by the board by one of the members warned simpson about his life

after prison, that he will be watched. and he will have to follow all the rules. >> some of the conditions can be as simple as not drinking alcohol to excess, associating with felons, leaving the state without permission, being subject to search and seizure. so there's a whole slew of conditions you have to follow. do you think you can be successful with the conditions of parole? >> i haven't drank in nine years, i won't have a problem.
