philadelphia struck by two vehicles as he was thrown from his motorcycle. >> family members say, cooper who worked for the philadelphia fire department was an avid motorcycle rider. sunday night he was riding his wife's suzuki gsx in christiana delaware under the sr1 flyover ramp. suddenly he lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway. the drivers did not stop to render aid, something incomprehensive to his widow, a registered nurse. >> it's uncomprehensive i believable tothink there were pe world that day. i care for everybody. there has to be front end damage on their vehicles. >> witnesses describe the

police firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene. >> a pedestrian was killed this afternoon. it happened as a man was trying to cross harvest avenue just before 3:00 p.m. paramedicsrushed him to the hospital but he did not survive. the driver of the car stayed at the scene. three gang members will serve lengthy prison sentences. john bristo got two life terms in prison plus 35 years. an 18-year-old and 17-year-old pled guilty to murder in february. bristo got a 15 year sentence. a drug dealer from mercer county new jersey pled guilty to causing the death of one of his buyers. he sold fentanyl to a

25-year-old who overdosed. he will receive five years when sentenced in september. >> new jersey is the third state to raise the legal smoking age to 21. governor christie raised the age from 19. governor christie vetoed a similar measure last year. while signing the measure today he cited a strang strain on thee healthcare system caused by tobacco related illnesses. >> combining a sugary drink with a high protein meal could make the body store more fat. there was an 8% decline in fat burning with the combination compared to those that skip the sugary filled drink. they found that sweet beverages increase cravings for salty foods up to four hours after the
