accuweather seven-day forecast. guys? >> we begin with breaking news in montgomery county. prosecutors announced a homicide investigation into hatfield township. looking into the death of a 31-year-old man found on east orvilla road. officers made the discovery before midnight. police did not say how the victim died. his identity is being withheld pending the notification of his family. now to developing news in cheltenham township an early-morning house fire has turned deadly. an elderly couple was found inside a home that quickly went up in flames. >> bob brooks is live in elkins park with the details. bob, a heartbreaking story here. >> reporter: nydia and gray so tragic the couple that passed away, they were both 98 years old, roy and helen finestone. their home caught fire this

morning. the investigation is underway to see what happened, i can tell you that the roof collapsed and the couple was trapped inside. by the time crews got to the scene of the 600 block of spring avenue it was too late, the roof collapsed. the couple inside wouldn't make it out. they passed away a husband an wife that almost lived 100 years old. the family confirms the victims are roy and helen finestone 98 years old. firefighters say smoke detecters were inside, but not sure if they were functional. >> please check your smoke detecters to make sure they are working and operational so we don't have another incident like this occur. >> reporter: a neighbor said it didn't take long before flames started shooting out of the home. >> hear the crackling and popping, you can see the fire on the tree it was intense.

>> reporter: roy was a world war ii veteran in the navy. he was sent to the south pacific. when he came home he became an accountant. their mom helped occupant at the office with -- helped out at the office with roy and was a terrific woman and made a home cooked meal every night. no word on a cause, they are working to sure up the home to go inside, the victims, roy and helen finestone 98 years old. bob be channel 6 "action news." >> our throughout are with the family today, bob thank you. we're following news out of san antonio texas 8 people were found dead inside a boiling hot tractor-trailer parked outside a walmart. 30 were found inside the truck many in critical condition at this hour. >> we got a call from an

walmart employee to get a check on the tractor-trailer parked in the lot. he was approached by someone in the truck asking for water. he came back with the water and called police. we arrived on scene and found 8 people dead in the back of the trailer. >> the driver of the truck is now in custody. authorities are investigating this as a possibly humidity trafficking offense. right now at noon, one man is dead and there is information about the car that was involved in the hit-and-run on the schuylkill expressway that caused his death. the 30-year-old victim was hit and killed on the eastbound side of the expressway at the montgomery drive off ramp at 10:30. police say the driver never stopped. we're told that the striking vehicle is a late model dark colored vehicle with damage to the front passenger side and the windshield. if you have information about this call pennsylvania state police. gun violence ripped through a north philadelphia

neighborhood overnight leaving a man dead and another hospitalized. the action cam was at the scene on the 700 block of east russell street. they were called at 2:30 a.m. both scrims were driven to the hospital by private car. one was pronounced dead at the hospital. the other is in very critical condition. in chester, delaware county an 11-year-old boy is alive and in stable condition after a stray bullet went through the walls of his house and hit him in the chest. it was on the 400 block of township line road. he is hospitalized in stage condition. police have no suspects in the shooting. it has been a week since a neighbor shot and killed a couple in the frankford section of philadelphia. last night at a vigil the woman 's son pleaded for an arrest. friends and family of bob depaul and august dempsey gathered outside the shooter's home.

he said he killed the couple following an argument. dempsey's son asked for prayers and asked for justice to be done. >> my mom would never climb a fence, she would never provoke violence because she would have to make it home to me and my brother. beyond why he is in his house. the district attorney's office declined to tell "action news" if they would file charges in the case. the investigation into the russian meddling into last year's election. >> in one of many tweets sent yesterday morning, while all agree the u.s. president has the power to pardon why think of that when the only crime so far is leaks against us. fake news. there are reports that president has inquired about the authority

mostly cloudy conditions this afternoon it is extremely humid. the little bit of relief that gray is talking about is the fact that temperatures should day below 90 degrees. the dewpoint temperature once again, most locations are well up in the 70s. dover, 86. i'm not sure if that's the correct reading. everybody else that's the general idea. millville, 75. wilmington, 72. lancaster, 73. philadelphia, 71 and you can see where we scale that, that's at the top of the scale what we call oppressive. unfortunately these levels will not be dropping off anytime soon. it's not until tomorrow evening when we see the numbers drop into the low 60s which will feel better than what we've been dealing with. complex of showers and thunderstorms appears to be fizzling out, which is fantastic news, but a lot of forecast modeling suggests as the heating of the day gets going it will

city. shots were fired, when officers got to the scene they found the victim lying on the ground. he was shot repeatedly. the man was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition. the last of the four young men murdered in bucks county has been laid to rest. friend and family gathered for dean finocchiaro's funeral in levittown. a talked about working with him at richmond's ice cream company in levittown. >> he with a was an awesome young kid. he always made me laugh. >> reporter: it was the last of the four young men found buried on the farm in solbury township. cosmo dinardo confessed to shooting and killing all four men during drug deals. we're learn being a house fire investigation that appears to be a murder. at first it looked like the wife of a louisiana fire chief died
