the second day in a row. today temperatures cooled off a little bit bringing an end to the heat wave, but the storm which did damage yesterday, could fire up, yet again this evening. meteorology goodies melissa magee is here with the first check of the accu weather forecast, melissa. >> we have a repeat performance from mother nature this morning, we have severe showers and storms, earlier today and severe thunderstorm warning, expired for the region and you can see act it bubbling up again. here's storm tracker six showers along that i-95 corridor and coastal sections of new jersey. we will go in tighter on street level with storm track er six. you can see showers, storms, long i-95 corridor just to the west of philadelphia and south of malvern, press nothing to wilmington, at this hour, also between wilmington and middletown in new castle count own state route one and those showers long garden state parkway from mays landing over in atlantic city and also to the east of fortecoup.

inside of his home, neighbors say they are afraid for themselves, and for their kid. >> it is just frightening. just my heart sunk thinking bit. i didn't know it was our little neighbor. i didn't know. he comes here every day, and plays. >> reporter: people were heart broke tone hear that their 11 year-old neighbor was struck by a bullet last night. police were called to the 3400 block of township line road, just before 10:00 p.m. for a report of a shooting. when they arrived they found an 11 year-old boy with the gunshot wound to the chest. police say he was inside of his house when a stray bullet entered the home through back screen door striking the boy. he was taken to crozer-chester medical center in stable condition, and then transferred to chop. neighbors say that the boy played with the kid outside all the time and they were shocked to find out that he was had victim. >> very sad. we pray to god that is you know, he pulls through and everything will be fine. >> reporter: now that last

neighbor who didn't want to be shown on camera said she has lived here in chester for 39 years and because of this incident, she is ready to move detectives are still looking for the shooter, if you have any information, you are asked to cat chester police. we're live from chester, trish hartman for channel six "action news", sarah. >> trish, thank you. police made an arrest in another shooting in chester yesterday that left a man dead investigators say, miguel more no shot 23 year-old te shawn mall malloy, killing him. it happened just before 5:00 at thomas and terrell street. thinks 20th homicide of the year in the city of chester. police in montgomery county are investigating a homicide in hatfield township. it happened last night just before midnight on east orovillea road, officers were called to the home for a report of the shooting, and they found a about 31 year-old man dead. investigators say shooting was a result of the disturbance and person who shot him remained at the scene. but there is no word on whether any charges have been

filed. also, in montgomery county , a tragic end for a couple who lived to be almost 100 years old. they died this morning when fire broke out in their elkins park home. "action news" reporter bob brooks, has the details from this scene. report report by the time crew s got to the scene in the 600 block of spring avenue it was just too late. roof had collapsed, couple inside, would not make it out. they passed away and now we have learn that they are a husband and wife who almost lived to be 100 years old, the family confirms the victims are roy and helen finestone, both 98 years old. fire officials say that the call to findstone home came in at 4:45 this morning. they say smoke detectors were inside but weren't sure if they were functional. message from the deputy fire marshall to the residents in the area. >> please check your smoke detectors to make sure they are working and operational, so we do not have another incident like this one. >> reporter: neighbor say it didn't take long before the flames started to shoot-out of the home. >> near the crackling and

popping, and, you know, intensity you could see the fire on the tree, in terms of the reflection, so it was pretty intense. >> reporter: fire officials say roof there did collapse and the couple was trapped inside, the children tell us because of their age they did have a mobility issue but we are not sure how that affect their chances of getting out. but according to their children roy was a world war two veteran in the navy. he was sent to the south pacific. they say when he came back home he became an accountant and cpa and opened up his own practice children say their mom helen helped out at the office with roy and was an absolutely terrific mother raising them. they say she made a home cooked meal for them every night. >> so or toy see this happen again, at this point in, word on a cause, they are still working to sure up this home so they can go inside but again, couple that passed away 98 year-old roy abe helen fine stone. we're reporting from elkins park, bob brooks, channel six, "action news". philadelphia police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a man on the

schuylkill expressway late last night. it happened around 10:30 p.m. on the montgomery drive exit lanes. victim has been identified as 30 year-old sean patrick ranger whose last known address was in berks county. he was pronounced dead at the scene. the police are looking for a dark colored nissan which will have damage to the front passenger side. if you have any information, cat pennsylvania state police. the action cam is in middletown township this morning, a taco truck was involved in a crash, it shut don't roadway this happened on route 452 just south of route one where a trailer hauling a taco truck, overturned and then made a mess on the highway. road had to be shut down while crews cleaned up and then righted the trailer, no one was injured. a group of concerned homeowners wants to stop the construction of the convenient store and gas station in their philadelphia neighborhood. protesters were out in lawn dale today armed with picket signs and clipboard, they are hoping to get enough support to convince zoning board to

a human trafficking operation was discovered in san antonio, texas overnight. a wal-mart employee called police after a disoriented man approached him. that call led police to a tractor trailer in the parking lot. officers found nine people, dead and dozens more were in need of medical attention. they are conditioning was not working so everyone was removed. we utilized helicopters, to fly patients out. we utilized at least seven area hospitals to transport these people out. >> officials looked at the store's surveillance which shows some of the people from the rig being picked up by other drivers, and the driver of that truck has been taken into custody. world news sunday will have much more on the investigation into the deaths, coming up at 6:30 right here after "action news". the people of the bucks county continue to show their support for the families of
