custody. wednesday night, jim's off. i'm rick williams and the big story is the arrest in this attack. annie mccormick has details. >> rick, septa police do confirm that the man caught on video did surrender today to southwest detectives with his attorney. septa police confirming to "action news" that the police sergeant positively identified him. this is the body camera we are talking about. the bodiy camera caught him viciously shoving her to the ground as he ran up to the steps. she was taken to hospital and suffered head and back injuries. surveillance video caught her attacker. police say it happened monday night at 7:3 7:30 at the angora

station in southwest philadelphia. yesterday police made a plea spedding the video on social media. >> we have affirmation out there. getting people to look for that person played a big role. i want to thank the public. without them, we wouldn't be able to do our jobs. >> according to septa police, charges are pending tonight. originally they wanted the person caught on the body cam image to face charges but they were upgraded to assault on a police officer. they are pending. we are told the sergeant is recovering at home. reporting live, annie mccormick, "action news." back to you. >> wilmington police are looking for the suspect that shot two teenagers tonight about two hours ago. this is the scene on north madison street where a boy and girl in their late teens were shot. no word on the extent of the injuries.

police are looking for a black colored vehicle in connection with the shooting. plenty of questions after president trump's sudden policy change banning transgender people from serving in the military. in a series of tweets today the president announced that members of the transgender community would no longer be able to serve in the military in any capacity. estimates are 1,600 currently listed troops. the president is not saying what will happen to them. sarah sanders is unable to say how the policy will be implemented. christie ileto is live in the satellite center with local reaction after speaking with people in the transgender community here. >> rick, we don't know what this means for active duty members. a national guard person here is more than unsettled. coming up on 19 years of

repeal obama care without a plan to replace it. the vote wasn't close, 55 to 75 as republicans joined with democrats to defeat the plan. this has led to bickering among the g.o.p. ranks. next is the skinny repeal which would repeal the key areas of obama care. it's unclear if that has enough support. back here, prosecutors are blaming a 29-year-old man for a patient's overdose inside the hospital. they say travis siuta sold drugs to the woman at her bedside multiple times. he was seen on surveillance at einstein medical center five separate days. district attorney kevin steele says this is the fourth arrest this year of drug delivery cases

resulting in death a felony punishable up to 40 years in prison. a widow wants answers tonight. her husband was shot to death at a party they were at in montgomery county. no one knows who did it or why. >> dann cuellar joins us from the district attorney office in norristown. >> though there was a houseful of people, this remains a mystery. it's an active investigation, but no one has been charged. meanwhile, the victim's family wants answers. >> i don't know what's going on. i need someone's help, please. >> a widow surrounded by her six children say it's been five days since her husband jeremy cha chasstein was kill add no one

knows why. the chassteins were at the home of their friends for a barbeque. later her husband wanted to leave but she was concerned because he was drinking. >> he was going to drive intoxicated. i told him no. >> she got out of the car and went back in the cosby house. he said come on and they surrounded him and i heard a loud gun pop and i turned around and everyone was running. her husband was dead on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head. who shot him was a mystery. we went by the cosby home but no answer. the family won't rest until someone is charged. someone needs to come forward. someone knows who shot my son-in-law in the head for no reason at all. someone at that party knows the killer.

letter for you" painted on the side of the row home. 15 beaches at the jersey shore are closed to swimmers because of bacteria in the water. environmentists say the conditions are due to storm drain runoff from heavy rain. health officials say the contamination could make you sick to your stomach or lead to ear or eye infections. testing will continue until the bacteria count drops to acceptable levels. >> the chester water authority says it's due to an underground water main break and some mills have lost water service as a result. >> meanwhile water service is back on for shaw street in northeast philadelphia after an eight inch water main broke yesterday partially flooding the

>> we are following breaking news out of ohio tonight. at least one person is dead, several others hospitalized after an aamusement park ride malfunctioned on opening night in columbus. this is video aboard the fire ball ride. one of the large arms struck the ground and broke off throwing riders into the air and on to the pavement. five are listed in critical condition. the governor ordered all rides to be shut down until additional safety inspections can be completed. >> this is a video diary of three inmates documenting their escape from california's orange county jail. adam lent his voice to the video showing they had all of their supplies to escape. >> as far as set up, we had a

did you havduffel bag full of s. they used a cellphone showing how they used tools to climb the wall build a rope and escape. the escape was in 2016 but the video was recently released by an attorney connected to the case. your summer travel plans could be more complicated at the airport. homeland security is requiring more screenings, passengers will be required to remove all electronics bigger than a cellphone to be put in their own bid. this includes cameras and other traveling devices. they have tested this at ten airports and believe this will not increase lines since fewer bags need to be pulled for screening.

this will roll out nationwide in the coming weeks and months. >> house majority whip steve scalise is home from the hospital after being shot last month. the six term republican was discharged today and begins rehab at another facility. scalise and four others were wounded june 16th when a gunman opened fire on a baseball practice in virginia. the bullet tore into several internal organ returned fire killing the gunman. >> in the governor's race, phil murphey introduced his mate, sheila oliver will serve as lieutenant governor if they win. oliver was the only black woman to serve as speaker. >> from our delaware news room, fantasy sports sites are getting
