hit-and-run overnight. police were called to broad and lumbard at 2:30 a.m., they found a man who suffered cuts and bruises and head injury. an alert officer came upon the vehicle that was allegedly involved at 13th and catherine street the driver is facing numerous charges. police are working to see if the man shot and killed this weekend was the victim of a targeted attack. investigators release surveillance pictures of a man they say is wanted in connection with the crime. annie mccormick has the details. >> reporter: new images captured on surveillance video the moments after a deadly shooting. a pizza shop surveillance camera caught these photos. investigators want information from this man running northbound up haverford road toward wynnewood. the victim was found shot in the 2300 block of haverford road.

>> the victim was laying on in the doorway of the apartment buildings. his friend was doing medical cpr and trying to help him. medics arrival and took him to the hospital. a short time later he was pronounced dead. >> reporter: a neighbor said she heard shots. >> she was walking the dog up at the corner. she heard bang bang. >> reporter: haverford police and the delaware county district attorney's office are investigating. they towed a vehicle from the scene. the victim's friend said the victim was coming from playing tennis. police have video of the victim leaving the pizza shop after picking up an order. this man was walking ahead of him. the pizza shop was half a block from the crime scene. investigators don't know what happened after the two walked out of the shop. the next time they see the man with the red hoodie is on camera

sunday morning. take a look at the numbers across the region. rainfall totals during the month of july. atlantic city over ten inches of rain. that's at the airport. egg harbor picked up 8 inches of rain alone. reading 8-point are 45. allentown, 8 inches of rain. wilmington, 6.75. philadelphia, 5.35. atlantic city that's 2 1/2 times the normal rain you should be seeing. unusual amount of rain. now we'll dry out. high pressure builds in from the northwest. the winds blow around clockwise fashion. everybody is drying out. you can see the moisture kind of wrapping in around that area of high pressure. that will set up shop for the next several days. take a look at this, the next chance of measurable rain is not until friday that's in the form. thunderstorms.

hampshire is honored for his quick thinking after his family home caught on fire. he was home with his dad an siblings last sunday. his father cut his grass and put the lawnmower back into the home attached to the barn. he noticed flames shooting from the barn. he told his son to call 911. harrison did just that and more and grabbed his baby sister and carried her to an oak tree in the front yard. >> he has her in one hand and the phone in the other and chatting to 9 tree was a designd meeting spot in the family's fire safety plan once they practiced a few weeks ago. the fire destroyed the family home, but they say they will rebuild.

after weekend storms. they blame the controversial dune project. the beaches in margate were shut down earlier this summer so crews could repair and replenish the dunes. storms flooded the homes. some claim the sea wall built in the 19 ho has done a better job protecting the beachfront properties from flooding and storms. parts of atlantic city and wildwood got up to five inches of rain yesterday. high winds and driving rains submerged streets. park avenue and 26th street looked like a small lake. some cars were stalled out in the high water. a woman in delaware is accused of stealing $28,000 from a high school lacrosse team booster club. stephanie trimmer, the president of the booster club is charged with theft. delaware state police say she began stealing in february of
