this noon. president trump's new chief of staff is already dealing with a new bombshell alligation on his first day on the job. and the mayor is expected to be in federal court on allegations of corruption charges. "action news" has learn that police are closer for the man wanted for the deadly shooting and recovered his vehicle in south philadelphia. >> reporter: well sara, the search for the man behind the haverford township murder over the weekend is intensifying. we are waiting for detectives and others to come out with the latest information. the big news when it comes to this man they are searching for. as we understand they are waiting for a judge to sign a warn for the man wanted in connection for an incident in overbrook. take a look at this video, this is a man expected in the

haverford township murder from saturday. before we get to the details, the video here is police detectives. they recovered the vehicle of the man wanted in connection with john lee's murder. you see a tow truck take ago way a silvero. we are waiting for police to come out and speak. as for the incident in overbrook. 45 minutes before john lee was killed there was a shooting in overbrook park and philadelphia police are looking to see if the shooting is connected to the murder in haverford township. we know that when police released the photo saturday night. residents in philadelphia's overbrook park neighborhood and took notice and told police they did in fact recognize the man in the surveillance video and images released over the

sunglasses you see the lack of cloud cover and a pop-up shower trying to form near the poconos, that is the best chance of seeing anything like that. later today it's possible we see more clouds winging in but generally speaking it's another bright and warm day. 87 degrees in trenton, philadelphia, wilmington and also down in millville and dover. allentown 84 degrees 85 in reading, beach haven 88 degrees and the humidity is up today. we have dew points instead of the 50s like yesterday into the mid-60s. not oppressive but on the sticky side. a high of 91 today at 3:00 and then still close to that at 4:00. by 6:00 we dip to 84 and there is a good drop in numbers and down to 77. but still on the humid side. and a word to the wise if you plan on seeking relief at the pool. it's mostly sunny and humid, good pool weather.

and potential candidates can bring resumes to allentown, pennsylvania and rio grande in new jersey. the hiring event runs from noon until 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. the company is specifically looking for store associates and shift managers. >> we are still a month away from the labor day weekend and some retailers are thinking about their thanksgiving day hours. game stop has announced its stores will stay open on the holiday this year. the decision breaks with the three year policy stays closed out of respect for their employees and customers, but many have requested thanksgiving hours. the mediterranean diet is long promoted as a way to lessen heart problems but only works for certain people. researchers in italy picked people at random and found that it only stopped the disease for

david is back with another check of the accuweather forecast. steamy out there again. getting more humid and hotter this afternoon. stormtracker 6 live double scan right now we are dry across the region, as we take a look outside plenty of sunshine on sky 6 hd looking down toward 30th street station and the old post office, and that new apartment complex. i have to learn the name of that one but it's cool looking.

the schuylkill river too. and unfortunately it's not the most comfortable day outside. the dew point dipped to 61, mid-60s and oppressively humid but more humid than yesterday. winds running south-southeast at 6 miles per hour. 87's on the i-95 corridor. wilmington, trend and dover, millville. up to the north and west. similar numbers, 84 in allentown and 85 in reading and down the shore in cape may. probably adding a few more degrees to the temperature. as you look at dew points, the nominally 61 in philadelphia. you don't have to go outside the city to get the numbers and philadelphia can also experience dew points in the mid-60s, even upper 60s to the west and farther down to the south the 70s is where the pro pressive

humidity resides. future tracker 6 picking up the afternoon story every now and then the model wants to put a blip of precipitation around and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm and don't be surprised to see something briefly and bright in places closer to allentown and reading and bucks and montco. up in allentown clouds today and mixing with sun and more humid with a hot high of 90 degrees. down the shore not a bad day. rip current risk is low since before the weekend and we have high temperatures in the low to mid-80s down through cape may and down through our delaware beaches and there is that warm ocean water off atlantic city and off the mouth of the delaware bay as well. a little more humid down the shore as well. a high of 91 sun mixing with clouds and stickier and oppressively humid and on the humid side and winds turning north and they are light. partly cloudy and warm and humid

and 74 is your overnight low tonight. tomorrow it still hot and on the sticky side. probably not oppressively humid but humid. and a better chance tomorrow past noon through the afternoon a little better chance of a pop-up shower here or there. the best chance of that is allentown and reading and the northern and western suburbs. and the model suggests close toward philadelphia and south of 95. more humid tomorrow and hot and humid and a chance of a pop-up shower around and all to your northwest and philadelphia could stay dry as with well. the farther northwest the better chance of a stray storm. 91 on thursday and if you get the three 90 or better day you'll be looking at the sixth heat wave of the season. wow right. there is a lot of them but this one does not last that long. close to 90 on friday and a thunderstorm popping up there.

at 12:30 now. breaking news philadelphia police say they recovered the vehicle of a man in a shooting and possibly a murder in delaware county. construction equipment was clearing away the filth in kensington and the team university is being taken to governor tom wolf's office in philadelphia. we begin with breaking news out of delaware county where police say they believe they found the car that belongs to a man suspected of murder in haverford township. they recovered the vehicle in west philadelphia. the suspect was captured on surveillance video after the crime saturday night. 29-year-old john lee was shot and killed at an apartment complex on the 2300 block of haverford road. there is a $5,000 reward being offered in the case and we'll continue to follow the story throughout the day. heavy machinery
