skyscrapers, let's go over to chris sowers with the details on what to expect for accuweather for the weekend, chris, is the rain gone or hovering around? >> reporter: not quite yet. we have showers and downpours east of the city of philadelphia, a lot of this is rapidly pushing east. ocean and monmouth counties we had rainfall rates two inches an hour at one point. this is pushing out to sea. what we have are a couple of residual showers and patchy drizzle west of philadelphia. that's all she wrote, things will cool down. the dewpoints will drop off, the humidity row lackses a little bit. it -- relaxes a little bit. it should be a nice afternoon around the delaware and lehigh valleys. here's belmawr, lakewood, great adventure, from that point south leftover showers, southeast of browns mills, every now and then you pick up a leftover downpour.

at least ten shots along 4th and walnut in colwyn before 11:00 p.m. the victims all men between the ages of 18 and 23 were standing on the corner when the shots were fired. as we mentioned two victims were killed. the third victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. a man has died after being hit and trapped under a beneath a car. a crowd of emergency crews tried to rescue the man. but the efforts to save him failed. the victim was 36 years old. authorities are investigating what caused the crash. for the second time in a week a philadelphia police officer is in the process of being fired. >> james yeager's use of force against a man already in handcuffs is under investigation. "action news" reporter, dann cuellar has the video of the incident that led to the officer's dismissal. >> reporter: the incident in the

200 block of the street provoked all sorts of public outcry until video surfaced. it shows an officer during an narcotics investigation, he was resisting arrest. a video showed this seconds later. an officer appearing to slam the handcuffed suspect into the pavement. he picked him up and swinging him awrnldz causing him to -- causing him to strike his head against a swimming pool. the homeless man was taken to temple hospital in critical condition. >> he almost killed that boy. the boy was not moving, he was handcuffed, they were beating him with a baton, there were three of them, it was horrible. >> reporter: the officer has been identified as 26 years old james yeager of the 24th district. the union defended the officer saying the 3 minute video clip didn't paint the full picture.

philadelphia bank. we received surveillance images of the robber whose face was mostly covered. they robbed the bank on west lee high avenue around 2:40 p.m. 5'1" to 5'3". with dark brown eyes, wearing a navy blue print dress and black and white sneakers. attorney general jeff sessions has vowed to stop the leaks. he said the culture of leaking must stop. the last draw came when a full transcript of president trump's phone calls with leaders of mexico and australia were published in the washington post. president trump is now at his golf club in bedminster, new jersey, where's on a 17dy -- 17

professor and university worker wanted for murder in chicago is over.

windham latham enan crew -- and andrew warren turned themselves into police. it is believed latham was in a rip were the victim. it took a jury five days to convict him on three of 8 counts. he called that a victory, after the verdict he live streamed from his home and sent this defiant message. >> i'm one of the richest new yorkers there is an after today's outcome it will stay that way. >> his convictions could carry years in prison, but experts say he may get none since his actions caused no financial harm to his investors.

clouds. a lot of leftover moisture hear. it's very humid once again this morning, the humidity leaves will be calming down a little bit later on. satellite and radar behind me, there it is, the little line that stretches through south jersey, as i speak here, behind it we're cooling down, we have cooler drier air working in from canada, that will bring about a nice pattern change for us, a much-needed pattern change after all the heat and humidity we've been dealing with. let's zoom into extreme southern oaks county and atlantic county, oceanville north of atlantic city we have one remaining downpour if you're traveling along route 322 and you take the exit off to route 50 south in mays landing. in between mays landing and tuckahoe you may see a quick downpour. once that pulls away, that's about it. clouds will pull away and conditions will improve here over the next couple of hours. temperature-wise you can see the difference off to the west here. we have numbers in the 50s in

6:24 a.m., saturday morning, temperatures over the last few days, we didn't officially hit a heat wave, you kneed three days of 90 degrees. we fell short a of that. wednesday, 89. thursday, 87. friday, 88. today we're forecasting a high of 83. this cold front right here is slicing the state of pennsylvania in half. it's part of the reason why we're seeing the showers this morning ahead of the front. that front brings the drier cooler air in this afternoon. it's only 58 degrees in pittsburgh. buffalo sitting at 60. charleston, 61. the humidity is confined to the eastern seaboard. look what happens you go farther to the west, it's muggier in l.a. than across the great lake

comfortable, low humidity and decent amount of sunshine. as that said it did not start that way. storm tracker 6 live showing the heavy weather is working out to sea. the heavy downpours, we drove into work this morning it was a straight up nightmare. i was on the schuylkill expressway and i had to drive 25 miles per hour. it was coming down in buckets. it's working out to sea and a couple of showers remain. atlantic county, east of oceanville in the barrier islands surf city, long beach township, harvey cedars. heavy drenching downpours, south through atlantic city. if you look through the west, cumberland and salem counties, maybe a leftover shower or spritz or sprinkle that's about it, along delsea drive north of millville. everything else is pulling away, we should start the clearing process soon. showers are in the process of ending now, clearing taking place by late morning.

drivers, someone threw rocks at them along kelly drive. both drivers stopped at the st. joe's boathouse. one car passenger window was shattered. the rocks were thrown at midvale avenue around 8:00 p.m. police have no suspects. police need your help finding a pair of crook who went on a spending spree with someone else' across the card. they stole a wallet from a starbucks in lansdale this happened last month. they allegedly purchased two five hundred dollars gift cards with the stolen cards at a kholss in hatfield. if you recognize them, call police. a commute to the end of philadelphia international airport will change. shuttle buses replace the trains between 0th street and the airport because track replacement needs to be

take a look at the scene, heavy monsoon rains in arizona causing massive mudslides. the flow of debris moved quickly across the dry land. those living in low areas were evacuated for several hours until the danger passed. the sinkhole that swallowed homes in florida is expanding right near tampa florida. a foot wide by 80-foot long section collapsed. crews noticing the cave-in were forced to stop their work and had to move their equipment. >> reporter: look at the size of that thing. >> back here. ♪ i can see clearly

buffalo, 55. charleston, 51. the dry air mass from canada pushing east and bumps this humidity out to sea and brings a nice refreshing change here this afternoon. you can clearly see the drier air right here, this is darker shade that's the dry air from canada on the water vapor loop. this cold front will push east over the next few hours, dries everything out this afternoon. the only thing we're watching over the next five to seven days, this disturbance here jumping off the front range of the rockies. this could produce heavy thunderstorms for us on monday. outside of that, most of the week looks all right. future tracker 6, a couple of leftover showers, quick-hitting downpour through 8:00. clouds and sunshine, this is 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, mostly sunny skies for just about everybody. overnight tonight, mainly clear, tomorrow, these are the high, thin clouds we're looking at a combination of sun and clouds, it's another very nice refreshing day. for today, 83 degrees that's it for philadelphia. the normal 87. reading, 81.
