>> a pleasant good morning to you, 7:00 a.m., saturday, august 5. christie ileto joins us this morning. here's a look at what's happening. shots fired in philadelphia county overnight. three people shot, two are dead, now the search is on for the killer. a video goes viral during an arrest, now a philadelphia police officer is losing his job. mega millions lottery jackpot grows bigger. we got to have a stormy start while thunder and lighten and rain moves across the region

while many were sleeping. live look from temple university, sky6 live hd, cloudy outside, the rain is dissipating at least. a beautiful center city skyline. the clouds continue to linger. >> stormy night, of course, not fun for many people that left an incredible mark on parts of the delaware valley. this large tree that stood 50 to 60 feet high fell in ardmore this morning. it struck the side of the saint george apartment building. the tree damaged an ac unit on the way down. meteorologist chris sowers joins us live outside with a look at the accuweather forecast. >> reporter: chris? >> reporter: good morning, guys, i'm sure if you looked outside the window you're thinking oh, no, not my saturday. don't worry this will clear out quickly, by afternoon it should be nice with clouds and sunshine, it turns less humid today and breezy and high temperatures are hanging out in the low to mid 80s.

should be a nice day. storm tracker 6 live we set it in motion for you, the heavy weather we had overnight, some areas picked up two to three inches of rain now is working out to sea. you can see from new york city east into connecticut and rhode island those areas seeing the heavy drenching downpours. all that is left in our neck of the woods is with an lone cell over lbi from harvey cedars to surf city and brighten beach. that's about it. if you're making your way on to the barrier islands on route 72. you may run into a quick hitting downpours. as you can see to the west the left-hand side of the screen. everything is drying out nicely. look at the rainfall totals we're zoomed into the lehigh valley this was over a two hour span. slatington, 3 inches. lehigh valley, 2. fleetwood a little bit more than two inches of rain here, all falling within a two hour time span. boy window we've seen our share

7:03 a.m., police in delaware county are searching for a killer involved in a triple shooting. we learned two victims are dead. police released this surveillance picture of the alleged gunman. investigators say the man fired at least ten shots along 4th and walnut in colwyn before 11:00 p.m. the victims all men between the ages of 18 and 23 were standing on the corner when the shots were fired. as we mentioned two victims were killed. the third victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. a man has died after being hit and trapped beneath a car on a kensington street. chopper 6 hd was high above east street at allegheny avenue at 10:30 p.m. usa crowd of emergency crews tried to -- as a crowd of rescue crews tried to rescue the man. it was unsuccessful. the victim was 36 years old.

dann cuellar has the video of an incident that led to a police officer's dismissal. >> reporter: the incident in the 200 block of he he elcart showsn officer trying to handcuff a man who was resisting an arrest. a second video showed in seconds later. an officer appearing to slam the handcuffed suspect into the pavement. the officer picked up the man swinging him around causing him to strike his head into the aboveground swimming pool. the homeless man was taken to temple hospital in critical condition. >> he almost killed the boy, the boy was not moving he was handcuffed, they were beating him with a baton, there were three of them, it was horrible. >> reporter: the as if she facing termination has been

identified by police as jail yeager of the 24th district. the union defended the officer saying the three minute video clip did not paint the full statement. the fop president said we look forward to seeing the entire video and support officer yeager. some say the officer deserves to be fired. >> it seems like a senseless beating. the guy was homeless and all of a sudden they have came and beat him up for no apparent reason. >> they could have handled it in a better way instead of hitting him. >> that was the best thing they could do, they need to get fired, like asap. >> they need to learn how to respect people to get respect from people. not because they police we have to respect them. you have to learn and earn respect. >> reporter: yeager has been placed on administrative leave

with intent to dismiss. it is not clear if he will face charges from the d.a.'s office. >> jeff sessions vowed to seal the leaks coming from the white house for staffers leaking sensitive government information to the press. he said the culture of leaking must stop. the last draw came when a full transcript of president trump's phone call with leaders of mexico and australia were published in the washington post. sessions said he may review guidelines for issuing subpoenas to journalists about their sours. president trump is in bedminster new jersey on a 17 day vacation called a working vacation. the white house will take advantage of the president's absence installing a new heating encooling system in the west -- and cool system in the west wing of white house. future presidents will be flying on new air force 1 jets.

temperature, 70 it feels lousy, 60s is humid, 50s is comfortable. pittsburgh, 51. buffalo, 56. out across here, the southern great lake states the northern portion of the ohio valley, the dewpoints have dropped into the 40s, some real comfortable air waiting in the wings. air temperature, 59 in pittsburgh. that's not bad for august. buffalo, 59. 70s along the eastern seaboard. all this hot humid air gets shoved out to sea. this comfortable air mass moves in this afternoon. open up the windows and turn off the air-conditioning and allow the fresh air in overnight tonight. satellite and radar a little bit of cloud cover held behind here. this will clear in the next five or six hours or so, later this afternoon it looks nice. future tracker 6 confirming that, 10:00 a.m., it has the western suburbs starting to clear at that point. clouds across south jersey and the jersey shore, 3:00 p.m., it's full sun for everybody.

expressway eastbound in this area down to one lane. >> all right, the rain is moving out, but some of the problems are lingering, meteorologist chris sowers outside now with a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. a lot of rain this morning, are we done with it chris? >> reporter: we have a couple of leftover showers in portions of south jersey, outside of that, we're done. no further warnings from the national weather service, but we had drenching downpours early on. we're seeing flooding with the smaller creeks and streams are getting close to spilling over their banks here. the good news the heavy rains have stopped. they are off the coast at this point. we have the lighter shades of green over philadelphia and trenton. that represents patchy drizzle or missing taking place. we'll paycheck a zoom into cumberland county near buena and richland and southeast into mays landing.

showers end. the skies will brighten up. as i look to the west i'm starting to see peeks of sunshine. clearing conditions over the next few hours, becoming breezy as the front pulls through, the drier air will lower the humidity. it will feel fantastic by 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., this afternoon, the dewpoints are dropping all the way down into the 50s later on and 40 overnight tonight. that is very dry, bone-dry air. heading into the lehigh valley, musikfest, chicago is headliner tonight on the sands steel stage. they take the stage around 7:30 p.m. clear skies by then. 8:00 p.m., temperature, 70. 10:00 p.m., 66. by 11:00 p.m., 64 degrees, the breeze will pick up, you may need something with sleeves later on up. that's a check of the forecast for now, i'll be back in just a few minutes of course we have heavy drenching thunderstorms on the horizon for monday.

i'll check that out on future tracker 6 and have the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> thank you so much. 7:33 a.m. for the second night in a row, a motorcyclist was killed object kelly drive. chopper 6 hd above the drive fountain green fairmont park. the biker collided with the car 10:00 p.m. the victim a man in his 30s was taken to hanheman hospital where he was pronounced dead. police are trying to figure out what caused the collision. gunfire in trenton critically injurying a man. the victim was shot multiple times he was rushed to the hospital in grave condition. there's no word on who shot the man or why. >> the search is on for a fire bug believed to be setting blazes at a center city highrise. officials say there was another fire at the sterling apartments on jfk boulevard thursday.

it's the 7ing fire in the highrise in the past two weeks. >> midnight the alarm went off, you can't take the elevator, you have to take 18 flights down and back up. >> federal investigators believe the fire bug is somebody who lives at the sterling. >> we believe it is somebody from within the building. >> officials don't think the fire starter is trying to burn down the building, but cause a nuisance for the owner. scary moments for drivers who they say someone threw rocks at them. both drivers stopped at the st. joe's boathouse and called police. one car passenger window was shattered. both drivers say the rocks were thrown at midvale avenue at 8:00 p.m. police have no suspects. police in montgomery say they need your help to find a pair of crook who allegedly went on a spending spree with someone's credit card.

investigators believe the couple stole a wallet from a starbucks in lansdale last month. they allegedly purchased two 500-dollar gift cards with the stolen car at a khols in hatfield. if you recognize the couple call police. happening today, the commute to and from philadelphia international airport will change for septa regional remain riders. shuttle busing will replace the ride because of track replacement that needs to be completed. septa key quick trip purchases from the airport terminal prior to boarding will be accepted for travel on the shuttle buses. cafer wilmington hsm oasm karentney will take over as

mudslides yesterday afternoon. the flow of muddy debris moved quickly across the dry land. those living in low-lying areas were vacted for several -- were evacuated for several hours until the danger passed. neighbors in florida who experienced the the sinkhole is getting bigger. a foot wide by 80-foot long section of the sinkhole collapsed. cleanup crews noticed the cave in and were forced to stop and move their equipment. a michigan couple said it was completely silent when a violent gust of wind swept past their home and toppled a massive tree in their yard and knock out the power. they call the sudden and unexpected event a micro burst near erie.

time to get you caught up on our weather. wild weather. >> reporter: we've had micro bursts here sometimes the damage with those is equally as bad as that seen with a tornado. we have a lot of leftover clouds from the drenching downpours this morning. we are expecting the clouds to break over the next few hours, it will be less humid, the breeze will pick up, it will be a delightful afternoon, very comfortable for a change dewpoints down in the 50s later on. storm tracker 6 live shows a couple of showers mainly east of the delaware river hear, this is actually atlantic county we're zoomed into buena and richland, route 322 right there, if you're traveling southbound toward atlantic city, you'll encounter a downpour on white horse pike, north of egg harbor, this is an area that picked up ten inch of rain. if you're traveling in the viewing area over the next 20
