news. from philadelphia international airport. ten people have been taken to local hospitals. after an inbound plane encountered severe turbulence flying over the atlantic ocean. reporter trish heartman joins us from the airport with details. trish? >> reporter: three passengers and seven crew members of that american airlines flight were taken to area hospitals after they hit the extreme turbulence in the air, we're learning new details about that harrowing experience, from some passengers. >> 30 minutes out, they're giving us drinks the flight attendants were last couple row, the flight attendant to prepare the seats and they didn't even have time to -- it started shake and took a big drop, babies scream, people hitting the ceiling >> faa officials say flight 759 landed safely around 3:10 this afternoon after experiencing severe turbulence over the north

atlantic ocean. one of the passengers jessica huseman is a reporter pro pub la and tweeted detail >> a flight attendant dislocated his shoulder. she continued passengers are injured. we all used our blankets to mop the ceiling of the plane down after drinks went flying, no warning, plane lunched through the air, honestly terrifying, she tweeted pictures showing the ceiling and lights covering in liquid. she said this happened about 30 minutes before landing, a total of 287 passengers were on board and 12 crew members. seven crew members were sent to the hospital along with three passengers. an airline representative said the seatbelt light was on at the time of the turbulence. that passenger also commended the flight crew for how they handled everything during the turbulence.

the faa will be investigating. channel 6 action news. in other news, it was particularly violent night in the small bureau in delaware county. a gunman opened fire ending with two people killed. one was a 16-year-old, a third was injured. bob brooks is live at colwyn bureau police headquarters with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: it's absolutely terrible that these two young man have lost their live but the good news is tonight we have a picture of the suspect the man police say pulled the trigger. let's take a look. police say this man is a killer. caught on tape just before he would leave the chinese restaurant on the corner of walnut and 4th in colwyn bureau. investigators say shortly after he left, he would open fire. shooting three, killing two. 16-year-old and 20-year-old males. it happened late last night. evidence markers would cover the street, littered with bullets. delaware county da jake whalen how it started

>> two grown-ups of individuals that were apparently approaching each other, almost looked like they were posturing themselves for some type of altercation. >> reporter: the next shooter would open fire, several neighbors heard it happen >> i was upstairs with the baby. and i heard the five shots. real fast. i ran downstairs to check to see if my son got here. the young man was laying on the ground. >> young possibly were crying. >> reporter: young men continued to resort to gun violence >> a man with a gun >> i think they're punks. i think that people need to learn how to use their word. >> reporter: we spoke with the chinese restaurant owner. >> reporter: investigators say they're confident they will catch the shooter. they believe they have those responsible narrowed down and close to an arrest >> most if not all individuals involved in this are from from the colwyn area, colwyn, darby.

>> reporter: the third person shot also a teenager, a 15-year-old, they were struck in the arm. they're expected to make a recovery. reporting live in colwyn, bob brooks, channel 6 action news, walter >> thank you, bob. crews in philadelphia are investigating a double shooting that ended with two young men injured today in the city's logan section. it happened about 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of duncannon and hutchinson. officers arrived they found a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man both shot in the leg, no word on motive and no arrests in this case so far. a pedestrian was injured in bensalem this afternoon on king street near nicetown road about 12:30, the crash was serious but not anything about the condition. the vehicle stopped at the scene, no word if possible charges are pending in this case. those heavy overnight storms toppled several trees and resulted in severe flog cross parts of our area. this was the scene along i76

this kick ball contest wasn't just about winning the game. it was about winning against cancer, the phillies kicking cancer organization hosted its 9th annual kick ball tournament in fairmount park. more than 20 teams and 200 players took part. proceeds go to the fox chase cancer center and penn abramson cancer center as well. young basketball players work on skill at university city. the hoop disagreements basketball champ returned athletes ages 12 to 17 spent the afternoon at university of sciences learning to be better players. principles of hard work and dedication will help the players on and off the court. from end police athletic league of bensalem hosted its annual flag people tournament. it was open to local boys and girls ages seven through 12 in the name of fun and exercise and there were trophy knows for the top to teams. ♪ .
