white jeep rubicon, the victim, anne brodrick. police are investigating three separate shootings throughout philadelphia. three in the hospital, two in critical condition. >> the shootings happened within 35 minutes of each other. police are searching for the suspects in each case. in west philadelphia, police tell "action news" a 52-year-old man was walking home from work when a gunman approached him and shot him in the chest. it happened on north olden street he made it home and called 911. he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. a motive for the shooting is not known. in the city's olney section police responded to a shooting at a playground. officers responded to the john l.barrett playground on done -- duncanen street, a 23-year-old

man had a injury to his hip. he was taken to the hospital in the critical condition. north broad street, a man was found with several gunshot injuries he was taken to einstein in serious condition. shell casings were found at 13th and ruscomb street. >> at least ten people were hospitalized after an american airline flight bound for philadelphia experienced extreme turbulence, the violence sent passengers and crew members flying. >> american 359 avenue. >> reporter: listening to american air flight 759 asking to land, you would never expect the turbulence that they

experienced earlier. passengers said the turbulence lasted for 15 seconds as the drinks were being served. >> it started shaking, took a drop, baby screaming people in front of us, hitting the ceiling. there was a little bit of blood, they said there was not turbulence on the radar. >> the plane dropped, a flight attendant was pushing the cart and in the aisle and she fall over and the cart fall over her. >> reporter: officials say the plane landed safely at philadelphia international airport at 3:10 p.m. three passengers and seven crew members were taken to area hospital. >> i was grabbing my family around me. >> reporter: that passenger's wife was on board and tweeting about the experience. -- philadelphia's fire commissioner

tweeted photos of the fire department response with aircraft rescue and other units after the plane landed. several passengers we spoke with praised american airlines, both the crew on board and the airline response after it happened. faa said it will be investigating the incident. reporting at philadelphia international airport, trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> nearly 1,000 bedford county pennsylvania residents have been given the all clear to return home following the fiery train derailment last week. 32 cars of the cfx plane derailed inan. most of the residents have been able to return after air quality tests came back safely.

it's common for kids to dream of becoming an astronaut, one nine-year-old from new jersey took it a step further and applied to nasa. 4 grader jack davis sent a handwritten letter to be considered for a protection officer position. he wrote -- my sister things i'm an alien and his youth will help him think like an alien. nasa sent a letter back and said we hope to see you here at nasa, and they just may. >> reporter: that's how you do it. that's one dream i never had. i've never wanted to be an

saw, a comfortable day. rain approaching from the west some of it could get in here as early as 19:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. it's in advance this system that was pounding away at the heartland of the nation. first thing this morning we had a severe thunderstorm watch box that expired two hours ago. drenching downpours, that system makes a beeline toward the delaware valley over the next 12 to 24 hours. you can see the general movement south of springfield up the spine of the appalachians over top of us tomorrow morning. future tracker 6, the rest of the way looks pretty nice, combination of sun and high, thin clouds, from time to time you'll see the clouds a little bit thicker and the sunshine shine through. we'll get in here tomorrow morning, the moisture comes in sooner. we have showers by 7:00 a.m. the heavy stuff doesn't start until the afternoon hours that's in the form of pop-up showers an thunderstorms. look at the reds overspread the region. 2:30 p.m., powerful winds, some
