this morning the search is on for a shooter. plus, a brand new warning from north korea after president donald trump ramped up his rhetoric in the trans pacific war of words. >> and we have a winner where one lucky lottery ticket was sold worth nearly $400 million. more on those stories in a moment, but first meteorologist chris sowers joins us live outside with a first look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. good morning to you, guys, we're starting to dry out. when i came out here first thing this morning it was damp. we had leftover showers. now looking at storm tracker 6 live most of the activity is well to the south. you have to go into sussex county delaware, and extreme southern cape may county south to get any moisture. let's make zoom into the delaware bay. from cape may to lewes we're picking up light to moderate rainfall. if you're traveling route 1 and

heading into lewes and dewey beach and bethany beach. you're getting wet. the forecast models had this batch of moisture 100 miles to the north, over top south jersey and central and northern delaware, the same areas that were pounded monday. salisbury picked up 3 to 5 inches. cambridge 2 to 3. that extended eastward into beet knee and dewy beaches. 2 inches of rain there. a cold front approaches from the left later on, 82 degrees. that front could spawn another shower or thunderstorm, after 5:00 p.m. or so. west of philadelphia. it's not dry from this point on, we're not looking at a wash, either. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll focus on a

brighter sunday ahead. next week looks very, very nice with all the comfortable temperatures. >> thanks for the update. we begin with developing news coming in from northeast philadelphia happening right now police are searching for the person who shot a woman through her bedroom window. thmed after midnight -- this happened after midnight on the 8500 block of somerdale avenue. the woman heard a noise and got out of bed. >> looked outside and didn't see anything, went back to her bed and next thing you know she felt a burning sensation. >> the 58-year-old woman was actually shot three times she is in stable condition. police say they found bullet holes in the window screen and also the victim's pillow. officers believe this was a targeted attack because the shooter would have needed a chair to reach high enough to fire through the bedroom window. "action news" learned the victim is a security guard for philadelphia family court. a police shooting in north philadelphia is under review.

31-year-old tyrice carlisle was shot and killed when police say he tried to grab not one, but two officers guns. >> the male did comply initially, he let go of officer one's gun and he grabbed officer two's gun and the firing ensued. >> carlisle's mother called police to her home yesterday, he was stealing her car. his sister claims he suffers from mental health issues, he has a long criminal history that includes domestic violence, drug and gun charges. >> police are working to track down a shooter who brought a busy target store to a standstill after he fired shots in the parking lot. that shooting happened on the 7400 block of bustleton avenue in the northeast. police say a group of men were fighting when one of them pulled a gun. one man was shot as shop arers

ran for cover. -- shoppers ran for cover. >> everybody started running. >> you see the guy who got shot he walked in and literally fell to his knees. >> that victim is in stable condition. heavily armed swat officers cleared the building. surveillance video captured a clear picture of the suspect. new this morning, a stabbing victim tells police he is not hospital because he tried to fight off a would-be robber. the man in his 30s said it happened walking to him home on the 4100 block of hellerman street. police could not find the crime scene and turned it over to detectives. the victim is in serious condition with stab wounds to his head and neck. >> war of words between the u.s. and north korea continues to escalate this morning there is a new response from north korea after rough and tough talk from president donald trump.

crashed upon landing. there's no video from queensland on the eastern coast. four people were on board when the plane stalled and flipped on the runway. two people were trapped in the wreckage including the pilot, at least two people were seriously injured in the crash. happening today, a group of white nationalists are scheduled to hold a rally in charlottesville, virginia, 24 hours after a controversial protest. just last night a torch-bearing group marched through the university of virginia. they chanted white lives matter. scuffles broke out by opponents. southern law poverty group declared it a hate group. a norovirus was tracked

high humidity leaves which is making for an uncomfortable morning, at least the rain has stopped. we've turned the faucets off. at least for a little bit. the headlines looks like. there's satellite and radar behind me, the morning moisture working out to sea. what we're looking at here from this point on, a couple of leftover showers clouds and sunshine during the afternoon. it's not a bad day. it's a dreary morning. late-day thunderstorm erupt with the approach of a cold front. quick downpour embedded in the showers and thunderstorms that develop. we're not looking at the rain that sits over one location for hours and hours and rains itself out which produces the flooding we had earlier in the week. we're not having anything like that. if we do see late-day showers and thunderstorms they will move along the way. cape may, the point, it's south of there we're picking up the heavier downpours, sussex county and delaware, and getting into

the delmarva. forecast models took the batch of moisture and put it over top us. they made a 120-mile error where the rains would fall. we lucked out. we're not seeing any of that. it's cape may, south and dewy and bethany beaches. rainfall totals, look at the pattern we've been in, we see heavy downpours, atlantic city closing in on a foot of rain over the past 6 weeks. reading, 10.75. philadelphia, 8.1. and trenton. 7 1/2 inches of rain. some locations more than 6 inches above the seasonal average. 64 in the poconos. 72 in allentown. millville, philadelphia, 74. lancaster. 671. it's extremely humid once again, dewpoint temperatures are in the low to mid 70s to the south and upper 60s to the northwest. mid to upper 60s is humid, 70 is

on "action news" saturday morning, the war of words continue to escalate between washington and pyongyang, the new warning from north korea and how president trump is reassuring americans in the pacific of their safety. clashes after a controversial results of a presidential election were revealed. why the losing candidate said it was rigged. >> a young girl speaks out to her road to recovery two months after losing both legs in a tragic train accident. those stories, but first outside we go to meteorologist chris sowers , chris a little rain this weekend. >> reporter: most of it is done, there could be a pop-up shower or thunderstorm later this afternoon. the downpour parts of the area saw this morning they are working out to sea. as a matter of fact let's look at the radar, you can see where the heavy rains are located at this point. it continues to be to our south from cape may into sussex county and delaware, down into the delmarva. maryland you're seeing drenching downpours, west of there they piblgd up 3 to 35 -- they picked

when she lost her balance and got caught under the train. she was dragged 500 feet. sadly she lost both of the her legs. >> there are moments when i just i feel like, i'm different, but it's life, so i'll live with it. >> reporter: she doesn't remember much about that day, most her age doesn't give up, but not her she is a fighter. she is video of what she loves to do best, dancing she is undergoing physical therapy at shriners hospital in philadelphia. they said the bugged dancer is super determined and will hit the dance floor again. >> she doesn't care about anything else, she wants to dance again. >> reporter: everyone else is confident that she will be back

downpours soon and as far north as stone harbor and avalon. once this passes through, most of the time today we're looking at combination of sun, or clouds and peeks of sun. all the heavy weather we lucked out with this, all the heavy weather passed on by to the south. originally, the modeling put it over top of us, the areas that were pounded earlier in the week the modeling had it over us. wildwood half inch. dover, a quarter of an inch. philadelphia a tenth of an inch. trenton, 001st of an inch of rain this morning. the dewpoints feel awful, allentown, 72.

millville, 74. dover and wilmington, 73. satellite and radar warm front stretching from binghamton to the baltimore and washington, d.c. metro area that's in the process of pushing through. cold front arrives overnight tonight. in between we'll see dry hours. again this is not a wash, once this batch of moisture pulls away we could see 6, 7, 8 hours of dry weather with a combination of sun an clouds. as the cold front approaches that maybe enough of a trigger to pop another shower or thunderstorm late in the day. 5:00 p.m., here comes the approaching front. northwestern suburbs best chance of seeing the pop-up shower or thunderstorm. 9:00 a.m. there could pop ups at the jersey shore. sunday looks very, very nice. once again that's how the weekend panned out. saturday is iffy, sunday is nice. mostly sunny skies start to finish, high, thin clouds mixed in from time to time. mostly cloudy, peeks of sun and warm and sticky, late-day
