collusion to a regret full day in virginia. saturday night i'm walter perez and big story on "action news" is breaking news out of charlottesville virginia where the governor declared a state of emergency after a day of clash that he is ended in deadly violence. this after noon a car slam in the group of counter protesters leaving one person dead and 19 others injured and that came after altercations that left 15 others injured, as well. we will get latest from abc's lena zak. >> reporter: usually quiet town turned into chaos, one national list clashing with counter protesters, protesters upset over decision to remove confederate general robert e lee from the downtown park. when suddenly a car barreling down the street rammed into counter protesters running them over, others moved to jumped out of the way. >> you could see people, laid out on the street, paramedics working on them, people wrapping up their legs. >> reporter: charlottesville mayor, said in a statement i'm hard broken a life has been who here. i urge people of goodwill to

of the day but we are finding those showers and storms firing up across the region. storm tracker six live double scan radar showing we have activity down across south jersey and also to the north of dover, but what we are focusing in on is a line of activity from allentown down through reading and also into lancaster and texas. severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for western lancaster county, manhim included in that until 6:30. we have a severe thunderstorm warning for berks county, reading and adamstown included in that warning as we are finding winds as high as 60 miles an hour. storm's currently moving east at 25 miles an hour, we will go in tighter on street level with storm tracker six and you can see those showers, heavy thunderstorms for heights villain lancaster and press nothing to lincoln and, adams town. we will go in further north for areas in berks county. you can see 18 lightening strikes associated with this as it presses out of the area, and east of lincoln into reading, and berks county as

>> reporter: walter family members of the daisy torres says that she remains in icu at jefferson. police said she was hit in the arm and upper chest. they are still looking for the shooter some neighbors say they saw two people leaving quickly from the scene. just as 12:30 this morning gunfire broke out outside of this home in the 8500 block of somerdale, bum et cetera hit daisy torres multiple times as police believe she was targeted. >> m80 fire works or something like. that just really loud, consecutive and then over. >> reporter: moments before the shooting torres closed a window in her bedroom. >> she went to the window, the window was opened, and the screen was opened a little bit we don't know if she closed it , but she remembers that she looked outside, didn't see anything, went back to her bed and then next thing you know she felt a burning sensation. >> we have seen a bunch of cop cars, and just an ambulance and we seen daisy being

once in the neck. the vick them was taken to temple university hospital by private car and no word tonight on his condition. so far no arrests have been made in the case. we have an update to a story we reported last night. man has turned himself in connection with a shooting outside of a target store in northeast philadelphia. just before midnight last night a man, police are calling a person of interest, showed up at northeast detectives. shooting happened yesterday afternoon at the store, right there on bustleton avenue. it started as an altercation, gunman then pulled out a weapon and fired several times striking the victim once in the back. that victim remains in stable condition at the hospital no word about any possible charge s in this case. well to day was a day dedicated to speaking out against gun violence in philadelphia. face painting was just part of the fun, at fun activities during a day of peace event at mount zion church in north philadelphia this fun event is brainchild of the 11 year-old anita ayers. her inspiration was creating an environment where, people could be safe and have fun.

elderly man is injured but survives a horrific crash. a pickup truck ended up like this after he drove in on coming traffic and down an embankment in wilmington, delaware. delaware state police are investigating to determine why that man who control in the first place. accident took place just before 3:00 this afternoon on carr road near i-95 off ramp.

it took rescuers 40 announce free that driver from the wreckage. investigation is underway after a fatal crash in delaware county. it happened at 6:30 this morning at saint david road and mill view lane in newtown square. investigators say a 20 year-old man who control of his vehicle and crashed in the fence. he was pronounced dead at the scene. softball field has been re dedicated at the jones community center in wilmington members of the cedar heights bell dear community showed up at unveiling of the new signs for george william connor peel , the 70's and 80's mr. connor dedicated much of his free time to the local softball team. original sign bearing his name has been taterd by years of snow, rain, and wind. and an honor of national peace month it is peach festival time at peddler's village. of course this event features locally grown peaches and just about everything you can dream of making with peaches from jams, butter, pastry and pie. festival continues tomorrow.
