ago by the couple, you can tell she has cerebral palsy and visual impairment. they don't let it slow them down. they do it all over the country. they're in the uk. they wanted to prove wrong the saying that disabled child means disabled family. we're going to do it together. chloe loves to be outside as well. she loves the excitement of these situations. they've gone into the effort of creating the special sort of race chair for her. it costs about $10,000 u.s. but they can get her up to a good clip while doing it. it's just one of those beautifully inspiring stories that i think we need more and more nowadays. >> yeah. big time. especially the fact that they chose to adopt her and add her to their family. i think that's really beautiful. but to show that it is absolutely possible to live exciting, fun lives with a child with needs, i think it's amazing. and it should start changing the perspective that we have.

this is amazing. it's a gift. it's not something that we need to fix. >> i said that's very strange you say that, because i've had a lot of trouble with things like school and stuff in my life. i said can you tell me why that is. he said absolutely. you have asperger's syndrome. i was like, my gosh. you're right. i learned to talk backwards when i was 5. my brain simply understood how that worked and i was intrigued by it. i was also intrigued by machinery as a kid and i never played outside. it was all about technology. i'm going to talk more and more about what life was like growing up with aspy. >> has that really changed anything for you? my own son is on the spectrum. i'm interested to see how you feel about getting that information. >> i felt very relieved. because there have been a lot of things in my life that have been very difficult. especially with relating to people. so it's been a big relief. and they also told me that it wasn't a bad thing. they told me that it was a gift.

success. this is what they call an elevator launch. dave chatman. just basically straight up. you watch it at the beginning here, it's got the wing of the hang glider pointing way down into the wind. as soon as he raises it up enough to catch the wind, boom. straight up. >> did he need to do that though? >> absolutely, yes. you might expect to pull off a move like this, you need a deft hand. he has it. he's a pilot and been flying hang gliders for 30 years. it's not the first time he's done this. this is on the island of oahu in hawaii. here he goes again. very similar scenario. this time the camera is mounted on his hang glider. then straight up. >> the cool thing about this is it sort of demonstrates the science of flight. you know? you just need some forward motion. you don't even need to be moving if the wind is blowing at the right speed. >> it's neat. we've seen birds do this. seagulls at the beach will put their winds out, wind will catch, and up they go.
