the region and that summer like weather is expected to hang through the weekend. meteorologist cecily tynan, at the big board with the latest tonight. >> hi rick the last weekend of summer will feel like summer and it is warm and muggy and double scan live showing what used to be irma is up over new york state and the concentration of showers and thunderstorms are. we are getting a piece of its energy mainly in the form of high humidity and warm temperatures, today the warmest day in more than a week. we had a cool spell today's high currently 83 degrees and that is 4 degrees above normal and dew points are in the 60s and you feel that moisture in the air. in the meantime. hurricane jose has weakened to tropical storm jose as of 11:00, maximum sustained winds of 7 miles per hour. it's not all that organized but heading into warmer waters and it likely will restrengthen to a category one hurricane.
