video from second and ritner from sunday night. it is a graphic case in point. residents want more police and they want these bike riding teens to stop making trouble. what kind of trouble? lets go live to 2nd and ritner and sara bloomquist. just about a half hour from now, 6:30 neighbors will gather here in front of the shareswood school at 2nd and ritner. they tell us they will be out here because they want to reclaim their neighborhood. teenagers riding on bicycles and basically harassing people and they came up with video addressing the concerns they are talking about. >> anthony came across this surveillance video while trying to figure out how his car window got broken ite hangin t

the teens started to throw rocks at people, cars and homes and a man came out to confront them and got heckled and even slapped in the back. >> they have attacked the elderly and children and this is a huge problem forever the neighborhood. >> this is going on for a year. joe tells us the teens are coming in all summer and claimed the steps of the school as their hangout. >> they took over the steps. anybody walking by they harass. an 89-year-old lady they harassed. >> it's taken out by outsiders, my elderly neighbor is afraid to come out. >> kerry brennan encouraged neighbors to join her on the steps of the school even the man seen harassed on the video joins her and they are determined to take the streets back.

morning commute. president trump traveled to florida today to get a firsthand look at damages caused by irma. the president, first lady, melania and vice president pence spend the day in naples and ft. myers serving meals and talking to residents. meanwhile there are several investigations underway to determine why eight members of a nursing home in hollywood, florida, have died. they were assured their loved ones would be safe and cared for during the storm. world news tonight with david mere has more on the investigation and the president's trip to the hurricane zone at 6:30 after "action news" at 6:00. and tropical storm jose is meandering in the ocean. but will it have an impact on our weather. >> the surf is already off the new jersey and delaware beaches thanks to jose still far out to sea, 500 miles south of bermuda,

if you look at the this radar it's not all that organized. it was downgraded today to a tropical storm with maximum winds of 70 miles per hour. it is moving into warmer water and will likely regenerate to a category one. there is a shift in the track it's coming close to the eastern seaboard early next week and this will bring us large waves and rip currents and it looks like it could be brushing near cape cod early next week. the big impact will be down the shore increasing wave heights through now into tuesday. that is when it will be peaking when the storm is closest to us. dangerous rip currents and beach erosion likely and if it moves close new we'll see a little bit of rain at the jersey shore and the big impact with this system is the rip currents and large swells and details on what to expect coming up in full accuweather forecast. >> one thing that hurricane jose

is doing is creating serious surf and currents at the jersey shore. "action news" reporter, john rawlins was there today. >> reporter: today a thundering rougher than normal surf crashing on to the beach south of the steel pier in atlantic city. with it enough wind to make putting up an umbrella a challenge. beneath the waves lurked currents that could overwhelm unwary swimmers. >> on a day like today we like to keep they in front of us. we get the surf from the storms out there. jose is the effects we are seeing now. too steve downey oversees the beach patrol and with this surf they keep a close eye on swimmers. >> we keep them close and see their level of swimming. >> we saw some go knee and waist deep and some got no closer than this. >> you put a toe in and didn't

other news tonight a group of protesters demonstrated in front of the frank rizzo statue calling for the city to take it down. organizers say this represents racist police tactics in philadelphia and calling for police reform and demanding the

release of convicted cop killer abu-jamal and members that have been in prison since 1978 for the murder of police officer james ramp. and the americaner of jefferson health is a done deal. they made the announcement in washington township. the deal was announced last year and the partnership will allow patients of kennedy to have access to jefferson's clinical trials and their extensive services. camden schools could get an additional source of funding this year from private donors, superintendant made the announcements today at woodrow wilson high school. townsend press will provide a matching grant of $100,000 of donors choose.org. that website allows teachers to solicit donations for classroom projects. the 2017 philly high school fair begins tomorrow.

representatives from 100 public, private and charter high schools from across the city will be there. the fair takes place tomorrow from 5:00 until 7:00 and saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the pennsylvania convention center. the fair gives parents and students the opportunity to find the right school by connecting them with various school officials in one central location. and home depot teamed up with residents in strawberry mansion, representatives went door-to-door along the 3300 block of west paige street and they donated 300 spoke debtors for the event today. and the newest vehicle in villanova's public safety fleet and this van provides sugar as well as security. it's a mobile treat unit where officers hand out free ice-cream and all the items have police

sky 6 hd over the delaware building clouds throughout the day. one of those days you get the sunshine and clouds and isolate the showers and ray sent me this great drone shot. he took this at 6:00 looking over hatboro and there were isolate the showers you see the dark clouds and also see the rays, the sun beams, corpuscollar rays, that means sun beams. every day a little bit of everything. as we head through the weekend and next week we have the pattern with patchy fog in the morning and warm and humid and i am watching the track of jose that shifted farther to the west today. right now 80 degrees in philadelphia. down from the high of 84. and 5 degrees above normal for a change and september is relatively cool. and cape may 76 and wilmington

77. and stormtracker 6 live double scan showing most of the region is rain free however i have been tracking the pulse up downpours, one of them just developed in northeast philadelphia about 10 minutes ago heading towards frankford and it's a quick downpour and that is the air mass we are in through the weekend. every day we see a few isolate the showers develop and most areas are rain free and again temperatures remain on the warm side. satellite 6 along with action radar showing what is left of irma. the actual center of circulation over new york state but we get some of that wrap around moiflt your from it. this is why we are on the humid side with dew points in the 60s and humidity tonight fog is developing and otherwise it's sticky and temperatures are mild. 67 in philadelphia and cape may 68 and allentown 65 with a scattered showers. tomorrow morning lots of clouds here and there and filtered sunshine and as we head into the afternoon much like today.

we see a few isolate the showers and i think this is a little bit overdone and we keep the trend through the weekend. and clouds mixing with sunshine and low 80s and isolate the afternoon shower. and saturday, sunday and also tomorrow. in the meantime. jose is a tropical storm and it has weakened maximum sustained winds 70 miles per hour. and it looks to become a hurricane again and then threaten the eastern seaboard. the latest tracks keep it offshore likely hitting cape cod next week and close enough to produce the large swells and beach currents especially sunday through tuesday. so the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast it's warm and humid tomorrow and 83 degrees and saturday and sunday also in the mid-80s and monday it stays muggy and 81 degrees and tuesday the clouds from jose drops temperatures back into the 70s, and 77 degrees and wednesday we
