city, 2 miles. wildwood, a mile and a half. i-95 corridor, bright blue skies and sunshine. satellite and radar not much to talk about. we have an area of high pressure coming in over the top off the screen. that should keep us fairly dry this weekend there's the slightest chance of a spotty shower today and tomorrow. most of us stay dry. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, sun and clouds, warm and humid, shower possible. 84 degrees is the forecasted high. here's the latest on hurricane jose. it's remains a category one hurricane. maximum stained winds up to 80 miles per hour. it has gusts shy of 90 miles per hour. 525 miles per hour suit/southeast of cape hatteras, north carolina. we expect it to make the right-hand side tush in the next hour or so. -- turn in the next hour or so.

>> reporter: ten officers and injured and dozens arrested overnight. >> many of the demonstrators were peaceful. however, after dark maniage -- after dark, many agitators began throwing rocks and assaulting police officers. >> reporter: jason stockily was charged with first degree murder after shooting smith five times following a high-speed chase in 2011. stockily said he feared for his life, claiming he saw smith holding a gun. prosecutors argued he planted the gun in smith's car. stockily telling the st. louis dispatch after the verdict, a burden has been lifted.]chantin. >> i believe black lives matter

matter, this is crazy people are fed up. >> reporter: for them, the case is painful reminders of michael brown sparking days of unrest and violence in nearby ferguson when a st. louis grand jury decided not to indict darren wilson for brown's death. brown's father was among them protesting. >> i pray for my city, man, my people tired of this. >> reporter: and smith's mother saying this after the verdict. >> i'm not going to stand here and say no justice, no peace, my heart is broken. >> reporter: elizabeth hur abc news new york. back at home, philadelphia police are investigating the shooting of three people one of whom died. a man was shot at germantown avenue and cumberland street.

the victim was dropped off by an unnone person at temple in critical condition and later died. a man and woman showed up at the hospital after they were shot in the legs. authorities say security guard at the corner bar fired the shot that killed the man after witnessing him fire a gun in front of him. >> a male that was shot in the stomach because right in front of him, he observed this male fire on people that were walking down the street. those how this woman and this man we believe were shot in their legs. >> police tell us they are trying to sort through all this. the security guard we are told is cooperating with authorities of officers recovered a handgun they believe belonged to the victim. a 45-year-old man is recovering this morning after he was shot in north philadelphia

near 8ing street. the victim was shot in the jaw and the hand. he was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition. no word on a motive. many parents on edge as philadelphia police are investigating not one, not two, but 6 suspicious incidents involving children since tuesday afternoon. investigators believe the same suspect may be responsible for each incident from attempted abduction to lewd acts and taking pictures of children. trish hartman has more on the search for the suspect. >> i'm going to meet my twin daughters and let them know they have to come in way before the sun go down. >> >> that's scary, you know. , many parents are keeping a closer eye on their kids after hearing philadelphia police are investigating 6 different suspicious incidents involving children this week in northeast

philadelphia. >> they asked the child to come over to the car, she realized he was driving with his zipper down. >> reporter: police say the suspect ask a hispanic man in his 30s with black hair and facial hair. the incidents started tuesday afternoon and continued wednesday and thursday and three reported incidents happened within a 45 minute span. in some cases the man offered girls money in exchange for taking their picture. students say they saw a man recording kids in the school yard sullivan elementary school on thursday. police have released a surveillance photo of black sedan with tinted windows. a car police believe belong to the suspect. police urge parents to talk to your kids. >> walk away, runaway. >> reporter: one neighbor didn't want his face shown because the

suspect is out there, but said he'll be keeping a close watch. >> for him to do something that desperate, you know he is pretty bold that's what the community is about, we have to come together and catch this guy. >> police say in all of the cases, the children ran away and reported the incident to an adult. if you have any information you're asked to contact the special victims unit. reporting outside the special victims units, trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> a house was badly damaged by an overnight fire in the city's west oak lane section. the action cam on the 1500 block of maryland street as crews put out hot spots there. the fire started around # #3:00 a.m., when crews arrived on the scene they found the fire on the first and second floor of the home. nobody lived inside the building. it's not clear what caused the fire. tom wolf announced a delay of nearly $2 million in payments

to medicaid insurance and school district that follows a legislative stalemate to cover a $2.2 billion budget hole. there won't be a government shut down at least not for now. in the short term, the delay of payments will create little pain, but if it is not corrected it could cost in the long term. >> the commonwealth will have to pay more for its lower bond ratings and more financing. at the end fortunate day it comes back and bites the average taxpayer. >> this is the first known time that the state government has missed a payment as a result of not having enough money. happening today, friends and family will say a final goodbye to an american hero, petty officer kenneth smith who lost his life on the u.s.s. john mccain after it struck a

the terrorist attack that injured 30 people on subway train. police took an 18-year-old man into custody. they have not released his identity, authorities are calling it a significant arrest, but did not say if the person was the one who planted the bomb. we know the suspect was picked up about 75 miles from london. terror threat remains critical, meaning another attack could be immanent. north korea, media outlet

showed a picture of the missile launch. in the pictures you can see the leader staring at the sky and clapping and cheering after the ballistic test. u.s. and south korea military detected the missile that flew over japan and landed in the pacific ocean. nasa has imploded a 4 billion-dollar spacecraft that orbited the skies of saturn for two decades. the spacecraft known as casini crashed into the atmosphere yesterday, nasa said they had no other option because it was running outle -- running out of fuel. casini sent back pictures of the saturn rings and moons. chris sowers has more on hurricane jose. >> reporter: it's tracking

toward the coast. we were out this morning around ocean city taking a look at the waves that are beginning to develop. now the storm is 550 miles away from cape hatteras we're starting to see the larger waves along the jersey shore. this is a weekend if you want to venture into the water, the temperature are warm enough where it mite make you want to swrum into the water, you have to be careful, the waves will build each and everyday, they can be as high as ten feet and dangerous rip currents, as well. the headline this morning what we're watching for over the next few days, the warm tropical feeling will stick around until tuesday temperature in the 08 -- 80s. watching hurricane jose we are expecting large swells up to ten feet and rip currents and winds and a little bit of rain as we get into tuesday afternoon. in the meantime let's start you

out with numbers, 67 in allentown and reading, 66 in lancaster, philadelphia you're the warm spot, 75. millville, 66. cape may, 70. future tracker 6 later today we're going with a combination of sun and clouds, in one or two areas you'll see a brief spotty shower develop. keep that in the back of your mind. maybe you see a shower or ten or 15 minutes. this trend will continue through the evening hours. overnight tonight, everything clears out, although there be patchy fog settle in, just like this morning. sunday afternoon, same thing, sunshine and clouds, warm and humid, spotty shower. today, sun and clouds, warm and sticky, 84 in allentown. philadelphia, same number. trenton, 81. cape may, 77. lancaster, 82. dover, 81.

hurricane jose it's a weak category one storm. we're noticing over the last few frames the sudden explosion in convection, the thunderstorm activity is starting to blossom and wrack around the center of circulation which is a sign of further development. spaghetti plots each line represents a different tropical forecast model. when they are bunched together like this they are in pretty good agreement. that keeps the storm 200 to 250 miles out to sea. that good news because the worst part of the storm is out to sea. the right front quadrant is here and not over top of us. it's the most dangerous part of the storm. on this specific track it spares the entire eastern seaboard we'll see large swells and beach 'erosion and rip currents, that's about it. jersey shore, monday evening through wednesday morning, waves up to ten feet.

huge breakers on the sand. rip currents and beach erosion and wind gusting 40 to 45 miles per hour. if the shifts closer to the coast. let's assume it tracks closer to the coast only 50 miles out to sea. the impact would be greater, 2 to 4 inches of rain for the jersey shore and gusts 50 to 60 miles per hour. this is less likely at this point we're focusing in on the 200 to 250 miles out to sea which would mean only minor impacts for the jersey shore. we'll continue to watch it over the next few days. warm and humid, spotty shower, 84. same thing tomorrow, 83. monday, clouds and sun, 78. tuesday for now we'll post cloudy and breezy, 75. wednesday, thursday, friday, look good, very warm tempts in the 80s. thank you for the update. here's a look what's happening around the area this weekend. it's beginning to look like fall

cape hatteras. i want to show you this in case you're tuning in. let's assume this is a hurricane. there are four quadrants to a hurricane. let's say it was traditionalling to traditionalling -- traveling to the north like this. here's the right front quadrant, lower left. the right front is where the strongest winds are, where the greatest storm surge is. sandy a few years ago made the left turn like this, the right front quadrant slammed the jersey shore right there. not only did we see the powerful winds we saw the tremendous storm surge and everybody remembers the damage we sustained. this is a completeically -- completely different storm. jose is traveling like this paralleling the eastern seaboard. it is well off the coast, it's out through here. it's nowhere near the jersey

shore. we could see gusts 40 to 45 miles per hour. we'll see big waves, but the worst part of the storm is well out to sea. if we flip it over to the tropical forecast model every single one of them suggest it stays 200 to 250 miles out to sea. here's the overall track we look at the quadrant right in here is the right front quadrant it's nowhere near the jersey shore or the delaware beaches. there's good news there. as we look if he wind field this is smaller than irma and harvey and smaller than sandy. hurricane force winds extend outward 30 miles or so. so it's well out to sea. what we know with fairly high confidence monday evening through wednesday morning we'll see waves up to ten feet. there's no way to get around that. there's going to be beach erosion and rip currents and gusting winds 40 to 45 miles per

lafayette college is investigating into the death of a 19-year-old student who was found unconscious outside his dorm yesterday. coroner said he died of blunt-force trauma. jeffrey sandusky has pleaded guilty to 14 counts of child axal abuse and child pornography. he is the son of jerry sandusky. he made the deal one week before his trial was expected to begin in centre county. police say he committed rhymes crimes against two under age girls. in 1996 celine in a -- celine mays disappeared and police are look hoping to know
