the plane had taken off from the nearby wings field. the pilot was held by neighbors until ems arrived. the pilot is in the hospital in philadelphia. the homeowners were home, but not injured. the federal investigation will continue throughout the day. sources say the man is from maryland. police expect to release details about him this afternoon. nairn say they -- neighbors sayy are leery and concerned about flying over their neighborhood. >> we see planes, 4, 5, 6, ten a day, it's a nice view to watch the planes go across the field right there, but there is kind of a reality wake up check, kind of scary. >> reporter: rick, sarah, police are waiting to release the name of the pilot and what his name is, he is from the state of maryland, they are talking to his family they are not releasing his condition at this

as we go through the around it's going to stay very warm. 89 degrees by 2:00 p.m. plenty of sunshine out there, maybe a few pop up clouds. we expect a high of 90 at 3:00 p.m. an similar number at 4:00 p.m. after dark at 8:00 p.m. we'll get into the upper 70s and 73 by 10:00. remember we're in that time of year where we have a little bit of sunshine, we'll keep those high numbers in place briefly. dewpoint, anything over 60 indicates humidity. up around 07 it's oppressive. that's what we have in reading and lancaster and philadelphia and cape may. we have an issue with rip currents down the shore that's because of maria to our south a high risk today not only in new jersey, but the delaware beaches and repeating this tomorrow and maybe wednesday. we'll have a look at maria it is going on to jog out to sea below us, that's a new track that came

her daughter three seemingly never ending days dragged on. we called off for work and she was sobbing. >> my other kids would come and give me strength. the 24-year-old was able to evacuate on a ferry and took 14 hour trip to saint lucia, eventually she did call home. >> got to talk to her friday for about ten seconds. that was the best ten seconds of my life. with her daughter safe and sound she carries a renewed sense of gratitude. >> never take life for granted. >> reporter: much of the school was destroyed or damaged. they could rush next semester the beginning of next year, she is not sure this could happen

again and she is not sure she wants to return. jeanette reyes channel 6 "action news." >> it was a scary turn for a philadelphia medic crew after a large crowd got rowdy overnight. the crew was on a routine time in the 4900 block of c street in feltonville when someone slashed the tire on the vehicle. at one point in the disturbance people were running in and out of the ambulance and standing on top of it. the crew called for police to help, there were no injuries reported. police took two people into custody. police are investigating a collision between a school bus and motorcycle in mount laurel, new jersey. the motorcyclist was hit by a bike at south church street and country lane. no word on injuries or what caused the collision. the country continues to talk about the clash of politics and sports following president trump's attack on players who kneel during the national anthem. across the country nfl players and coaches and team owners

philadelphia international passengers were struck in the terminal because of radar failure. it could not have happened at a worse morning which is a busy time and the start of a holiday. thousands were beginning vacation getaway. a man was train surfing holding on to the windshield wipers of a moving train in perth. witnesses watched in horror during the 70-mile an hour ride. he hopped on in one stop and rode four minutes to the next stop where police arrested him. >> the plight of a puppy abandoned at a las vegas airport went viral. the dog was abandoned with a handwritten note say the owner was in an abuse issue relationship abbey could -- and could not take the puppy with her. it is believed that the puppy was abused too.
