"action news" reporter katherine scott is there now with the full details. >> reporter: some people were going for the relief effort and others were going to check on family. obviously maria devastated puerto rico. many people going today didn't know what they would face when they got there. >> we don't know what they face when they get there. >> katie accompanied her mother and aunt to the gate at the philadelphia international airport this morning for a flight to san juan. the two evacuated before the hurricane hit. >> and katie is sending them back with bags of supplies for her family that stayed behind. >> even the text messages it's hard because i am not there to supthem. >> mary secured a ticket rushing down after the death of her mother on sunday.

>> they don't have water or food and they want to bury her as soon as possible. >> she too packed what she could carry. i am hoping that my brother would pick me up but i heard he doesn't have gas and lines and they don't have any cash. they were like please bring money, we cannot use the atm or anything. >> in airport operations are limited. americans second flight from phl to san juan since maria hit loaded with passengers and 19,000 pounds of cargo including relief supplies. the first flight left last friday with $20,000 worth of goods from american airlines philadelphia hub. >> we though we have team members and family members affected. >> and on this flight local relief workers from the salvation army. that has 150 staffers home based in puerto rico.

off the coastline. back up to near 75 miles per hour going from a tropical storm to back to a hurricane status right now, you see how we get a few clouds near the coastline because of that as well. we'll see cloud cover there and the big story is really the temperatures, look at these numbers. just in now, 83 degrees right now in philadelphia. the high of 74, well above that and 83 in allentown, 5-in millville and just the 70s along the coastline where you have a little more cloud cover there. lets look at the afternoon, it's feeling hot and humid today. nothing like you would normally see this time of year. at 2:00, 86 degrees and 4:00 upper 80s and the high is 88 and will feel hotter than that when you factor in the humidity. at 10:00 tonight 77 and are you still above the average high for the day. unseasonable warm as we continue with that.

whereabouts you are asked to call police in montgomery county. final leaders rallied outside of the courthouse in easton county of a clergy that says he was targeted by a white supremacist. >> he is a pastor in audubon, he came to the defense of another pastor on facebook that was publically advocating against white supremacy. that is when he says the man who has targeted other religious leaders in the area turned his sights on him and that suspect was due in court today. the reverend had plenty of support outside with faith leaders across the state and saying the message was one that needed to be heard. >> as faith leaders it's our responsibility to challenge white supremacy. because all of our finals tell us there is no such thing as a human being that is superior or inferior. >> the suspect's hearing was continued until a later date. hundreds of new full-time

the west that swings through tomorrow and helps to nudge it on out of here. we are watch that closely and a category one hurricane with winds of 75 miles per hour and look at the sharp turn. that is because of the front pushing it out of here and continuing to give us a high risk of rip currents, be careful down the shore. especially when you talk about temperatures like this like a 74 degree temperature. lets look at the numbers around the area, you'll get a bit more crowd cover south and east of the city. the lehigh valley getting sunshine and city mix of clouds and sun and cloud cover along the coast and upper 70s. the upper 80s through the i-95 corridor and better than that in reading where you get 89 degrees with more sunshine. it feels hotter than that. we look at these numbers hour by hour, and periods of clouds and
