one of them likes my cooking, lets talk about today's warmth it was hot, our high 89 degrees, 2 degrees shy of the record high. and even the low 70, the low is 4-. the heat index the way it feels right now philadelphia it's steamy out here feels like 90 and allentown and trenton feels like 91 and trenton 92 and wilmington and millville feels like 90 degrees, things will change, satellite and radar showing two things i'm tracking. maria spinning off the coast of cape hatteras and the great lakes the line of clouds you see there. that is the cold front that kicks maria out to sea and brings us cooler and more comfortable air. for tonight we are looking at temperatures dropping down to 68 degrees in philadelphia. allentown 62 and reading 63 and cape may 70. the winds are shifting overnight out of the northwest and the human is dropping and tomorrow a nice day but a windy day.

that cold front presses through and kicks up the winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour and the high dropping to 79 degrees heading into friday and maria and the cold front will be history. temperatures dropping down to about 72 degrees and there is a fast moving system moving through the great lakes and that could touch off a shower or two on saturday morning and really drop the temperatures even more. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast we drop down into the upper 70s tomorrow and very windy and low 70s on friday. saturday a chance of a morning shower and otherwise clouds mixing with sun and 69 degrees and temperatures begin to rise next week. sunday 71 and wednesday it turns warmer up to 79 degrees and by the end of the week we could get back into the 80s. this weekend nice and cool to come to the philadelphia zoo. >> want salad? >> i love it. >> i'll pass okay. >> all right we'll be right back with more.

in the northern liberty section of the city. a 36-year-old woman driving the car was killed. two children were in the vehicle one was taken to hahnemann hospital with serious injuries. nobody on the trolley was injured. septa is running shuttle buses between front street and 26th street on girard avenue. now, the dire situation in puerto rico. by all accounts it's getting worse not better. the u.s. response is cranking up with hundreds of thousands of pounds of relief supplies, but six days after hurricane maria slammed into the island. puerto rico still has no power limited water and hospitals that are struggling to treat patients and day long waits for gasoline. if you want to get a plane out good luck with that. only a handful of flights are able to leave the island on a daily basis. puerto rico was home to 3.5 million american citizens and most of them are
