the hurricane a tropical storm after hitting the gulf coast of mississippi roaring ashore overnight. this is video from the road along the gulf coast you can see the waves crashing ashore 100,000 people across mississippi and alabama are without power. >> maggie ruly is in bleksy -- biloxi mississippi. >> reporter: nydia and gray, we were hit with heavy rain te storm surge. we have the storm inle right now but it seems like the worst of the storm is over. hurricane nate coming ashore twice during the night first in southeastern louisiana and again on the mississippi gulf coast. the storm system lashing coastal areas with winds over 80 miles per hour. from the gulf coast to the northern regions of mississippi and alabama residents bracing for the worst. >> they've got tornadoes in these things you don't know when
