condition. the victim's husband was taken into custody facing a long list of charges. 6:02 a.m., pinelands regional high school shut down indefinitely. parents flocked to an urgent meeting where they learned air quality is no longer a concern. jeff chirico explains why school leaders closed the door. >> i'm happy with that. >> reporter: parents were upbeat as they left the meeting where they learned the pinelands regional high school will be closed until further notice. the superintendent said the decision was made when a screw from the roof fell on a student on thursday, he was not injured. >> we needed to ascertain what the issue and check outline -- all the screws in the roofing. >> reporter: this comes zahree leaf -- this comes as a relief

sport road. that work began last night it's expected to take 55 hours to complete. we're tracking it all for you. you'll find detours at the lehigh valley interchange and southbound at the poconos interchange. the northeast extension expected to reopen 4:00 a.m. on monday. penndot is planning changes to the two-lane stretch of the blue route in delaware county. they are between i-95 and the commodore barry bridge, engineers will design a system to occasionally open the shoulder to traffic in order to alleviate some of the congestion that we've all experienced. but this is about four years away, don't get too excited just yet. a similar system is used outside washington. 6:06 a.m. if you're just waking up with us. get ready for changes in healthcare. president trump said payments for subsidies that reduce out of pocket costs for low income americans come to an end. it is the biggest move by the

investigating a shooting in the wissinoming section that left a man dead near a dollar tree along the 4,000 block of bitter street at 3:30 a.m. officers found a 28-year-old man inside a parked car where he was shot several times in the chest. he was taken to the hospital where he was ro announced dead. a fire was reported at the cedar court apartments on the white horse pike at cuthbert boulevard after 11:00 p.m. crews got the fire under control in 20 minutes. no injuries were reported. 6:33 a.m., in california the fight continues to douse the killer wildfires there. we've learned 5 people were dead and hundreds more missing. firefighters were battling winds gusting up to 50 miles per hour, making it more challenging to bring the fires under control.

>> you got to go. making a desperate rescue of a woman and her disabled husband. the flames are around them as the officer makes the rescue. elizabeth hur has the details. >> reporter: a daunting tafng -- task for firefighters attacking wildfires in california. 6,000 homes destroyed in an area larger than new york city burned to the ground. 2800 homes were destroyed in santa rosa alone and surrounded by all the devastation including these cars trucks and all of the furniture, take a look at what they found a handful of homes still standing and the homeowners can't believe it.

elizabeth hur abc news, santa rosa, california. >> a philadelphia man accused of raping two children in bucks county is locked up in jail. the 21-year-old is being held on $2 million bail. he was arrested by police in falls township. investigators say his victims were under ten when the alleged molestation started. the city of chester, delaware county has surpassed an on ominous milestone. there have been more murders this year than all of 2016. a 26-year-old man shot in a hail of bullets on thursday, died from his injuries yesterday afternoon. he is the 27th homicide of 2017. police are asking anyone who has information about that shooting to give them a call. authorities have identified the bodies found floating in the schuylkill expressway river thursday near walnut street. the medical and are confirmed the victim was 58-year-old
