the prime suspect, the woman who gave them life. it is monday night and the story on "action news" tonight is the latest in the probe of the death of two children and the effect it's having on a wilmington community. dann cuellar is live with the wilmington police tonight. dan? >> jim, a young mother is in jail suspected but not charged in the suspicious death of her two young boys. questions are running rampant as to how the boys died and why? >> we need you more than ever, god. >> pastor margaret led prayer outside the home the children died. >> investigators say it was just after 8:30 this morning that police were called to check on

well being of the children, one said to be five years old and the other a few months old. police said the boys dead but smelled a strong odor of gas and evacuated the building. >> the mother is the prime suspect. >> definitely it's the person that has authority over the house at this time is considered the suspect. we have to rule everything out before making the determination. we are interviewing the parties and witnesses at this time. >> among those was councilwoman maria cabrera. >> it's our home and neighborhood. i prayer if the healing we need. >> with the children and mother not identified by police, there was fear and trepidation over who they were as they all play together. >> i have the dread, is it that
