the big story on "action news" this noon is breaking news out of maryland. where the search is on for a gunman that shot and killed three people at an office park outside of baltimore. >> and it happened at the emmerton business park in this morning. two people are injured and are in serious condition. and police identified the gunman. they say he opened fire with a handgun. prince and all five victims were all associated with the company at the business park. right now police have no motive for the shooting. stay with "action news" and 6abc.com for the very latest developments on this shooting. back here developing news in delaware, frightening moments for a mother when a man jumped in her car and took off with her car with her young son inside. he is okay but the search continues for the carjacker.

vernon odom is live with the details. >> there were frightening moments at 8:30 this morning here in claymont a normally quiet place and a sedan was carjacked with the child in it, fortunately the 6-year-old knew what to do right away. >> this 6-year-old boy and his mother are safe and together thanks to the child's quick thinking. >> the 29-year-old more parked in the wawa in claymont and ran into the store alone leaving her keys inside of the car, a female that was hanging around the lot climbed in and started to hijack the car with the child in it. the child knew this was trouble and jumped out of the stolen vehicle. >> after being in the wawa the 6-year-old son came in and advised her someone had taken her car. the investigation revealed that after the 29 claymont entered

the wawa the white female she noticed jumped if it and drove away. the 6-year-old was able to exit the vehicle and he was uninjured. >> this is a picture of the hijacker who sped north to wilmington. if you know her call delaware state police right away, it's described as a 2008 hyundai sonata. rick are, at this hour delaware state police issued an all points bulletin around the area hoping that someone will spot the carjacker. live in claymont, delaware, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. all right some tense moments at a philadelphia high school and a lockdown after the teacher reported hear what she thought was a gunshot in the high school. it happened in overbrook and the search began for the suspect.

gray hall joins us live from outside of overbrook high with the details on the investigation. >> sara and rick, everything is back to normal here at overbrook high school and police officers and teachers and students are all relieved that this was only a false alarm. chopper 6 hd is over overbrook high school after a teacher heard what she thought was a gunshot this morning. police put the school on lockdown after a search of the building. police determined there was no threat. >> after we got here there was conflicted stories, and able to ascertain that no one saw a gun inside of the school and no evidence of a gunshot inside of this school. what occurred seemed to be a fight outside of the school which we are still investigating. concerned parents showed up to make sure their children were safe and they told "action news" they happened to be in the neighborhood and saw the activity in their daughter's school. and their hearts dropped. >> i was coming to my

appointment around here and saw the cop cars in front of the school and my daughter attends here and we stopped and we were concerned. to see all the cop cars out here we didn't get a phone call from anybody letting us know what was going on. we were afraid. >> one thing i know philadelphia cops, they are good. they ain't no joke. they jump on stuff. >> this turn out to be a false alarm. the teacher did the right thing by alerting authorities, parents are relieved their children were in the no danger. >> the safety of the children is the number one priority. >> i am relieved there was not another school shooting. >> back out live the lock down is lifted and police telling us there was never a threat at the school and the students are all say. reporting in overbrook, gray hall, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. classes resume today for students at philadelphia's john

b. kelly school. the german town school was closed since last thursday because of a persistent mold problem and today parents told "action news" they were happy to see their children heading back to class. >> i am happy and excited and have a brand new start for my children here at john b. kelly and happy to start over in a clean safe environment. so they can learn. my main concern is my children. >> officials linked the mold problem to the school's hvc system. in south jersey the staff and students at whitehall had to do a different place for class. mold cleanup continues at the grade school, holly glen elementary is the only other school that remains closed after the district wide mold sweep last week. we are awaiting a pennsylvania judge's decision on whether to grant jerry sandusky a new trial. he claims his lawyers did not

adequately represent him in the first trial. and that prosecutors did not share information about victims changing stories. sandusky is asking for a second chance in persuading a jury he is innocent of child molestation charges for the charges he was convicted on to be thrown out. we'll bring you the decision as soon as it was announced . there was travel headaches on i-95 after the car smashed into the back of a truck hauling a small trailer. chopper 6 hd was over the scene of the northbound lanes of 95 in bristol township, bucks county. police say that the sedan rear ended the truck and ended up beneath the trailer and no word if the driver was hurt in the crash and specialized equipment was called in to lit the trailer off the car. two people were trapped inside of a car after it flipped over here on i-95 in southwest philadelphia. it happened before 6:00 this

morning before the exit to philadelphia international airport. the car was the only vehicle involved in the crash and there is no word on what exactly caused the accident. all right on the weather front it was a chilly morning but we are warming up nicely at this hour. sky 6 hd looking live at cape may. and a nice shot of the jersey shore and plenty of sunshine at lunch time and temperatures climbing into the 70s should be a nice afternoon the start of yet another warming trend that will hopefully sick around for a few days more. meteorologist david murphy is in the weather center with a look at the forecast. >> just like yesterday the lack of cloud cover off the coast and additional stuff over the great lakes having a difficult time building its way down into our direction because of high pressure in place and the temperatures are already above yesterday's highs. 65 in allentown and 65 currently in philadelphia and 67 in wilmington and 62 in cape may and 65 in trenton.

for potential problems with the door. the company today announced the major recall affecting the 2015 to 2017, f-150 and super duty vehicles. in some of those vehicles the problem with the door latch or acation cable could cause the door not to open or close. it may look closed but it's not engaged. you can take your vehicle to the dealer for full repairs. a new study delivers good news and bad news about self driving cars, the boston consulting group says that technology could ease congestion and at the same time means the popularity may mean to more cars on the road and encourage urban sprawl. and they are testing self driving cars in boston and gm are will start testing in manhattan next year. they are currently testing them in phoenix and detroit.

gently blowing around and it's not much of a breeze. and temperatures are still maybe cool enough for a sweatshirt or a jacket. 65 degrees in allentown, and 64 if reading and 65 in trenton and philadelphia and up to 67 in wilmington and 66 in millville and 63 in cape may. winds are not much which a ter officially at the center city wind location. 3 miles per hour now and 7 miles per hour in allentown and most of you, most of the day will experience single digit winds. that is not much of a breeze. and just like yesterday. clouds off the coast, everything is melting away across the other side of the great lakes and high pressure is giving us the light winds and all of that sunshine. up in the lehigh valley and milder and 70 is your high. nicer than yesterday. if you like warmer temperatures, down the shore cooler down at the cool ocean water and 66 degrees and sunny and as we go through the next several hours
