protesters hit philadelphia city hall to rally against the controversial beverage tax. and penndot is getting ready for winter and the new online tool for commuters in time for the upcoming snowy season. >> and the big story is bail set. $2.5 million. for the man accused in the shooting spree. radee prince was caught in newcastle county after authorities say he shot tix people in maryland and delaware. jeanette reyes is live. >> reporter: radee prince is no stranger to the cover the system and law enforcement. he faced 15 felony convictions and arrested more than 40 times this afternoon and back behind bars accused of killing three people. >> this morning radee prince was transported after the judge set

the bail at $2.1 million. the judge gave him the opportunity to comment and he declined. prince is accused of leaving three dead and two in critical condition and one in stable condition. he faces an attempted murder and three weapons charges. the last shooting victim was jason ball. a used car do de dealer in wilmington. >> we are hoping for a speedy recovery no bring jason home. >> and ball was shot in the head and is in stable condition. his friends and family are confused on what led prince to travel over 50 miles to hunt ball down and shoot him twice. >> prince is accused of walking into his job at advanced granite solutions just before 9:00 monday morning and opening fire on his co-workers, killing

three. and he was spotted shortly after shooting ball in wilmington. >> they spotted him and he took off running and threw the gun and they were able to apprehend him 75 feet later and recovered the gun. >> he is held at the correctional facility here in wilmington and no word when he will be transerred to maryland to be arraigned there. jeanette reyes, 6 abc. >> thank you. this is the first time prince is accused of murder but as jeanette mentioned it's not his first arrest. his legal record contains alleged workplace violence, gun charges and traffic violations and problems with his probation. the 37-year-old was arrested more than 40 times in delaware and fired from a different job in maryland after being accused of punching a colleague.

read more about the investigation and suspect at 6abc.com. and more on the shooting survivors and photos from both shooting scenes. a 24-year-old man died after being shot in the chest. the victim was found on the 3800 block of north marshall street in philadelphia. police believe he was shot at a different location and then ran to a friends house where he collapsed. they have not yet identified a suspect or motive. dozens of protesters converged and city hall urging the mayor and city council to do away with the beverage test. we got reaction from both sides. >> reporter: teamster trucks circled city hall where outside protesters hoped their voices would reach city hall inside. teamsters and business owners were among the crowd calling on

council members to recall the 1.5% tax on sweetened and artificially sweetened drinks that went into affect in january. >> we don't want them to think we went away. we are here for the long haul. >> this half officials voted to roll back their beverage tax after just two months. the speaker report since january city stores see a decline in beverage sales as consumers took hire business to the suburbs, that meant hundreds of layoffs. >> the big companies the cvs's and wal-marts but the small stores are eaten up one day at a time. >> the suburban stores are up tremendously and the city stores are down tremendously, we moved our prosperity to the suburbs. >> and argue that it discourages businesses from coming to philadelphia.

popped up it would evaporate. than is what it did. 66 in philadelphia and 78 in allentown un65 in millville and trenton at 67 and 65 in cape may. next to the big blue atlantic. here is where thirng thingses are going. the high temperature of 72 at 3:00 where we ended up yesterday. probably holding in the low 70s by 4:00 and once you get close toward sun down this time of year with the low sun angle you'll quickly lose the warmth that is what we see on the thermometer. 8:00, down to 60 and 8:00 down to 58 and that is milder than where we were last night at 10:00 and it doesn't look like temperatures go as low as we go into tomorrow. and the morning in particular. in fact look at our forward forecast over the next 24 hours, the low 70s today and dipping down to the mid-50s by 7:00

there was a big explosion in the heart of downtown portland, oregon. firefighters say they know what caused it. officials say that two food trucks burst into flames after an employee tried to fill a diesel gas tank and quickly spread to three other cars in the parking lot and medics treated others for minor

injuries. the governor of florida declared a state of emergency as they prepare for a white nationalist leader richard spencer to speak on campus today. there is concerned today's speech may lead to scenes similar to charlottesville, virginia where spencer was also scheduled to speak. the university of florida advised students not to attend the event and the law requires them owe allow him to speak on campus however he was not invited by any student organization. and a small plane landed on the road in florida and was suppose to land at a small airport in st. petersburg and it landed on the street instead and crashed into two suvs and the pilot realized there was mechanical issues and landed on the road rather than someone's house. and three people inside of the

a new walking and running trail is now open in delaware county. officials celebrated the completion of the newest trail in tinicum township. spanning 3500 feet from the bridge to route 291. this section connects to the trail spanning nine counties in pennsylvania and new jersey and part of the east coast greenway at trail system that spans 3,000 mile as long the east coast once it's finished. seniors hear a lot about

meteorologist, david murphy, is back now with a look at the forecast. >> a nice streak going on as we go through the weekend. make your plans, stormtracker 6 live double scan shows us we are dry and as we take a look outside. we have the airport and bright blue skies, and natury a cloud in sight. and i told you this morning that it would evaporate and that happened quickly. now tranquil and breezy. we'll talk about that in a moment. and dew point down at 45 and 66 degrees. there are the winds, they turned out of the southwest and we expect a breeze the rest of today. and the breezes pick up a bit. 13 miles per hour in philadelphia and now it looks to get blustery in the northern half of the region with a gust of 20 every now and then and

breezier than yesterday and similar temperatures and similarly comfortable out there. 67 in allentown and 67 in trenton and another 67 on the thermometer in wilmington and millville. 66 in philadelphia, and 65 in cape may. even numbers pretty much beneath the bright blue sky and the winds are coming up from the southwest and you see how the northern half of the region is bumping up into the double digits and a 20 miles per hour gust at times and the far south you go are farther away from the wind profile and staying what you see there 9, 10, 11 miles per hour wind and the cloud cover that popped through earlier as we had a temperature and pressure difference over the chesapeake bay and formed the clouds briefly but so much dry air in place they couldn't survive. and additional cloud cover trying to pop in northwestern pennsylvania, not an issue for us. and lehigh valley lots of sun and mild and 72.

down the shore cool in the ocean 65 but on the boards with a land breeze we are going to bump up to 71 in a.c. and 70 in cape may. and philadelphia plenty of sunshine today and mild again with a high of 72 that is what we hit yesterday and the winds are breezy the farther north you go the breezier it will be this afternoon. 54 is the low, not too bad. well above average, and better than the overnight lows in philadelphia the last couple of nights, and the cooler suburbs going down to 74 degrees and a tic or two below that in a couple of areas. and on friday continued sunshine and winds turn around the northwest and normally we say that will tap into the cooler air, milder air that is pushed into the great lakes and this is such a gentle breeze you see the air sink down out of the mountains and sinking air tends to warm and we get warmer by a couple of degrees, speaking of warmwer say that way. 66 is the average high and 66
