atlantic counties where we're seeing the patchy dense fog, visibility is down to less than a half mile. you'll going to have to slow the speeds down, most should lift after 9:00 a.m. but you can clearly see just about everybody is fine except for the one little area in south jersey, atlantic city three 10ths of a mild, wildwood three 10ths, thomas river half mile and millville 1.7 miles, 9:00, 10:00 a.m. everything should lift. later this afternoon, looking at sunny skies with the high thin clouds filtering in above once again. very similar to what we saw yesterday and it's going to be extremely mild. yesterday we topped out at 79. today we're forecasting a high of 77. the normal, by the way, is only 65. and we've been a good ten to 15 degrees above average. seems like all month here. and it was definitely very, very warm last month. as well and we'll keep this winning streak going through halloween. with that said, it will cool down by halloween. we'll see high temperature drop back down to the 60's.

of even those numbers are above seasonal averages. i'll be back and we'll talk about the next chance of rain, tuesday and some of those cooler temperatures in the seven-day forecast. gray? >> thank you. time 7:02. developing philadelphia police officers standing their ground as protesters gathered outside of the 15th district. only action news was there as a group of demonstrators showed up on the 2800 block of levick street at 1:00 this morning. this is where two protesters were taken into custody following the arrest. for allegedly assaulting an officer during earlier protests outside the convention center at the annual meeting of police chiefs, the protesters mostly chanted at the officers who ignored. developing overnight. several police vehicles blocking off roosevelt boulevard at levick street when an officer lost control of his motorcycle. action news learned the officer had just left the police protester at the 15th district

when this all happened. the officer was taken to are ria torresdale hospital. he had a broken leg. no one else involved. the overnight protests at the convention center, yesterday, two officers were injured in that attack. mayor jim kenney and jeff sessions speaking at that conference, catherine scott was right there. ♪ . ♪ . >> reporter: philadelphia pipe and drums played at the pennsylvania convention center. at the international association of chiefs of police opening ceremony got underway. mayor kenney anyway and rich resolve welcomed local state and federal authorities to philadelphia for the conference that draws thousands from across the country and world. >> we're proud to be experiencing a 40-year low in our crime rate. i look forward to seeing the progress that which is out. >> we have to be will go to think outside the box. not reston our laurels.

favor of the cops. >> reporter: police say two officers were injured in the protest and were in stable condition. there were arrests. attorney general sessions is expected back monday, the conference runs through tuesday. at the pennsylvania convention center, catherine scott, channel 6 action news. your time 7:05. if you're just waking up with us, a philadelphia father has been charged after his toddler son was shot in the head. police say the child's 6-year-old brother pulled the trigger. >> police say the gun belonged to the father's brother who lived in the home with the family but the father now faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child. that little boy is in the hospital fighting for his life. trish hartman has the details. >> when i heard about it, i just broke down. >> reporter: people in tioga nicetown were shocked to learn that a 3-year-old had been shot in the head and rushed to the hospital. >> i feel destroyed because we have to more protective and the things we allow them to get

involved with. >> reporter: police say it happened after 3:00 p.m. in the 3600 block of north 18th, the victim's 6-year-old brother somehow got ahold of the gun and shot the 3-year-old in the forehead in the second floor bedroom. investigators say they believe a 12-year-old brother was also home at the time. but in adults. neighbors were stunned >> they sweet kids, you know, and i seen them the other day but i hadn't seen them today. >> reporter: charlene lives next door and was out when the shooting happens >> to come home and hear about this is disturbing. i hope and pray that, you know, he's going to be all right. >> reporter: people who didn't know the family gathered at the end of the street, heart broken over what happened >> i still hurt like it's so sad. to hear of a child that got shot is sad. >> reporter: reporting at temple university hospital, trish hartman, channel 6 action news. the search is on this morning for two suspect whose opened fire on a crowded

basketball court in delaware county leaving four people hurt. police believe the suspect fired from a bridge on to the basketball court below in the 1200 block of west carlos in chester around 6:00 last night. two men and two women wounded all of the victims were taken to the hospital with not life-threatening injuries, police say this could have been much worse, because there were about 30 on the basketball court at the time. . time is 7:07. coming in from delaware newsroom, a man from new york blacked out while driving along dewey beach yesterday. the driver hit two men from washington, dc, police tell us both victims died. the men were standing outside the starboard bar and restaurant when the man's suv hit them. the suv police say didn't stop until it hit a jeep in the restaurant's parking lot. so far no charges have been file. a big hero's welcome home for a soldier from delaware county this weekend.private fir

a stunner, the sun is warm. let's take a look at the forecast for the eagles game. monday night football against the washington redskins and everything still looks in tact. rain should hold off until after midnight. only in the form of showers tuesday when the steadier rains move in, we could see thunderstorms, and some gusty winds, the forecast for the eagles game looks just fine of mostly cloudy skies, mild, 69 for the first quarter, and by the fourth quarter, down to 66's more likely it stays dry, through the day on tuesday. we're sitting at 53 degrees here in philadelphia with a due point of 51. winds officially calm. pressure reading holding steady at 30.39 and the visibility starting to drop off a little bit now, getting these pockets of fog developing thanks to a south easterly flow off the ocean. far north and west, ok, reading,

allentown, trenton reporting ten miles, 310ths in philadelphia, 310ths in atlantic city, 44 in allentown, reading, 44, philadelphia 53, millville 45 and dover 50. we'll call it fairly mild. numbers are a good three to five degrees warmer than this same time yesterday, as we look at satellite 6. we don't see the cooler weather. east of this area of moisture, we're still seeing a south westerly winds, all of these locations are dealing with comfortable temperature, it's 70 out there in st. louis. it's 70 in memphis, new orleans, 76. here comes some of that cooler air out here, bismarck 37 and omaha 48. when this cool air arrives, it will moderate a little bit then second when it does pull through, it just drops us back down to where we should be for this time of year. i'm going to call it cooler, i

looking at these little girls, but the sisters were con joined and thanks to surgeon, they're almost ready to go home to north carolina, children's hospital of philadelphia released new videos of are rin and abby, they were joined at the top of their heads and successfully separated by a 30-member team in a very risky 12-hour surgery, it is miraculous to see their daughters hitting milestones hike rolling over and crawling. >> they're such happy content little girl for what they've gone through, they never lived outside hospital walls's they're still happy, they're not afraid

victims of a devastating hurricane. those stories and more in a moment. first a beautiful start to your sunday morning >> pretty, take a look at this picture from the center city skyline via sky 6. the sun just coming up over the horizon, chris sowers has a look at the exclusive accu-weather forecast. pretty looking sunday >> we're spoiled rotten at this point. temperatures have been extremely mild over last few weeks, wall-to-wall blue skies and ton of sunshine since tuesday, that could be high thin clouds later this afternoon but all in all looks like a really nice day. we do have fog that has settled in. take it easy on some roadways, south jersey in particular, cumberland, atlantic and cape may county, it's patchy but dense, we're expecting rapidly changing visibilities over the next few hour, slow down traveling speeds. most should lift after 9:00 a.m.

but again with the angle of the sun being quite a bit lower in the sky than it was a few months ago, the fog could linger through the mid to late morning. right now we're seeing three 10ths of a mile in philadelphia, five 10ths in millville and three 10ths for the shore area, wildwood, atlantic city and toms river, allentown trenton and the poconos, but southeast in the delaware river, fog hanging tough. satellite 6, we'll see mostly sunny skies with high thin clouds overspreading the area, almost the exact same thing we saw yesterday. union taking on orlando later this afternoon. expect mostly sunny skies with the million key white cyrus clouds overspreading the area, a light breeze out of the south southeast. by 4:00 we're up to 74, by the 90 and minute we're back down to 70. looking ahead, stays dry today, tomorrow we have a 20% chance of a spotty, i don't want to call it a shower, i'll call it a

sprinkle or two. tuesday is the main event, that the when some of the heavier rains and thunderstorms move in and things start quieting down, i'll be back along in just a few minutes, i'll have the timing of tuesday's system and how much rain you can expect in your neighborhood with the accu-weather seven-day forecast. >> thank you. we have a developing story out of the mayfair section of philadelphia this morning, the act cam was outside the 15th police district on the 2800 block of levick street where a hand. of protesters stood across the street. the demonstrators were waiting for a fellow protester from jail. investigators say the protester was arrested yesterday afternoon for assaulting a police officer during a demonstration outside the pennsylvania convention center. >> two officers had miles an hour injuries during the center city protests. hundreds demonstrated outside on the convention center where the international association of chiefs of police were meeting. four protesters were issued citations for disorderly

going to be all right. >> reporter: that little 3-year-old boy remains in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the forehead. philadelphia police made an arrest in a string of robberies in the fairmount section of the city. friday night after a man grabbed a woman at gunpoint as she was getting out of her car, officers say he took her purse and ran off. police were nearby. they caught him, the man is in now the prime suspect in similar crimes in the area that all date back to october 15th. this weekend, police were on hand to insure peaceful in bucks county. in response to a deer caucus found at the stadium last thursday. the security is tight at the homecoming as central bucks east high school took on west in doylestown yesterday, the mascot happens to be a deer and many believe the caucus was meant to taunt them before the game. the accident still under investigation's it was a close
